Good evening one and all. I thought I would post my first of many rants tonight. This one is on the topic of Light and Dark. So many people seem to be so misinformed as to believe that Light equates to good and Dark equates to evil. Honestly this pisses me off. Light and Dark may be pursued and followed by anyone for any means. It is the use to which you put it that determines who you are, not what your using is. A follower of God who believes the end is here and kills his family to spare them from suffering the apocalypse is not a good man, however that does not mean he is not following the Light. On the reverese, a Satanist who volunteers at homeless shelters and is an avid supporter to cancer research is by and far a good person, but still a follower of the Dark. I use God and Satan here merely because they are well known figures, but this spans to any and all religions and beliefs. Light and Dark in and of themselves are forces, not beings. Therefore they are not good nor evil. Those that use them are the ones who are good or evil. Even if, however, Light was good and Dark was evil does that mean we should destroy the light. No. Far from it. Without Light, Dark cannot exist and vice-a-versa. Just as there is no good without evil, no love without hate, and no joy without sorrow. It is the theory of Yin and Yang. Two opposites cannot exist without their counterpart to balance them. Because Light and Dark are opposites and counterparts, many seem to believe that one is of a more malevolent nature and the other a benevolent nature. Personally I find this very false and believe the notion came about merely due to the "creatures" who prefer the Dark over the Light. Again, personally though, I fear those who dwell in the Light far more. For, though the Dark hides the physical form of threats unknown, in the Light the threat can be hidden right in front of you, beneath the exterior of your best friend.

I am happy that you thought of this. It helps explain why I could not tell more of my religion. It also relates to the upcoming war and the role we play in it. The Light side of the world seeks to destroy us and they have learned of my existance as well as my sideing with the Shadows. They asked me to join them and to abandon my father, Sithis. I denied them and made myself a enemy of them. So I did not speak more of my Father but now I know enough of what is to come and will answer any quesions you now have.

ummm, I am not so sure i should be here then... sweatdrop I am against the darkness that surrounds me and i seek to follow the path of the light. but I know so little about it and I am searching for a teacher. you clearly are not it confused . why did you turn to the path of darkness? And what do you know about what is to come?

The path of Light will not be rejected here. As long as you prove not to be an enemy you are welcomed by me. As Chapel said, 'Light does not always equate to good and Darkness does not always equate to evil'. I know of things that I cannot tell you until i am sure of your position, if you are a freind or an enemy.

STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!! He is the one who wishes to destroy us. He wishes to disrupt the balance between Light and Dark and by doing so destroying everything. Shikharys does not know what he speaks of. if you wish to remain with us and learn the truth then you will end all contact with him and his freinds.

but he is on the side of light sad how can he be bad? it is always said that the brothers and sisters of the darkness are corrupt and will destroy all in their plight for power. how do I know you aren't trying to poison my mind with your foul corruption? scream

Light is not always good, Darkness is not always bad. If one is destroyed then the other cannot survive. Look into yourself, does it truly feel like I am trying to poison your mind? Does it feel like I am evil?

jacob, do not seek out her energy and attack her, it could be detrimental to your health. you don't know what kind of protections she could have up. let her be what she wishes. Elanora, I know you don't like darkness, it surrounds me as well, but i can guarantee you that it isn't always bad. Jacob is a friend of mine whom I trust quite a lot. he will not harm you if I tell him not to. have no more fear of the dark child.

Elanora dear, you intrigue me. In what way though I shall not yet reveal. Though I must ask you this... You seem to have a very bad notion of those who walk the path of the Dark, but hold in high regard those walking the path of Light. What though do you think of one who walks the fine line between them, or one who walks neither? Also, as a side-note, I understand the development of enemies may take place in here, but do be at civilized towards each other. For now at least...
