EbilKitty Waaah... Does anyone know if there's a way to get rid of the darn ads on Neo with IE? I suddenly got slightly hooked again so I've been spending the past couple of days catching up on avatars, refreshing for battledome challengers and whatnot whee But the ads are killing me gonk Sometimes they take half the screen and they make everything load super slowly... I figured out how to lose them in Firefox, but IE is still giving me grief...
For Internet Explorer users
1. Open up a blank Notepad document (not a Word document).
2. Copy and paste the following into the blank document:
div.ban,div#ban {display: none !important;}
div#bottomban {display: none !important; visibility:hidden;}
3. Save the document with any name, as long as you put a .css after it.
4. In your browser, go to Internet Options from the Tools menu.
5. Click the Accessibility button.
6. Check the checkbox that says "Format documents using style sheet"
7. Click Browse and search for the .css file you just saved.
8. Press OK to everything and voila!!

Brbidll Sorry, can't help that one. I pay for premium, so I have no ads. If you'd like to try that I could send you an invite for it. Give it a shot if you like...
All I need is a neo id to send it to. I already got an invite, but thank you so much for offering whee I decided to sign up, so now I'm a premium-er too xd heart

fawN referred me for premium, i'm unsure about whether to try it or not confused
i don't spend that much time on Neo now so i don't know if it's worth it, of course i'd like to do the free trial, but i don't know how easy it is to cancel if i think i'd be wasting my money.
i know that Bippy has had the devil's own job cancelling hers so i'm a bit wary.

I love my premium. I love the fact that I don't have the ads anymore (which is more than enough for me). I use the webmail quite often and I use the portal and super shop wiz quite often as well. I have gotten some good deals that way.

I miss my premium. sad I cancelled it when Martin lost his job. I didn't have any problems with cancelling it, thank goodness cause I don't think I could have handled any problems at that time. We have been job searching for him. I am hoping that we can find something. If we ever get back on our feet, I will get it again. But until then I will just have to cruise neo the regular way. wink

I sure hope Martin find a good job soon so you guys can return to normalcy! heart
The ad-free surfing and the super wiz are what really drew me in. And Jason said "See if they have a discount if you sign up for a whole year at once" and I did the math, and you save almost $26 that way. It comes to a little over a dime a day for a year of premium, it says. (I don't know how that translates to pounds.) But gosh.. a dime a day? I'm thinking of all the times we use a quarter here or a quarter there when we come across a gumball machine and Jade is with us... And I sure appreciate this more than Jade's gum! blaugh
And yes, it should be easy with paypal. That's what we're doing, and it keeps your information for the next billing period.

I also love being premium! I've been with them from the beginning. I only pay $5.99 a month. They take it automatically and I get 1000 nps each month when they do so. Plus I enjoy the space faerie scratcher every Friday. Even though I've yet to get anything good from them. Not to mention the extra SHH events. That's how I got my white yurble plushie. More than a few people have wanted to get that off of me...lol

Someone from the neo couch has won the scratchcard jackpot from one of the space faerie scratchcards. I'll leave it up to another to say who it is, if she wants. I wasn't sure if she minds people knowing or not.
So far from my first space faerie scratchcard, I won 2000 nps. I've had two Something Has Happened mails, one where I won 500 nps, and another where I won 700 nps and a stamp. Was it one of those that gave you your plushie, nibbs?

Oh, I should post this here, as it's related.. I'm suspecting that your pets can't go below content in mood even when they're sick, so that would save premium members from the dreaded random events of having their pet turn red or blue! I've had a sick lab rat twice now, and even after visiting quick ref a number of times, it never went below content.
Rue also says the more you use your portal and webmail, the more of a chance you get at SHH events.

Rue is right. I check my portal more than often. I got the yurble in a SHH neo-webmail event. It came with a lottery win of 1500 plus a rare item. Of course the item was the plushie. I have gotten several good items from those kind of events. Plus several that are just the neopoints. Another thing with the portal, you can check on your pets without having to go to that page with all of them on. I remember somewhere that if you do that when they are sick that their moods go down 2x's as fast. But through the portal it doesn't affect them the same way.
All of this plus the fact you can check the guild messages through the portal (safe way on FFF's), or find friends that are not stealth, check neomail, and play beta games.
But I must add, if anyone is considering premium that has not gotten an invite, please consider me for it. I dearly want the space faerie charm for my lookup. I have only gotten one person to sign up.

Yeah, visiting quick ref used to make your pet's mood go down very quickly if they were sick. It only took like 2 refreshes. Now even through quick ref, their mood doesn't seem to go down. Pretty cool.

Pretty cool. if you look on your portal....at the top...you will see where it says referals if i remember there are 2 different links....one to see how many people you have refered and the other goes to the page that explains what prize is for each referal... if i remember right it goes like this 1 referal- codestone horde and nps 2 referals- space faerie charm 3 referals- random paintbrush 4 referals- space faerie avi 5 referals- space faerie look up and there are a few others after that...something like little combos or such.... i had just refered someone and they signed up about 3 days before i had to give up my premium.....i bet that if i ever go back that i wont have it and will have to start over again....and it is so hard to find someone who wants to be premium cause since the release of it everyone has it....i would at least like to get to the avi..the lookup would be nice of course...lol....when i do get to go back i will have to call and ask them about it..... wink
