I'd like to add an exercise to this list, it is one that helped me a lot to control my energies and focus, it is a meditation/visualization to help you focus, it is to relax and help you fee confy lol
to begin focusing i always begin my meditations counting from 25 to 1 vizualizing the numbers. then once you have cleared your mind think of you favorite color, let that image flood your mind, then focus on you favorite food, vizualize where you would be most calm. Once you have cleared you mind you can begin the excercises with energy. One thing that i learned to do is to focus energy and move it around my body, not letting it go. Focus on feeling it, feel the energy moving, i dont know about you but i feel it as a sort of warmth that flows through me, thats how i know where its moving ina sense, whatever you feel, focus on that, then focus on letting it out of your body and feeling it around you, without letting it return to you, try to get it as far as you can while still feeling it, the more you do this the farther you can move it

I've been working on seeing energy and I've gotten to the point that when I'm NOT trying to see it, I see a glimps of it. it kind of looks like a bunch of little white speckles...but when I try to focus on it, it's gone. what do I do to capture and hold what I see when I'm NOT trying to see it, and be able to still see it when i AM trying to see it? because it always just disappears.

Whats happening is that your Sub-conscious is still focusing on the energy when you arent. And when you focus on it with your conscious mind it seems to vanish. You need to work on being able to use your conscious and sub-conscious in unison. Clear your mind while thinking with your sub-conscious. It is quite difficult at first but when you get it down its not so hard. And if anyone else has an exercise that will help with this your input would be greatly appreciated.

oohh...sorta like what sigil magic does, your conscious is controlled by the rational part of your brain and wont let anything irrational through. sigil magic works by confusing your rational mind and making something irrational seem rational so that the spell will work. so if i combined those ideas, i SHOULD be able to see energy both consciously and subconsciously...
