As Shuji started running, Harou took out two kunai."Down to five kunai after I throw these two. ." Harou threw both kunai, not at shuji, but on either side of the small area Harou was standing in before where something awkward had gone down.
"I don't know what he's done, but he's trying to draw me closer with wide ranged attacks and running to the side. I assume for me to- s**t!" Right then he saw Shuji was about to release his shuriken. Harou was thinking to much to be able to effectively dodge them so Harou dropped to the ground. However, not on his hands, but on his back. Harou would've been vulnerable otherwise. As the shuriken soared over Harou and his back hit the ground, he used his second jutsu of the day.
"Blood of the Assassin, ketushai!" At that moment Harou was completely invisible. His body, his footsteps, his entire existence seemed to have just vanished. At the same time he popped himself up onto his feet and charged Shuji down, avoiding the area that the two kunai surrounded. As he approached Shuji he drew his reverse blade kodachi and struck down at his shoulder, being careful to avoid serious damage to the collar bone.

Silent, footprints are visible. But I am not walking up to you, still running. It's like charging at you. The only advantage at this point is that you don't know where I'm going to strike.))

*Interrupt Attack*
The moment that Harou's back hit the ground, Shuji released a burst of chakra. Harou must have forgotten about the jutsu that Shuji had called out for, even though there were no results at the time. This was because this technique was more of a trap. With a grin, Shuji crouched low to the ground as he started to channel chakra into the earth.
From the ground all around the Chuunin, claws made of earth formed and quickly shot out of the ground to surround him. They were attached to chains, though the sound they made was more like rocks shifting as opposed to the sound of metal clanking and shaking as they moved about. They moved quickly, aiming for Harou's arms and legs in an attempt to hold him to the ground.
I wonder what he'll do, Shuji thought as he continued to focus chakra into the ground. It was fun to see what skills this Chuunin had, but it was getting close to time to end this whole ordeal.

Harou saw the claws start to come up. He thought quickly performing some hand seals, when they clasped together in the final one his chest began rumbling as a bear tore through his shirt. It began viciously swinging at the claws, it's heavy paw shattering the pieces of rock. All the meanwhile, Harou with his hands still together, rolled backwards over his shoulder and onto his knees. One of the claws jolted straight at the bears neck to grab it, but it seemed the second the claw tried to grasp it the bear just dissipated into smoke.
Harou's breath began to grow heavy. The bears head roar of his chest through the open hole in his shirt, as still as night. Harou just kept his eyes glued to Shuji.

Shuji couldn't help but smile. That was one heck of a trick he had there, and it was something that seemed like it would take a lot of chakra. Shuji wondered how much more Harou could take, though in all honesty neither of them had taken much of a real hit this entire fight. They had just been expending chakra as they tried to catch one another off guard.
With both Shinobi's out in the open, there wasn't much room for stealth or trickery. This left only the most obvious of choices; melee combat. With a grunt, Shuji cracked his neck and then his shoulders. He was trying to limber up a little so they could continue this match.
"Whenever you're ready to start again, just give a nod," Shuji said politely as he cracked his knuckles.

Harou's breathing started to slow a little as he stood still, resting. His chakra took a hit from that move, but not to bad. Harou threw his sword down on the ground and took a stance. Just a plain jane stance, his feet shoulder width apart, his hands at his sides. He was ready though, every muscle in his body loosened as he waited for his opponent to strike. Harou nodded at Shuji, signaling an attack was able to come.

With a smile, Shuji started to trot towards Harou. It didn't look like he was planning much of anything, though he was starting to pick up speed a little as he approached. There wasn't any change in direction either, which meant that the Jounin was once again charging head-on towards his opponent. This should have seemed like a mistake, especially since he had tried it once before to mixed results. However, the Jounin had come up with a plan this time.
Taking a deep breath, Shuji pushed the muscles in his legs and tried to gain as much speed as he could. At one point in his life, he had been much faster, almost rivaling Manndar in terms of sheer physical speed. However, that was all past him now, after facing defeat during his first Jounin exam. With a little more physical exertion, Shuji picked up as much speed as he could, some dust from the ground starting to kick up as he moved. Before long, he was roughly twenty feet from Harou.
Without hand seals, chakra expenditure was a little more difficult. Concentrating as much as he could, Shuji formed the chakra in his core as he prepared his attack. When he was ten feet from Harou, Shuji released the chakra that he had been building and vanished from sight, kicking up a cloud of dust at the same time. He had once again used the Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) to move himself quickly from in front of Harou and placed himself above Harou and to the left, a kick from his right leg swinging in toward his head.

He's running head on. . ? Again. . . .? Harou knew this was stupid, but he was no fool. Shuji was a Jounin, which means he had a plan. Harou activated yet another ketushai ability. Performing a few hand seals, he let the chakra accumulate to his hand. He held it there for the time being, waiting for a time to strike. All the sudden Shuji disappeared for a moment. Without hesitation or know as to where Shuji went, Harou dropped back. Rolling over his shoulder and back onto his feet. Shuji was two feet, at most, from Harou.
Harou held his hand out at Shuji, almost like a gun. The chakra forming a ball at the end of his finger tip. With a loud cry the ball of chakra shot from his finger like a bullet from the barrel of a gun, placing itself straight through Shuji's back, under his right shoulder blade. At point blank range, virtually impossible to dodge at such speeds. One of the Ketushai Clans most powerful and coveted jutsu that he had taken the time to master, with the help of Soul of course.

There wasn't much time for Shuji to react, so he did the best he could with the time available. He had been training with the earth element for quite some time, and had gotten good at controlling it from a ranged position. However, he was still in the air at this point, which meant it would be even harder. With a grunt, Shuji brought his hands into the ram seal, followed by the ox seal and focused his chakra.
As Shuji's foot hit the ground, a mound of earth about five inches thick rose from the ground in front of the Jounin. As it did so, Harou's attack made contact with the earth. Had Shuji continued to expend chakra, there was a good chance that the earth would have stopped it. However, Shuji wasn't about to take any chances with running out any time soon, and thus knew that he'd have to take the hit.
The blast shot through the earth, the mound shattering into shards of stone. These shards, being infused with some of Shuji's chakra, did something a little more interesting. Instead of launching back, as would make the most sense, they instead flew out in a radius around Shuji, three little rocks covering about a square foor all spanned out into a twenty foot radius. This meant that if Harou wasn't quick on his feet, he was about to eat shrapnel.
Shuji however, was met with the blast as it connected with the back of his shoulder. It's momentum had been slowed, but it still broke the skin and traveled into his body for a good distance. It hurt like hell, but the Jounin held in any cries of pain. It sucked, but it could have been a lot worse.
