Sophie reluctantly accepted the envelope and coins. After closing the door behind the boy and pulling the “closed” sign down over the window, she scoffed at the small payment she received after such a skilled reading. Little bugger. All that skill wasted on such little payment. How can a woman eat on pickings like this? She placed her headdress on to her chair, covering the sun and moon embellishments. She placed her blue “seeing stone” into a small circular box and placed it on top of the one holding the Tarot cards. She took one last glance at the two coins before putting them in her purse and hurrying off to the manor. She was already late to her own dinner party. Bad form.

Sirelli had managed to get the cart down the street and to the restaurant with a heave and a hiss. By the time he managed to drag it around back his body was sore and his arms limp.

Pursing his lips Sirreli scooped up the piece of paper dreading the news that it could hold within.
Setting down the letter he swore bitterly and moved to a nearby dresser. He quickly began to gather what he could carry and quickly changed into a traveling cloak. He quickly strapped his preferred weapons to his side and with a steady hand carried what he could with him to streets.

When Sirelli made it to the street, there was an evelope on the back of the door. inside was a matchbook and a note that said "i have arranged transportation for you to leave. meet the one known only as Camel. he will guide you to safety. i'm taking a huge risk doing this, so if we both survive you are going to owe me." the matchbook was from one of the local taverns.

Sirelli quickly grabbed the matchbook and studied it for a few seconds before pocketing the object and making his way to into the streets trying to blend in.

The next morning Sophie followed the small boy she named Carlo to the peer. She waited for him to take her to the dock he remembered from the day before.

Here this is where i was found. that dock right over there. The kid pointed toward the third dock, the one that jutted farthest into the river.

Sophie went to the third dock, the one that Carlo had pointed to. She checked every long inch of planking. Once satisfied that she saw all there was up top she looked around the area. No one could see her like this. It would cause too much gossip. But, a job is a job. Taking a deep breath, and then releasing a heavy sigh, she hiked up her dress and jumped under the dock to where the child said he woke up. Maybe there was a clue down here as well. She carefully searched, ignoring the cold of the water and how drenched her clothes were getting. Words were here but now they arent

:: NARATOR HAT::
As Sophie was wading through the water she caught a glint from an object under the water. She then dove in to the frigid water to retrieve it. Upon surfacing she examined what appeared to be a small locked box with ornate ivory carvings and gold trim. the box had a visible seem but no visble way of opening it.

Sophie scanned the area, again making sure that no one caught her so disheveled. Once satisfied that no one was by the docks at this hour she dragged herself out of the water, the box tucked under her arm. She waved for Carlo to bring her cloak. Using the ribbon she keeps in her purse, Sophie fitted her cloak over her head to try to hide her identity, the ribbon tied around her neck to keep the hood up. She grabbed Carlo’s arm and dragged him behind her as she raced home, hoping no one would find her out. The box hidden safely under the drape of the cloak.
