Orthodox Marxism is indistiguishable from trotskyism, because that is what it is.
My comment about rational transhumanism was an attack on your odd way of expressing your understanding of transhumanism. Or maybe it isn't odd, and I just can't understand what you are saying about it. Which is likely, as I generally have a hard time getting my head around any sentence you or Hawkings make.
Again: when is the next elections oh current encumbent?

Trashumanism without the humanism for humanism is a bourgeoisie concept. Elections are normally conducted during the summer traditionally tho I do believe you can call elections just need a vote.

I dunno that we have enough activity for an election at the moment. It'd be rather limited.

At least, could someone with the authority to do so send out a mass pm yelling at people to get their arses back in here? If we could get them here for a bit, make a little buzz on the idea of an election or something, we could at least have a little activity. I really can't stand EDP, and most other guilds I am in are dead, or have been dead since shortly after I left last year... Most people are busy IRL, so it probably wouldn't matter (one massive benefit of not doing Uni: no ******** up study eating my life, real or fake).

Yeah... elections are pretty much whenever the guild calls for them. There used to be more rigid guidelines than that, but they changed when we started getting less active.

Weeeeeeeell, I recon we should send a mass pm out, telling everyone to get the ******** active here, and then with the remnants of that activity after one month, we should call elections.

Have they changed the system at all while I've been gone to allow for mass PMs, or should I try to set aside some time to send them all out individually?

I thought it was always an option? If it isn't possible, I would volunteer to send some out.
How many members do we have? (we must cull non-active accounts, and non-active guilders as well. If someone comes on a lot, but hasn't been here for the last two months, they should be kicked, but I think that is something to be done a little later.) Divide that between myself, Mere, Tank, Hawkings, Kage, and we should have a managable amount, though we should agree to a standardised message if we do end up doing this.

There are around 600-some members, as of last time I checked. There's no mass-PM option for crew, or wasn't last time I had to do this with a different guild... and there's a restriction on sending too many PMs within a certain amount of time. It might only be 30 seconds or so, but last time I had to do this for a guild, we did have multiple people working on it.
I'd say no kicking people, but at the same time, an attempt should be made to get people back in here and talking again. I mean, we've all gone through big periods of inactivity, so no point in kicking needlessly... besides, we're not Stalin.

Again, about the kicking people, I think that is a discussion that is better held around election time, but I do think it would be useful to point out a few small things: We are not Stalin. As such, people kiced for inactivity can apply for membership once again. Anyone that is not active in the guild, but is active elsewhere in the site is saying that they don't care about the guild. Most other guilds have a policy of kicking non-posters, so I think it isn't out of place. We have gone through big periods of inactivity, but I know I have had irregular contact with you, and you have an amount of contact with other members. For the people that have been away for more than two years (accountwise, not guildwise), we should send them a PM, or if available, an email, asking them to get in contact with us if they wish their account to remain a member. That will require a huge amount of work, which is why I recomend the discussion propper be held during the election, so that the election itself may serve as a referendum on the question, and we can then have the admin/cc/whatever vote and organise a correspondance committee.
I have spoken and saved my soul.

There are two join requests. Someone with more authority than me let them in.
