Wow, i just read my post and notticed how grief-strinken i was. My English began to melt away there... I apologize for criticisizing her, i had to take the anger out on someone. Now my voodoo doll will have to be of her husband... Until the crazy fan-girl pain wears off.
I still think they should change their name. Every album Nightwish released was part of a story. And all of a sudden a character just dissapears, and some other one is just... there. It's not the same story anymore. It's not even a sequel. It shouldn't have the same name.

It's okay, Motie, you're still cool. I see where you're coming from with the name change, but I don't totally agree. I mean, yes, Tarja is (was?) the voice of Nightwish, but she doesn't do much in way of writing the music, our good pal Tuomas does that. But hey, that's just me talkin'.

My opinion:
I am upset that Tarja just got the boot on this whole thing. Understood, she is comming off like the villian in this whole thing, but I would have hoped she would have enough... I dont know, to leave herself rather then get a letter posted all over the net saying "You are out". There have been alot of gaps growing between the band from what I've read. The main problem seems to be that Tarja is a classical singer at heart, and the rest of the band are metal players/singers. A wolf can not be friends with sheep. I was amazed once I first heard Nightwish how it managed to mix Opera with Metal, but deep down, I knew that it would be tough to keep going.
I cant say that I didnt see this comming, but at the same time, it blind-sided me. I always wondered what Nightwish would be like without Tarja, and now I guess we will find out. I will still by Nightwish's CDs, and if Tarja starts singing her own stuff, instead of pure classical, Ill still buy her CDs. I love the band as a whole (the way it was), and I wont just completely ignore one or the other.

It's very sad that Tarja have to leave because she's the face of the band and she have an amazing voice!! I'm afraid that a new singer will ruin it or something. Tarja 'belongs' to Nightwish. But Nightwish will survive. It's Tuomas who writes te songs and music and I he wants not that Nightwish is gona stop!
But on the other hand, if I read the letter It's better that Tarja leaves because she doesn't fit to the band anymore. She's to much a Diva etc.

Almost everyone was angered at Tarja including myself and talked badly about her though the only proof we have is that letter. We do not know if it is true or not.
Tarja has is a great singer, Tuomas, Emppu, Marco and Jukka are great artists. They just belong together...Even though we have to give the new singer (if there's gonna be one) a chance, we liked nightwish because of these people, the music that they made. If one person is missing, I'd hear that something is missing in the songs.

I have to say that I just flew over the posts here, but I just want to ask you a question: Have you already judged about Tarja before you ever heard a comment of her to all this? I just want to know.

I had a thought earlier. Nightwish has stated that they would be taking a year break once their tour was done. If this was Tarja's doing because she wanted to rest for a while, we could be getting a CD out sooner. Also, since they need to look for a new singer, it could push the new CD back. Its hard to say.

I did judge Tarja because I was angered and I regret it. It's not something you hear every day, that your fav is gonna lose their vocalist. We haven't heard anything from Tarja herself, I hope she'll tell her fans her side of the story.

Why everyone already talk about a new singer? That letter isn't officialy kicking Tarja out.They give her the choice,and like you should had seen it in the thread with her answer,all of this is a mistake.
