Dedris came upon what most creatures called an Oasis, since there wasn't any water for thousands of miles small patches of grass with possibly a puddle or more of water, and insects that didn't look fully natural, although they obviously were since nothing synthetic would have survived out here. He looked over at what seemed to him as a hill, hearing slight steps, but once again tried to ignore them as he laid in the patch of grass, enjoying the only life for miles, watching the small bugs crawl around on the small plants, he was extremely tempted to eat one, but he pondered if they were poisonous or not.

He yelped in a slight pain after he felt a pinch, apparently one of the bugs had bitten him, and he ran off from the patch of grass. It appeared that even in the natural areas there is some danger, he didn't want to get eaten alive where he thought he was safe, maybe nodding off while the bugs find him as their feast. He stood up on a dead rock where he could see a valley, vast but only had few patches of actual life, and birds out in the distance fluttering around in the tendrils of smoke. He caught the scent of blood, mixture of his and something else's, he looked back where he heard sounds but couldn't see much but rocks and dead earth, and looked back at the valley in slight amazement.

Once again, Dedris heard steps out in the distance, more than hes heard in awhile, he decided he would check it out, but avoid the patches of grass in case the bugs could fly, the idea made him uneasy but he kept on toward the hill. Getting a heavier scent of blood and started a climb up the hill, but slowed his movements just in case whatever he was chasing was dangerous.

The scent of blood seemed to fade, maybe it was drying in the intense sunlight, but being in it so long he was used to it beating down on him all of the time, and lately he hadn't noticed it was so bright after the apocalypse, as some call it. He got closer to the top of the hill and heard footsteps, looking down at the bottom he saw a figure at the bottom of a hill, it wasn't large so it couldn't be too dangerous, it seemed like it was chasing something.

Dedris looked down, hearing the faint voice probably of what he was looking at, and carelessly moved closer to the figure, sliding down the dead stone hill, and noticed the figure was actually a dog, and a female. He got close enough that if the dog understood him, she would hear him. "Hello?" He asked, not knowing what else to say, being that he hasn't conversed with anything for a long time.

He stood still, not expecting anything but being careful, and looked over at this strange dog and laughed. "I'm Dedris." He said, "You?" And looked over at the dog peering over the rock she thought was talking to, thinking some things might get really lonely out in this new dead wasteland.

He seemed slightly confused, he's never seen anyone act this way, but once again he tried not to expect anything, at best he should try and befriend this Kiva he's just met, it is no fun being alone through this desert valley of death. "Nice to meet you too Kiva." He looked down at the trail of blood leading to her. "You alright?" He asked, seeming slightly concerned.
