I'm Bill from Australia (pushing 70).
I couldn't find a beard or walking frame for my avatar.
As the result of a purely serendipitous event I've been researching relativity for more than 26 years and have come to the conclusion that 'physics' is no longer a study of reality but is controlled by people who are more interested in playing mind-games and maintaining the status-quo of what has effectively become a religion rather than seeking an advancement of knowledge.

I'm sieg...and it has been too long since I've had to do something like this. I'm a very nomadic type of person, i don't tend to stay in one place for too long. so if I dissapear from the guild for a while, go and talk to the other guilds I'm a part of, I'm sure they don't know where I am either. But i'm generally a very mellow person. I tend to be long winded, but that's just how I am. I aspire to publish my own book or story, and you can see samples of my writing at my deviant art page. The link is in my profile.
Although, I do behave somewhat like a cheshire cat. I enjoy philosophy, and I also do very well with romantic poetry, but I prefer to have an intended recipient in order to make it better.

You're making wonderful progress. Now your kids will never have to say "My father was...a drinker..." It's so interesting to meet another linguist. On second thought I do not believe I know what a linguist is? Is it someone who analyzes the manner in which people speak or is it merely an orator?

It's more someone who can speak multiple languages, I'm not really much of one though. I know some smatterings here and there, usually regarding certain texts, and mostly picked it up from my crazy "I speak 6 languages" friends. Although I'm apparently somewhat apt with the English Language. ninja

I refuse to accept math, javascript, and klingon as languages. I do hope I spelled klingon right, I've never really seen start trek.

There's one, which is generally the common definition, of a person who speaks many languages, and another definition which follows to those who study in the field of Linguistics.

cosmosco Chogyal what do you know about the energy reality theory? I know enough to be aware of the fact that I haven't a clue what the energy reality theory is. At the instant I hit the 'submit' button I realized that I had typically been hasty in my response and should have searched for 'energy reality theory' before I responded. Having done so, my initial response is to the 'energy' of which we are constituted. Six months after commencing my research (in 1983) I sent an article to several physics faculties regarding the anisotropic nature of light but, typically, received no (official) response. (I was delighted to receive a phone call from Julius Sumner-Miller - at that time 'on campus' at the University of Sydney - warmly congratulating me on my ideas and seeking permission to take my paper back to the States.) In 1991 I received a phone call from the Head of the School of Mathematics at a local university (Professor Simon J Prokhovnik) inviting me to discuss my ideas. During our discussion he handed me a copy of his article (published in Foundations of Physics). Upon reading same I mentioned that a major part of his idea had been contained in my 1983 submission however I pointed out that because I had sent it to their physics department he probably hadn't seen it. He hung his head and quietly mumbled "I might have." As I was leaving his office he stated that he did not believe that we would be able to travel at the speed of light on the basis of his opinion that we would, at that velocity, change into a form of energy. When I pointed out that we already consist of quantum packages of energy thus that we might transmute into a higher state of energy he became nonplussed. I am grossly ignorant of the subject of quantum theory however I understand that it postulates that light is a wave that is spread throughout the universe until such time as somebody looks at it at which stage it collapses into particles. Some people are apparently of the opinion that this conversion takes place even when somebody thinks the word 'light'. Perhaps, having attained light-speed, we and our ship become 'a wave' that is similarly spread throughout the entire universe until such time as 'somebody' (i.e. a 'section' of that wave) thinks the word 'Andromeda' at which instant we and our ship transmute into particles at that location. I'm not suggesting that this might actually take place but am simply musing on it and as Einstein stated "Imagination is more important than knowledge." It was, when he was 14, Einstein's daydreams about what it would be like to travel through space on a beam of light that was the catalyst for his theory.

That's great and all, but this one would prefer the condensed, simplified version of your thesis in normal diction. If you cannot do that, then you do not understand it well enough. Not that I didn't bother reading that post, I just would like clarification.

sieg777 That's great and all, but this one would prefer the condensed, simplified version of your thesis in normal diction. My thesis was not the purpose of my posting which was specifically the energy reality theory aspect of one of my experiences relating to same. It is somewhat presumptuous of you to expect me to provide you with a version of my thesis. Did you anticipate that I would jump to attention, click my heels together and salute? sieg777 If you cannot do that, then you do not understand it well enough. Your churlish and grossly erroneous assumption further negates a possibility of compliance with your demand.
