"Don't do that," He muttered softly. "First off you don't have to be so loud, it gets annoying that and your many questions." He paused shaking himself once again fixing his scarf a bit. "It doesn't matter what changed my mind, now lets go," Being basically tackled had put little Ying over the edge.

Roxy smiled a huge grin. "I don't mean to be loud, and I'm just naturally curious. So, I won't appologize for that. " She walked beside him, humming as they walked. Once she turned to him to ask a question. "Hey, why-" she cut herself off. She remembered he didn't like questions, so she continued humming cheerfully and walking along.

Other then the humming the silence between them seemed to become awkward as they continued to move around. After a while Ying finally spoke. "Um Roxy...have you been to the city before? Or is this your first time as well?" he questioned her softly.

"First time. I've wanted to go for so long though. My parents and friends have told me so many things about it, that it intrigued me. One day, while on a walk, I suddenly got the urge to go to the city, and here I am." She gave a little skip and kept up with Ying. "Why are you going?" She asked slowly, hoping her question wouldn't bug him.

"I don't know," He admitted. "I suppose its just like you I heard stories of it and decided that I should go one day. Few times I tried but chickened out at the end. I am just a coward after all,"

"Aww, don't say that. You were brave enough to venture this far." Roxy gave him a big smile. "I can't wait to get there. I hope to make lots of friends and meet new interesting Nikkus. I love to make friends, as you can probably tell." She chuckled at that last statement.
They walked along a little while longer in silence. Suddenly Roxy had an idea. "Hey Ying. Why don't you try to fly?" she suggested excitedly.

He wasn't going to tell her that he usually does get this far and always tends to decide to turn back once the city was in view. "Yes I can...I just want to look around." Meeting new friends and other Nikku's wasn't really on his to-do list. "I don't know how," He admitted his little wings shifting on his back. "Besides flying involves heights, which I will tend to stay away from." Yeah he was afraid of heights as wel

"Oh," she replied. "Okay then." She smiled and kept walking. Looking around, she noticed that the landscape was the same. Flowers and grassland, with the forest behind them. Insects were flying about and the smells from the flowers tickled her nose.
After a few more minutes of walking in silence, Roxy couldn't take the quiet any longer. "Do you have many friends back home?" she asked him, calmly and in a quieter voice than she would normally use.

"I don't have any, I like my space and solitude," He replied, "What about you, how many friends do you have back home?" he questioned.

"I'm sorry you don't have any friends." Roxy couldn't imagine what that would be like. "I have lots of friends. The more friends the better, I think. I love meeting new and interesting Nikkus. You are very interesting by the way." She smiled at him as they kept walking.
Up ahead she could see that the field ended and turned to stone paths. The city wasn't very far from here.

"I like keeping to myself," He replied back in a half whisper. His face soon grew a bit pink at her little statement. "Uh..Thanks," He muttered not really knowing what else to say. Still he had to admit that he had become very comfortable around Roxy, that and the conversation was enjoyable.

She was glad that he was talking to her more, and had accepted her compliment. That was a good sign. Maybe she could help him out of his shell? She smiled at him again and started humming again.
They had walked to the end of the field and the stone path had began. A few yards ahead there was a three way split in the path. One to the left, one straight ahead and one to the right. "Which way should we go?" she asked him.

Ying stopped behind her thinking for a bit on the paths. He really wanted to find one that was less travel, that way it would mean they wouldn't bump into many others. "Um," he muttered still observing the roads looking for the most wear to stay away from it. "The right one," He replied hoping he had got it right.

"Ok!" she said excitedly, and skipped down the path, hoping he would follow. "I hope to meet some interesting Nikkus on this visit to the city. I know you're kind of shy, and probably don't want to meet anyone else, but I'll try not to attract too much attention towards you." She looked back to see if he was following.

He followed in silence, to her comment he just nodded. He wondered how many others they would run into. Hopefully not a lot.
