She was sitting on her bed, trying to eat a slice of toast without using her hands, which were busy trying to tie her second boot on. Having messed up, she undid it and started over.
"Yes Mom, I'm sure I'm done!" she called to her mother, referring to breakfast. As she spoke the toast fell from her lips, hit her pants, and the jam suck it to her boot and fingers.
"Graa" she said, lacking the mental ability to form words when trying to multi-task so much. She picked the slice of toast up, checked it and determined it relatively clean, then put it back in her mouth. She finished tying her boot and dashed to the bathroom to wipe the sticky goo from her boot and hand.
"You're going to be late!" she heard her mother call.
"I know!" She replied, going back to her room in only a few steps. She tied a jacket to her waist and grabbed her school bag. She spared a glance at a mirror and tightened her brunette pony tail. She smiled, then ran out of the house.
"Bye!" she said less than a second before the door closed. She paused, took a deep breath, and then walked over to her bike. One last look at the house, then she pedaled down the long driveway to where it met the road, where her friends that have to pass to get to school meet up with her each school morning.

Aderyn Doorknob
Addie jolted up from her sleep panting, with tears streaming down her face, and in a cold sweat. She couldn't remember what she had been dreaming about, but this had been happening every other day or so. She sometimes remembered her dreams, but they were always scary nonsense, like falling off of the planet or being drowned by a man with the face of a wolf in a river, one of his boots stamping her hand down onto the sharp rocks and muck. She looked out the window to see the sun starting to rise. She proceeded to realize that her bed was wet. She cursed, using some words she couldn't use in front of the family, and hopped out of bed. She pulled her wet clothes off and tossed them into the center of the bed, pulled out some fresh clothes, and sneaked across the hall to rinse off in the tub. As she took out a towel from the closet, she swiped a sheet. After she was dressed, she sneaked back into her room and stripped the wet sheet off of her bed, keeping the clothes in the middle. she wrapped it up and stuffed it under her bed to sneak into the wash later. She wiped down the tarp that she laid down the first day with her towel and put the new sheet on. She kicked the towel under the bed with the sheet. She brushed her hair and picked up her new backpack.
School had already started for the year, but today was her first day. She padded down the stairs and sat in the kitchen, waiting for everyone to wake up. Her lady of the house walked in about half an hour later, looking a little disconcerted to see the tiny girl sitting there so quietly, then amused, seeming to assume that Addie was excited about going to school. Addie watched the mother prepare a breakfast comprising of waffles, toast, eggs, juice, and cereal.Did she copy the breakfast off of the box? She thought to herself. "Fill up, it's your first day of school! I bet you're excited," said her foster mother.
Excitement wasn't quite the term to describe how Addie was feeling. Dread, maybe. Or anxiety. It was the middle of the year, but she was entering kindergarten today. She didn't touch her plate.

Zach sighed, staring at his plate. Some days he felt like the only boy at school. He ate a few more bites, put his plate in the sink and left, locking the door behind him. Today was one of the mornings that his dad had left for work just after Zach had gotten up.
"Oh, right" he said, looking at his bicycle. "The wheel is still flat."
He jogged to the road, with his bag slung over his shoulder. He thought about how he was going to be a few minutes late if he didn't hurry, and how Pat was usually waiting at the end of the drive for her friend. [[Currently a not-played character.]] He hoped that she wouldn't be there by the time he passed her drive. Her family was effectively his dad's landlord, and he just wasn't comfortable walking with the two girls.

Kiara blinked awake and looked around. The highlights she had put in should last until the end of the week. Smiling she stretched and jumped out of hed, rubbing her unusual orange eyes as she walked to the bathroom for her morning shower. Once she finished her shower she went back to her room, with a towel wrapped around her, and sat at her vanity. She smiled picking up her brush and starting to brush her long hair, a task that often took hours. She had sat silently as the world went by for an hour and ten minutes before all of her hair had been brushed.
Once she had finished brushing her hair Kiara fashioned a portion of it into a ponytail sitting on top of her head and two long braids to the side of it which intertwined around the ponytail at the end. After a total of about an hour and fourty three minutes she had finished her hair and stood up to her dressed. She picked out a small lavender, wool, button up shirt and a long, bright purple skirt. Her only pair of shoes were white, dress shoes that luckily matched most of her clothes. She only wore button up shirts because anything else would mess up her hair.
Once her hair was done and she was fully clothed, she hurried down stairs for breakfast. She noticed the girl who was staying with them and waved. "Hi... I'm guessing your getting ready for your first day of school?" She asked as she walked over to the cabinet for a bowl of cereal. "Your gonna love it at school.. it's really fun until around seventh grade... but by then your used to it." She sighed pouring a bowl of cereal. She had already started to eat when she realized she had just poured herself a bowl of 'Sugar 'n Cubes with milk. "Forgot my contacts..." She sighed pulling out a small case and putting them in, one being purple and the other leaving her bright orange eyes to glow in the sunlight.
"Eh... no point in letting all this sugar go to waste.." She sighed as the cubes began to fall apart in the liquid. She added a few banana and strawberry slices and began to eat what turned out to be the best breakfast of her life. She hadn't even begun to consider what the sugar would do to her for the day. Based on her schedule she would have until gym got out and english class began to have her sugar rush, then she would be half asleep for the rest of the day. As long as she made it through math without falling asleep she would be safe... "So... how are you today Ally?" She asked her foster sister. It hadn't taken long for her to get used to the idea and she was happy to have her for a sister for now.

Addie watched her foster sister, Kiara, come down the stairs. She seemed strange; her hair was tied up in a few strange ways. As she began to speak, Addie noticed her pour a bunch of sugar cubes into her milk. "Well, I guess she isn't much for copying the box..." She thought. She began to feel a bit reassured about going to a new school- despite Kiara's shaky credentials, with her purple and orange eyes and lumpy unblended smoothie and a bowl. And her memory... "Um, it's Addie."
//I hope you don't mind me using your color scheme naro, it makes things simpler. I added a thought color, though. Not to mention wolffan's ooc.

Kiara froze. "Um... oops... sorry about that Addie.." she laughed slightly feeling bad about forgetting the girl's name. "Want me to walk with you to your school?" She asked filling her mouth with the sugary breakfast. "Wow... this is really good... hey, aren't you gonna eat? You'll need your energy for school." She swallowed and filled her mouth with another spoonful. 'Something's missing....' She decided andstood up to search the cabinets. "Oatmeal.. that should do it!" She cheered and poured half the oatmeal into her bowl. After that the meal was perfect and she ate it happily as the sugar absorbed the milk and mixed with the fruits and oatmeal. "Wanna try a bite?" She asked holding the bowl towards Addie. "It's REALLY good!"
((XD I more stole yours than you stole mine... but you did steal Wolfie's ooc and I cannot forgive you for that. my thought color is red. and any other color I eventually need to add will be orange... she has a little theme to her wink ))

Addie shook off the name thing and was confronted with the sugar fruit oat concoction. "Er..." She wasn't really sure how to handle this, and she surprised herself when she said, "o-okay..." She tentatively took a bite, and realized that she liked it a LOT. She chewed very slowly, then swallowed loudly. "...It's alright," she admitted. The first bite really opened up her appetite, and now she was really hungry.
//Yeah, I so thought you were using dark blue. Turns out that is wolffan's too, I think. Whoops.

Kiara smiled pulling the bowl back over to her and eating more. "Man... that is alot better than I expected it to be.. alot more filling too..." she sighed, being full after eating just a bit more than half of it. "hmm.. I guess I should start packing my things for school..." She sighed standing up and running back to the stairs. She got up to her room and quickly realized she didn't finish her math homework. 'Oh man... this isn't good...' She sighed pushing everything lazily into her back. "Doesn't matter though! Today's going to be great! I can just copy someone else's!"
She laughed, clipping the bag onto her. She had bought a messenger bag style backpack and cut the strap in half. Then she attached a purple and orange clip to it so she didn't have to worry about trying to get a backpack on without messing up her hair. Her sewing skills weren't amazing but they were pretty good since the stitching hadn't broken during the past two years of school. She hurried downstairs with a smile and looked around for something to do until she left for school. "WELL! I'm bored now..."

Addie tried to focus on other things as Kiara finished her breakfast, only turning her attention back to it when the girl was getting her stuff together. She pulled the bowl over slowly, not really wanting anyone to notice, then ate it quickly and quietly. She got a little braver and even took a sip of her orange juice. That ruined it though, her mouth was a world of sour now. "GAH! So much sugar in the cereal!" She whimpered a bit, then tried to mask her face as her sister came back down.

Kiara looked at Addie confused. "Hey.. you okay?" She stared and noticed her bowl was empty. "Oh! So you DID like it!" She laughed with a smile,proud to know her cration was a success, even though it was an accident. She looked at a bit of her hair that had fallen out. At first she was angry but after a moment realized how well it would work. She pulled a bit more out before forming it all into a braid. Usually a girl took two or three minutes for a braid, she on the other hand, would be working on this until class started. "So... you ready to go?" She asked with a smile, working on her braid without paying much attention other than the fact her arm was sliding down slowly.

Addie nodded, sheepish at having finished the bowl and grimacing from the taste in her mouth. She scraped the bowl for the last drops of milk, masking the nasty with a few drops of sweetness. She watched Kiara braid her hair slowly. It was a long process anyways, but she was so meticulous... She picked up her backpack from next to her chair and got near Kiara, almost sneaking. She didn't like to be anywhere near the focus of attention, but she didn't want to go to school alone either.
//Take your pick, either this or mix'em up. Which is technically an exercise. This would be my first RP ever though. So how am I doing? =P

Kiara smiled and walked out the door, holding it for Addie. Once they were both out she closd and locked the door and began the walk to the school. "So.. you excited about your first day?" She smiled turning to look at Addie. Her braid was only about an eighth of the way done and she was already poking herself in the eye half the time when she moved her hand. This gave her a great idea and she pulled out her nail polish. She could do her hair anytime, If she took this out during class it would be taken away. "It's going to be loads of fun... just don't be too shy."

Addie hesitated, then walked out ahead of Kiara. She waited for Kiara to walk up next to her, and they were off. She was still really nervous about school, but she was feeling a little better. She wasn't particularly happy about the fact that Kiara wasn't going to be with her once she got there. At the mention of doing nails, Addie just looked up, wide-eyed. Nail polish looked like fun... She didn't remember ever having done that, but that didn't mean anything. There were a lot of things she didn't remember. She nodded, almost completely unrecognizably.
//What? Wow can mean anything =P. Including a certain sellout of a videogame.

Kiara noticed Addie was staring while she did her nails. "You like?" She asked stopping and crouching over. "I have one color that you'll LOVE!" She smiled searching through the make-up pouch of her bag, digging deeper and deeper until she found what she was looking for. "Here we go!" She cheered pulling out a small case of pink nail polish. "I noticed you seem to like pink alot.. Okay.. now hold out your fingers and I'll put it on for you.." she smiled as she opened up the bright pink container and pulled out the brush.
((I used to play WoW... they destroyed it... but you're way better than I was when I first started rping stare kinda annoying rly..))

At the sight of the pink nail polish, she lit up. She did enjoy the fact that Kiara knew about some of the things she liked, even if it was a bit disconcerting. The idea of being close to someone was daunting... Despite herself, she held out her hand. She even cracked a bit of a smile before she got it under control. When her nails were done, she muttered, "thanks." She wasn't much for speaking, especially without her memory or people that she really knew.
//xD I'm not really one to jump into things... Not by myself, at least. I watched for a lot longer. And I'm not inexperienced in writing in general.
