"I'm a b-bit t-tired..." Riv closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. She then glanced at the two, smiling slightly. "I'd like to watch, though."
The scavenger grinned as she managed to get the words out properly. It seemed she was making some progress. After all, she told herself, if she couldn't stand to be around two pidge, one of whom she trusts, then she might well be a hopeless case.

Chorus Line sent a sideways look over to Harvey and found that he seemingly liked being closer to her. Her tiny heart started to beat a little bit quicker than it normally did. Really! Was this anyway to react with River right there? Chorus did a mental head shake and then focused on what she was supposed to be doing. She'd promised to help him learn to dance and by jorge! she would!
"Then lets get started, shall we?" Chorus cooed. "If you want to you can take a nap River, I believe we'll be at this for quite some time."

"Yep! Chorus's got some work cut out for her! I'm horrible!" Harvey was grinning as he glanced towards Chorus Line. "Right piece of work I am! Hopefully I won't wake the whole roost from here, eh?"
"So, I'm ready when you are." He waved a wing as he stepped back from Chorus and struck a rather silly pose, with both wings outstretched in almost a bow.

Chorus' grin opened spread in what could be taken as a smile as she bent her legs with her wings almost touching her sides, as if in a curtsey. "I doubt you'll be as bad as you let on. In fact, we're going to start easy with the Pidge Salsa dance. You'll want to step forward with your left foot and then step back." Chorus demonstrated how to do so, then showed him the next step. "Followed by stepping back again with the left foot. Next, you'll want to make a half step back with the right foot."

Riv settled down in her little corner to rest, tucking herself under the bit of cloth she'd found the other day to watch.

"Sooo..." He glanced down at his paws and stepped forward on his left paw, but was hesitant about it. He stepped back almost shakily, as Chorus Line had instructed.
"Like that?" He asked as he stepped back on his right foot.

"Yes, dear. You're doing just fine!" She cooed at him. "It's a very simple dance that is all about repetition. Once you get these steps down, you'll be a master!"

"Hohoho, I bet it'd take me forever to be a master. I could never catch up with you!" He replied as he repeated the simple steps to the salsa. Step up, step back, step with the right. He mentally gave himself the instructions over and over again...
Singing and story telling was always so much easier!

"Nonsense! I only got to the level I am now because of constant practice! And once you have this step down pact we'll start a new one!" Chorus cooed, going into the female counterpart of the pidge salsa.

He couldn't help but to fluff out his feathers comfortably as Chorus began the counterpart steps. She was so lovely! His heart wanted to sing and proclaim this new and strange feeling to the world as loudly as possible, but his beak remained firmly closed. Still, a rather cheery smile spread across his features...
And as his heart and mind quickly began to think of the female he was so enchanted by, his feet quit listening. Not much of a multitasker, apparently. One paw caught behind the other and his wings splayed out as he fell on his rump.

Chorus let out a little cry of worry when she watched him fall. Stopping her dancing she hopped over to Harvey as fast as she could, exclaiming "Are you alright? Please tell me you're okay. . ." She brought her two wings together worriedly. "If you're not okay I don't know what I'd do. . ."

He was far from hurt. Sure, his rump stung a little bit, but he was grinning sheepishly and laughing. It was all more out of embarassment, rather than he finding it funny, but shrugging something off was what he had always done, even if he really was hurt.
"I'm fine! I'm fine! Nothing to worry about!" He exclaimed as he shakily got to his paws. To see her worried made him feel sort of bad. He wasn't used to being the source of one's worry at all.
"See? Nothing broken!" He stretched out both legs and both wings to show her that he wasn'y lying.

"Oh! I'm ever so glad!" Chorus bent and lent Harvey a wing, "I do hope that you won't mind my worry. B-but you see. . ." Chorus looked worriedly over at River and debated saying it outloud with her there. Then decided what the heck. Maybe she should try to be a little more like her brother and just let things out. "I l-love you."

"I'd take a little more than two left paws to hurt me badly." He chuckled as he accepted Chorus Line's wing in an offer to help him up. The worried expression that she wore did little help but to make him fear something was wrong.
Had he sprouted a third eye or paw to make her look so worried and nervous? She still liked him, right?
"I l-love you."
The moment those words slipped from her beak, he felt his heart melt and all those brief worries wash away from his feathers.
"I love you, too, Chorus..."

Chorus Line blushed and was glad he couldn't see. When her heart had finally quit beating so hard and fast she admitted, "I think I knew from that first minute. After my performance. But I just didn't know what the feeling was." She stared deep into his black eyes as she let her feelings take her over.
It was quite liberating, letting your emotions show. Maybe her brother wasn't quite the flamboyant person after all. West Side Story lived by his emotions, so maybe she could too?
