Oh, hunny, I'm so sorry. *hug* I hope things get better...
*hugs back* Thanks, it means alot that I have some people to talk to, well, it always does. And I don't think things can get worse than the way it is right now, therefore it can only get better, the only problem is when.. time itself.

You guys make me wanna come out to my parents -.-
My mom would be just fine I bet, considering she has a gay brother and lives in a gay community, but my dad is against anything gay, even if it's just slightly gay(when I asked him if I could dye my hair a couple years ago he asked if I was gay, then he said not 'til I'm 18 )... And sadly he's the one I live with.
(I'm moving out next summer hopefully though, away from my dad, closer to my mom)

Sorry! Don't feel you have to conform to our situations of telling parents. If you feel that you are absolutely ready and capable, thats possibly the best time to tell your parents. I also suggest what Vague suggested to me, PFLAG!

fiancee.

It's fiancé, for a male. Unless you're engaged to a gurl, then she's your fiancée xp

Now she is in denial, and plans on entering me into the military when I finish high school. Which should be very interesting...

As for me, I've been out since I was 16, and I'm so glad I am, though it came about badly. I've known since I was 14, and it only even took me that long to accept it because others had teased me about it in Elementary and I didn't want them to be right. 2 years later, I came out to my mother in a fight. Not a good way to do it, but I was desperate. My grades were slipping, and she was going to take away the internet. I blurted out that I was gay and needed the support network. She made me tell me father, because she didn't like keeping secrets from him. He just smiled with tears in his eyes and said he was happy I felt I could share with him. They've both been extremely supportive, and I knew they would be, since they've always had some gay friends.
Right after that, I came out at school. It was easy, because I had just transferred to public( not enough Music/Theatre funding at my private school) and didn't have a history or reputation to maintain. Nobody ever messed with me, I think because they were a little frightened of me. blaugh The only time some jerk said anything, I didn't have to retaliate at all because all the girls in the room started yelling at him. When guys freaked out, I would just say "Don't worry, I won't hit on you. I've got taste." xp and that shut them up.
I like being out, I wear a pride necklace everywhere. It's easier and more fulfilling. But my one problem is how many people still think I'm str8. sad
It's so annoying when they ask if you have a girlfriend, or hit on you and they're the wrong gender. One girl even tried to flirt by saying she liked my necklace, oy!

Yes, that is very annoying sweatdrop Only luckily I don't get hit on. It's only my parents saying stuff relating to me having to be straight.

i came out to my father and stepmother... they didn't believe me.
"No, who did you REALLY get that hickey from?"
but i think i was probably out among my friend before i ever even told them. "Gitsy, get over it, you're gay. i don't mind, but you have to accept it!" then i realised oh yeah... i like dem boys!

I was, maybe 15, 16.. I honestly don't remember. Only one friend knows, she is more like my sister, though, so it was just natural. She is cool with it, but at first she kept laughing. It was unnerving at first. ("Why are you laughing...? Come on, shut up!")

But, this is the complicated part, which I look back at, and think I was really stupid..

I had told my friend, and didn't really keep anything from her, from that point on. But, one day, she was online, and I had said something about it, and it just so happen her mother was in the room. She acted how I expected her too. "You should tell your parents right away." Right, as if it's that easy to tell a Southern Baptist family you're gay. . . Well, the next day, she stoped my mother in the parking lot of school, and *lied* to her about it. She said I was gay, and that I was planning on moving away with some guy named Cody, and that they would never see me again. I was floored, I had no ******** idea what she thought lieing would accomplish. Well, needless to say, I don't trust her anymore..

The only thing is, I'm really *really* close to my mother. She is one of, if not my best friend, so, when she started to ignore me, and act like I wasn't even alive, I went into a blind panic. I missed several days of school, and finnaly, one day, after she came home from work, I told her I wasn't gay anymore. She said why, and I said I read the bible. It was a completly cowardly thing to do, but, as I said, I was in a blind panic. Oddly enough, not 3 minutes later, things were back to normal. For that reason, I think she knows I still am, she just doesn't want to know. They are both Homophobic, so I doubt I'll ever come out.. (again..) But I regret ever "going back in". It was the worst thing I've ever done. Though, I would be shocked if they both haven't heard things "through the grape vine", because several people I knew in school have made comments to me about it, without really out right saying it. (Thankfully nothing bad, yet.)

And, also, when I look back at my childhood, I think it is glaringly obvious. I never really acted "like a boy". I hated cars, and army men, etc etc. I would have much rather had a barbie, and her dream house. Which sounds massivly gay, but it's true. ^^;;

I came out to my friends when I was around 14 or 15, can't really remember. I haven't technically told my mother, but she has the general hint. Well, I think she would when I went to a guy's house, stayed over night, and came home with marks on my neck. Now she is in denial, and plans on entering me into the military when I finish high school. Which should be very interesting...

*sings* In the Navy!

I came out my Freshman year. My mom asked me and I said "Yes." and then she gave me "The Talk" about sex xd I told her I knew all of that already and she seemed put out by that. *snorks* My dad was like "So? What do you want? A parade?"

Where do you live?

Virginia Beach, VA (go figure). I live like 10 miles from the NAS (Naval Air Station). And Virginia Beach is right next to Norfolk, which is a huge military place.

I'm out to the point where when people ask me, I usually don't deny it, Unless I feel threatened. My parents don't know, well, that I know of, and My friends, all of them know.

For me, It started when I was in grade 10, I told one of my close friends, and that was a mistake, the word of it got around the school quite quickly, I got so scared. At first I thought that I was bi. For most of grade 11 as well, I passed around considering myself bi. The whole deal of people talking about it, it wasn't such a big deal by then luckily, though that year was a bit hard for me, My school is one of the worst in the city for Gay/Bi people to open up in, it is 65% Brown (No racism intended) people, Muslim and hindi, people who generally aren't liking of boy sex, and then there is a large portion of christians as well, some, think people are allowed to make their own choices in life and "If they want to go to hell let them" Now I don't believe in hell so...

Anyways, It's kind of taken me 3 years to be mainly comfortable with my sexuality, and Unlike many others that have come out, I have not had many relationships, 2 girlfriends, 1 boyfriend... But I know for a fact now, that when I am with a guy, I'm truly happy, no doubt about it.

I began the arduous process at age 16. By age 18, I was completely out, even to my parents. Everyone seemed to take it okay. My mother cried a bit, but she's resolved to deny it to herself. Every time I remind her, it's like I'm opening a sore wound, but I refuse to let her forget something that's so important to me.

Isn't it though? I suppose if I wanted to be nice, I could always pretend to be something I'm not for the rest of my life. I think everyone here would be a lot nicer if we actively sought to be unhappy by pleasing everyone else's delicacies.

My mother is okay, however. She's come to the point where, any time it's mentioned, she lets me know that she only worries I'll do something that will get me in trouble. I love her, but she needs to accept me completely if she wants to have anything to do with my life. I don't think this is a unique or extensive thing for me to expect.

I understand where JoVo is coming from, mainly because my parents right now are denying the whole thing and are trying to isolate me from everything. And inside I've just given up on them, since its my own life from now on, not theirs. At least I've let them know.

I've only come out to my little brother and my mom, and I think it was last year. At the same time my brother told me he likes guys to.. and a bit more information about an experience with his best friend I didn't need to hear whee

My mom said she has no problem with it, she says its cool that I like both but she would never even THINK of sleeping with a girl sweatdrop

I asked her if I payed her $50k if she would she was still like NOPENOPENOPE! xd

I would never tell my dad tho, he tries so hard to push me into the christian religion, and I tell him that I am one, but actually I just dont believe in it, but he said he wouldnt hate me. It was one of those things with the whole "I wont be mad, just disappointed" things. And when it's that, it's definately a 'dont tell him'. sweatdrop
