The Akita's mysterious brown eyes surveyed the wintry landscape, his nose working out the many aromas that blew through the wood. That of wildlife and pine trees, his confined spirit pushed against his chest, longing run full out, bounding through the piles of snow. Tearing his thoughts away from this dreams, Phex turned as Neylie spoke. He nodded politely as she offered her information, then asked Flecia, "How long has-" Phex paused his mind-gears working to remember the name of the pup that was lost. "Amphion- How long has he been missing?"
A nigh silent whisper caused Phex's ear to swivel back where the longhair was standing. He stepped backward, slightly, his head closer to hers as she commented on his poorly covered up feelings toward freedom. After hearing what Neylie had to say he longed to talk more about it with her, but didn't want to be rude by having a private conversation in front of Flecia. And the deeper reason was that he didn't want to be uncovered by the collie, to admit he was wrong again. Phex shook his fur uncomfortably the whispered quietly back, "I have a feeling that you are quite right." He looked at the female serenely, then sat down looking straight ahead. Lost in his thoughts, the Akita was trying to decipher if it was right for him to leave, though he felt that he would even if it wasn't the right thing to do.

Neylie nodded at Phex. "You wouldn't have to leave forever. I used to live with housefolk at the base of the mountain, but I couldn't stand being confined. One day I ran off, and didn't come back for a while. I did eventually, but not to stay. They'd left food bowls out for me. So now I only go back to eat. You could always come back."

Flecia smirked at them as they were giving advice. "Ive checked all the trees in the north part of the forest. He shouldnt be in the south cause hes frightened in the-" she couldnt really say the words she was going to say so she justsaid another ridiculous word. "-scary parts of the woods." As she heard the two talking about owners she had a flashback. Her eyes began teary and worse then ever. "Can we please stop talking about owners, its just to painful!" She grunted and laid down her head on her paws and sobbed. I cant just sit here i need to find Amphion. Flecia looked around for the little pup not moving from the backyard. Amphion! where are you? she began to lose hope.

Phex nodded gravely, his indecisiveness that was accumulating was almost too much for him. He had never felt so torn or moody before in his life. Taking a breath, he then exhaled, the carbon dioxide could be seen swirling out of his nostrils into the air around them.
Flecia began to speak so the hybrid turned to her, emptying his mind and focusing only on her words and their meaning. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." He said frowning, then asked, "Why not the south part of the woods?" Hearing a sudden noise Phex turned to it. It was Auren, he quickly, with forced tenderness said to the females, "Go look for Amphion! I'll help you as soon as I can. Now go quickly!" Crawling through the hole he pushed snow into it and acted as though he had been romping around the whole time. "Phex! Come here, please!" Auren called. With a playful expression he ran to her. She was holding something behind her back and Phex was knew that it was favorable whatever it was. He sniffed the air, It's a rawhide. he thought. And pressed. He licked his chops, but was the least bit interested. "Now, I'm sure the fence is secure having checked it a few days ago and I just gave him a bone... and I'll only be gone for a half hour or so. If the snow isn't too bad." Auren said to herself, then smiled, confident in herself and commanded Phex to sit, then to lie down, roll over, and bow before handing the bone over. She petted him lovingly and left.
Laying down, Phex began to gnaw the tasteless (to him anyway) treat before he was sure that she had left. Paws giving a steady rhythm in the snow the husky mix was soon to the hole and out in no idea. He lifted his black nose to the air and inhaled deeply before announcing his return.

Flecia walked over to a small tree and knocked down some snow. She helped cover the hole and laughed as some fell on her head. "Well, its more dangerous. Theres the packs whos Alpha's are not usually nice." She wimpered at the thought of Amphion even being near there. Her eyes shown in the sun and she blinked hard. "umm ok", she spotted him through the fence with his owner probably. She smirked at how fun she was and how much she loved Phex. A frown showed on her face as she compared her old owner to his owner. After a second, she smelled something delicious smelling. Once she saw what it was she just wanted to run in and grab it. But, you never know which owners have guns. After Flecia saw the owner tred through the door she looked up at him and then scooted back. She ran and jumped up on the fence about to fall, not wanting to leave claw marks. She got over the fence and looked at him smiling. "Looks big enough to share," she said that pretty much giving him a hint.

Neylie hid behind a small bush, not really wanrting to crawl back under the fence. He does enjoy his owners company, but his dissatisfied. He's just putting up the act to please his housefolk. He'd do well on the outside. When the human left, Neylie abadnoned her hiding place and rejoined the other two. " If there's a pup lose in the wilderness, why are you sitting here begging for a bite of rawhide?" A scowl crept across her face. "If you're so worried, you should be on the other side, begging for assistance in finding him."

"It is." the male replied simply stepping away from the bone. "But, you can have the whole thing." His dark eyes clamped on to Neylie's yellow ones. "I only waited until Auren left." he said in a cold and controlled voice. "Let's go then. I only have a half an hour at least." His sharp claws quickly reduced the mound of snow to where he could easily crawl through. Phex stood outside the hole waiting for the two females in a statuesque stance, his expression grim. When they filed out he took the rear, since he did not know the wood as they did. Looking up at the sun, Phex figured it was about three in the afternoon and knew that if they didn't find the pup soon it would get dark and Amphion would be alone that night.

Neylie wriggled through the whole after Phex. " Wasn't speaking to you a moment ago. I meant Felica." She didn't want to upset him. He was the first new male she'd come across in a while, and she didn't want to ruin any possibilities avilable.

"Oh, sorry. I seem to take things wrong frequently." He paused looking at Neylie then gave her an apologetic smile. "But, we still must get going. Lead the way ladies. Oh, Flecia. You can have the bone, I'll leave it outside the fence. Auren would expect it to be gone anyway and I would not want to arouse suspicion." {{OOC: Lame post... sorry. D: }}

Neylie felt her cheeks grow a bit warm. Phex's smile was quite charming. "Not a problem at all."

After a moment of silence between the two, Phex spoke, "Well, I think, now that I'm out of my "bondage", the next thing would be to run farther away, right? So as not to be found?" He looked at Neylie, wondered why he hadn't specifically noticed those gorgeous green eyes of hers. Noting suddenly that he may have been staring he suggested, "Maybe you can tell me a bit more about yourself as we travel. At least I was thinking we could go together, since I really have no idea what I'm doing." A laugh erupted from deep in Phex's chest as though he hadn't laughed for a long time. It was actually a rather pleasant sound, deep and clear. His dark eyes seemed to be alight with life and fire and a smile shown on his face. That smile was becoming more common place since he had met Neylie.

Neylie gave a light-hearted giggle, that genlty eveaporated as Phex's gaze held hers. "So you do plan on leaving then? On living out in the forest?" She dipped her head a bit and stared at the ground. "With me?" She smiled at the sound of his laugh, a comforting noise. "Well then, I'd certianly enjoy having your company! I suppose you could stay with me in my little den. It may be a bit snug, but what better way to beat the cold right?"

"Well, yeah. I mean I haven't got much with Lisbeth. I think that the forest suits me, don't you?" Phex pointed his muzzle in the air, the snow was falling hard. Perfect weather to run away, it would cover their prints in no time at all. "Only if you let me." he barked happily, dashing off a bit, then looking back at Neylie, tail wagging fiercely. His eyes held a playful message, "Catch me... if you can."

At his first sign of movement, Neylie had torn off after Phex. She pounced on his back, nibbling his ear playfully. The snow added a touch of... Affection to the scene. " You'll fit in just fine." Neylie whispered in his ear, smiling.

Rolling over on his back, Phex looked at Neylie and said, "You're quite a lithe creature. How long have been living out here in these woods? Seems like forever, or like you were born out here. Your instincts are superb." A look of respect for her shown on the Akita's face. For a moment he watched her, once again blown away by the eloquence of Neylie's character. She was so... so amazing, a natural at everything she did. Although, he thought, Her coat isn't so natural. A strange feeling came over him suddenly and he restrained from licking her nose. So he tilted his head back and relaxed in the cool snow, silently contemplating his new, yet pleasant feelings.
