the strangeness Zebal the strangeness Zebal Anton Meeks reporting in for duty. lol .I have to get use of that. Well i'm a Raver, Cyberpunk, Artist, NAVY I.T., and DJ in training. I.m a easy going guy with a reactive attitude. Most of my friends see as a geek that can do 93 push-ups(current record). My life obsessions is music, art , and technology. Next i'm month going to navy and I going to be offline for three months so you got a short time to get to know me. mrgreen DJ in training huh... How's that coming along? And what all do you learn? I've always been curious about this. I'm guessing you learn about the tech side of it and how to set up the speakers and sound board and adjust the sound levels and all that and then you learn about how to get a party started? I'm interested, so please explain? The tech and sound part was easy since some of my friends is undergrounds rappers and I help them setup thier shows for extra cash. But sound is kind of tricky , you have to be careful not to put a sound effect that can throw off the song. Plus when you set layerd effects( stacking sound effects on top each other to get a different sound) you to experiment adding and taking away effects. To be a good DJ you got to have the right gear for you. Like you can a laptop with a digital turntables which let you use all songs you have and mixing software. Or you can use vinyl turntables to get amazing sound quality , but you have to lug around bags,boxes, or milk crates full of records. I try to practice by using my friends gear, but ever since I lost my job, I don't have the time. Oh ok, that makes sense. That's cool you have some underground rapper friends. What programs do you use for making music. I've heard the name Fruity Loops tossed around for making music, but I really don't know anything about it. I'm interested in messing around with making electronica/remixes, but I wouldn't know where to begin. Got any tips/suggestions? Yeah I knew about the digital vs vinyl, I think I prefer digital. Like vinyl sounds amazing but you can do more with digital. What's your preference? Frooty Loops is one of the programs, there also Sony Acid and Reason. Each one of them comes in pay packs. The more you pay,the more you can do. Each pack vary in forms of toy tools(just playing with them for kicks) to pro tools(the same ones people use in studios). If you play the piano, you can use the keyboard features make your own effects. Sound filters can warp effects, vocals in songs,even your own voice. the strangeness Atomic Lightbulb   Hey, I'm Atomic Lightbulb, or Lexie when I'm not on the internet. I don't like that name though and I'm trying to come up with something more interesting that doesn't sound lame. (Like Dark Ravyn the vampire or whatever. XD)
I use smileys excessivly to express myself, haha. I'm not Cyber goth or anything, but I wish I could pull it off because I fricken love those cyber dreads you all have. =( I'm also super poor so I couldn't even buy neat stuff like that if I wanted. OH well.
Anyway, I'll be sure to stop in here and chat every now and then. So far, I like what I see and everyone seems nice so I'm not just gonna leave you all.
I've said enough already. Atomic out. (Haha, that was lame! XDD)
Just a suggestion, but yarn falls are relatively inexpensive. Just buy a $5 pack of colored yarn from the local craft store, and get a hair band. Cut the yarn into varied lengths and then tie them to the hair band. Presto. Instant falls. Here's a random pic of yarn falls that I found on a yahoo image search: [[Clicky]]Aw, that would be fabuols(sp?). but mostly I don't have the face (or weight) to pull it off. My face is kinda too round. I'd look like every fat goth poser you see in movies ( the ones they make fun of...)

Mm... I very much doubt that. All you'd have to do is make them with textured yarn (then they won't look cheap and poser-ish), and length would be important too, longer ones tend to look a little more pro.
And you'd just have to be sure to wear them with makeup. Draw attention to your eyes.
Bright eyeshadow and heavy/fancy eyeliner helps with this.
I can't really show you any pictures because I haven't got any, but a rather well endowed friend of mine shares your insecurities, but made this discovery over the course of many years of boredom, DIY experimentation, and drunken nights. lol... not sure how the last one contributed, but she swears up and down that vodka helps her creative process.... a woman after my own heart that she is. heart
