Irean came running into the room. "Sorry I'm late, I was told I had five mintues to get here from the princibal's office. She even told me to tell Ms. Laeves that I just got here today." She spoted a seat way in the back and walked stright to it, and sat down. Once she sat down she removed her hood and looked stright ahead ready for the day.

Oh my gosh, im late!
Crysta thought as she looked at the clock. Crysta grabbed her staff and rushed through the doors of the school. She watched the room numbers pass by and finally room number 2202 appeared. She quickly opened the door and walked swiftly to an empty seat without looking up.
I can feel someone looking at me...i can feel it.
Her heart was pounding through her chest.

Moriane turned her blazing smile on the two students that had just entered the room. "Crysta, is it? And..." She look at her role call, pursing her lips as she perused the document. "Irean! Yes, the new new girl. Welcome to the Academy." She look around at all the other students, fidgeting in their chairs and trying to seem as small as possible.. "As no one else wishes to state their name and powers without being chosen, I think your punishment will be to go second and third, as Felix has kindly gone first." She smiled again at the two late students, each having now found a chair."

*Irean just stared back at the teacher and then spoked* "My name is Irean Rose. I am a controller over conbustion, and the abilty to absorb other powers." *Once she was done talking cont to look at the teacher. Only when her classmates spoke did she look over at them. She felt like she should be outside instead of inside and really didn't want to talk to anyone but the teacher, when spoken to.*

Crysta looked up at the teacher after she heard that Irean had stopped talking.
"Um...yes, my name is Crysta...i have psychic powers."
She looked back down at her desk, hoping that was enough. She twirled her staff in her left and and fiddled with her right hand in her lap.
i guess that wasn't so bad...

"Oh good! I have such a variety of students to teach this year." Moriane clapped her hands in front of her. "Well, those of you that haven't introduced themselves may get a chance to do so tomorrow. For those of you who walked in just now, I am Miss. Moriane, controller of the element of water." She pointed to the board, " My little friend here has written my name up for you." Moriane manipulated the water and formed a snake that proceeded to wrap across and over her shoulders.
"For those of you who may have not read your schedules clearly, this is magical control, a class that you will have for all or most of your time spent at this school. The main point of this class is, of course, to help you to understand and control that power which nature has given you for your benefit." Many incredulous looks met that statement. For many, their powers had proved nothing but trouble.
A bell rang and Moriane smiled. "That's the break bell. Have we been in here that long already? You all have 15 minutes to do whatever you want, even stay in the classroom, if you really wanted to." The students started to pick up their bags and packs. "Meet back before the 15 minutes are up alright?"

15 minutes?
Crysta tighted her grip on her staff and glanced at the teacher and the other students around her. Crysta noticed most of them didn't look back at her. Crysta began to walk to the door when she felt something odd as she approached the door.
Crysta shrugged and thought nothing of it. She walked through the door and down the hall to the courtyard. There were lots of students walking around laughing with their friends. Crysta walked only in the shadows and found a spot where not many could see her.
Crysta's eyes glowed white and her hair hovered a bit when she used her staff to move a branch out of her way so she could get to a large rock to sit. When she sat down, she watched the other students. Most didn't even look at her at all.

Felix got up and left the classroom.15 minutes, time to practice. He left the populated areas and went off into a small room with targets.This is perfect.Felix lifted his hands as three blades started to float out of the sheaths they were in. he moved his hands to the targets and the blades shot out like bullets at the targets. The blades struck the center of the target. Felix brought his arm to the side and the blades wiggled a little. the blades then fell to the ground soon flying towards felix. The blades started to pick up speed and felix duck just in time before the severed his head. they struck the wall behind him. Felix got up and pulled the swords out of the wall.Why do they always do that? He realized that blade was coming out of his arm as he saw a cut in his shirt.

Moriane sighed and looked around the now empty class room. Most of the students had bolted off to do their integrating, but she had noted a few others not to eager to be off and chat. Well...it's like this every year. She sat down in her high backed desk chair and snapped her fingers, releasing the enchantment on her water snake. The snake bulged and burst, the water that created it reentering the pouch on her side.
Moriane rubbed her eyes. "Well, time for breakfast eh?" She said to no one in particular. As she left the class room she dispelled the magic repression she had placed in the door way with a wave of her hand. She was surprised one of the students had actually noticed it. She shrugged and walked off down the hallway towards the cafeteria.

A few girls giggled as they walked past where Crysta was sitting. She noticed her teacher over near the cafeteria.
Crysta sighed...
She stood...i guess i could walk around a bit...
Crysta lifted her staff in her left hand and moved the low branch out of her path. She stayed in the shadows, and walked towards the cafeteria.
Crysta's stomach growled.i guess it is time for breakfast...huh
Crysta entered the cafeteria and decided what she wanted, hoping it wouldn't take to long.
there's too many people around me...Crysta looked around her, trying not to be noticed.

Irean stepped outside of the classroom and watched the teacher carefully. When Moriane left the classroom she cont to watch a bit more till she turned the corner. Irean the went outside and found a nice shady place to watch other students. "What is this place, these people are like me but with different abilites. Well one thing for sure is that this year is going to be different and quite interesting. Wonder where my other classmates are?" *While she was thinking that she spotted one of them. She didn't move case she didn't feel like blowing anything up and wasn't sure if the person was friendly or not. Irean then realized it was the girl that showed up after her, without thinking said the girl's name out loud.* "Crysta?"

"Crysta?"
Crysta turned when she heard her name called, but she didn't know who said it. She tightened her grip on her staff and then she noticed the girl in her class. is that Irean? did she call my name?
Crysta felt her hand release tension on her staff.
Before Crysta could do anything else, she said her name too. "Irean?"
Crysta opened the cafeteria door and walked a little closer to her.
didn't she say she had the power to blow up things?
Crysta smiled a bit, not knowing what to do now.
Crysta raised her hand as in trying to send a wave to her. "Hi..."

*Irean watched as Crysta comes out of the cafeteria's door and raises her hand. She smiles relieved that she was right about the girl being Crysta, raises her hand in return* "Hi, like to join me, promise not to touch you or your stuff."

Felix was still looking at his wound.great, just great. Wheres the clinic.Felix thought to himself as he got up and left the room. he started to make his way down the hall when a teacher noticed him. The teacher stated"Why is your arm cut? Who did this?" I looked at him "I did it. It was an mistake. Wheres the clinic?" He looked at felix puzzeled."I'll take you to the clinic."As he started to escort Felix down the hall.

Crysta nodded a bit, then quickly answered her back. "Sure..."
Crysta stepped a few feet forward. "Oh...yes...i will join you."
she seems nice enough Crysta smiled a bit. i havent really spoken to anyone like this before...ill try to be a good friend...
Crysta dropped her left arm down her side, clutching her staff firmly. Then when Crysta looked at Irean's eyes, she felt a calm soothing feeling...like she would be a good friend. Crysta sighed, enjoying the feeling her body sent to her from her new friend. She noticed Irean was smiling back.
