Ack... The white bird avoided his shot again. This was not good. He looked around for another rock, picked up a good-looking one, loaded it into his sling, made sure it was nice and settled in there, and started his sling spinning. He watched as the white bird came towards him, then sent the rock flying straight towards it before backing up even farther this time.

Ow! Owowowowow! Another rock smacked the poor owl on the head. If only the owl had some method of attacking from afar. Alas, it had no such tactic, so it was forced to just keep on soaring towards the far-reaching foe.

Another hit. Good. Now if he could jsut keep this up... Yuki searched for another good rock and settled it into his sling. He set his sling twirling as he watched the owl get closer, and waited for the perfect moment before releasing the rock to go fly.

More ow! The owl was getting tired of being boinked on the head with rocks! It flapped harder to get up higher and started to weave in and out of the tree branches as it approached now. Soon, soon...

Oh dear, the white bird was chaging tactics. Yuki picked up another nice rock as he kept an eye on where the white bird was. He couldn't afford to lose it now. He settled the rock into his sling and started it twirling as he stood his ground. He waited until the white bird was below the branches... There! He launched the rock towards the white bird.

The owl promptly pulled up and vanished into the branches as another rock went skimming by below it. The foe hadn't moved! Time for payback. The owl touched off on a brnach to shove itself off it and went diving for its foe, claws and beak at the ready.

Ow! That hurt! Yuki promptly started batting at the white bird, tryiing to get it off him. He got out his dagger with his other wing and slashed at the white bird before retreating out of range.

The owl sqawked as it was batted away. It twisted in the air as it tried to reorient itself, managing to avoid getting slashed in the process. It finally worked itself out and shrieked when it saw the foe had run farther away again! How rude! The owl went up to land in a tree briefly befor launching off it and flying straight out towards the foe.

Yuki ignored his wounds for the moment as he searched for another rock. He'd deal with his ouches after the battle. He found a likely rock and scooped it up to settle into his sling. He started the sling spinning and watched the white bird come at him with determination. He watched the pattern for a moment before deciding he knew where the white bird would be next and sent the rock flying towards the white bird.

Again, the owl managed to neatly dodge the rock. Stupid foe. Didn't it know it had to restore its honer and take it on in a fair fight to be able to hit it? It glided ever closer, just waiting for another chance to take chunks out of this foe.

Or maybe not... Yuki backed up farther before searching for another rock. Maybe this was a white ghost bird? But he had hit it a few times, so maybe it turned solid sometimes? He found a nice heavy rock and loaded it into his sling, carefully getting it settled into place. Perhaps that was why finding white feathers was so tough! Ghost feathers couldn't be very easily gotten... He watched as the ghost bird floated towards him and he started his sling twirling. Now how to tell when it turned solid? He took a guess and launched the rock towards the ghost bird right when he thought it'd be solid.

Yuki watched as the ghost bird went down and didn't get back up. That's odd... he thought as he carefully approached it. Ghosts were already dead, so he couldn't have killed it. Maybe it was resting? He finally got close enough to check on the ghost bird. Well, he couldn't see the ground through it... He went to pick it up wand was surprised at how heavy it was. Ghosts were suppose to be light! Maybe it wasn't a ghost... But it was still hard to find! He checked it over carefully before taking it and any lost feathers over where he thought it had laired. Maybe there was a fortune's worth of white feathers!
