hmmm....i didnt actually think much about it when Sylar made the mom and Luke shut up...and to respond to Dr. Acula(love the Scrubs reference by the way) I actually am all for the Sylar Buddy-ness. even Phsyco serial killers need a friend and/ or protoge. Me and my sister were shrieking/ cheering when he rescued Luke. And seriously some of the scenes with them are reminscent of Obi wan and Luke(hahaha another Luke) Skywalker. that bit in the diner at least...i half expected Sylar to start talking about the force.... just my opinions anyway

Scribblet Vaneetra akageoffrey Vaneetra akageoffrey Vaneetra I was looking at some spoiler sites, and I heard that Daphne is definetally not dead, rebel is Eric Doyle, and Micah and Monica might come back within this season. My prediction is that Luke will die eventually, and probably in a dramatic way. I think that the person Clair found will have a large part, and then mabey die. Random note: Loved it when the radio in Sylar's car played the song Phyco Killer by the Talking Heads! I highly doubt Rebel is Doyle. I'm pretty sure Sylar killed him and took his power. If you watch the episode where Sylar first meets Luke, Sylar uses an ability to shut Luke's mom's mouth, and he uses the same motion as Doyle did when he shut Meredith's mouth. It could have been TK, but i think it was Doyle. The whole making the mouth shut part could have been his telekenetic ability. True, but if you watch the scene where Doyle does it, and then the one where Sylar does it, they are exactly the same. They even used the same sound effect. And it makes no sense that Doyle would be rebel in any case, considering that he was a villain and would have no reason to try and work together with others to stop this program. True, but it doesn't necessarily mean that Sylar killed him, because he did take Elle's ability without cutting her head open. If it was Doyle's power that he used, anyway. But in the end he decided he preferred chopping people's heads open and he'll always be a killer. So I reckon Doyle is dead ^_^ I think Doyle could be dead, but I don't think Sylar killed him. Yes, the last we saw him, he was fending off Sylar and eventually got knocked out, but I don't think Sylar had the time to slice off his head and peek at his brain. He could have just died in the Primatech fire. Besides, look back at Season 1, when we first saw Sylar. The detective chick was about to shoot him, but Sylar made her hand go up to her temple.

akageoffrey I agree with the Micah being Rebel thing, as well as Daphne coming back. I personally think Luke is Sylar's little brother, and they just don't know it yet i also agree. why else would they go bird-watching together...

I heard a really interesing theory today . . . maybe Rebel is Micah and Molly. That would make sense since whoever Micah is knows exactly where the Heroes are and can send them messages through technology.

I don't think Luke is Sylar's brother. I just think Luke was desperate for father figures sense his walked out on him, so he clung to Samson as a segregate father figure. Luke's clinging to Sylar in the same way, he wants him as father/brother figure because he wants a male role model.

I think that "Exposed" supposed the theory that Sylar's original ability was empathic mimicry, and he picked up intuitive aptitude from his father (who probably stole telekinesis the same way as Sylar did).
So Gabriel's power was the same as Peters: empathy, and he had it since he was a child. Like Peter he absorbed a parent’s ability, his father's intuitive aptitude. When he witnessed his mother's murder, the trauma caused Gabriel to lose his ability to feel empathy at all to some extent. Emotional trauma of this nature is known to do that to a person. Thus, he never used his empathy based ability to acquire anymore powers but relied on the first power he unknowingly acquired from his father: intuitive aptitude.
Further support for this theory is found in the fact the Shanti virus did not permanently remove his TK, because of the intense emotions he associated with acquiring that power. That links Sylar's power to emotions.
So if his power is based on empathy, emotions would play a part in acquiring powers, so powers acquired that are linked to emotional trauma became a permanent part of Sylar. Highly emotional events were associated with acquiring both intuitive aptitude, witnessing his mother's murder, and telekinesis, murdering his first victim. Because of the heightened emotional connection to those events, he retained both powers, along with his unused dormant original power, empathic mimicry.
Some might ask why Sylar's father and Sylar would behave in the same way, just by sharing intuitive aptitude?
The answer is, intuitive aptitude kind of drives you to kill. Peter killed his own brother in the future after acquiring Sylar's power; he was going off the deep end. Because intuitive aptitude seems to increase aggression, the whole hunger thing. So it's not that Sylar's father acts just like him, it's that his father's power causes anyone who absorbs it to act like that to some extent. To be driven to understand how things work, and to become powerful, the best by whatever means. So Samson was driven to steal powers, to be the best.
Intuitive aptitude itself may interfere with empathy, because it relies on reason so heavily that it may cause the part of the brain responsible for emotions to shut down to some extent. Like how Matt's powers make him vulnerable, you can only focus on one thing at a time. Which is why Sylar never discovered the power without help from Arthur and doesn't use it regularly.

By watching the last episode my beliefs are firm in the fact that Micha is Rebel. Who else could turn on a laptop without touching it?
