Endo-san smiled and beckoned her to come closer "well Akiyama Lucya I am very proud and honored to say yes to your offer" Endoh-san wrote notes on some parchment. "What types of meals would you prefer or would you just like to have the orders made on the day? I will have menus ready for you as soon as I possibly can" Endoh-san stated.
Endoh passed her a couple of samples of the menus and watched Akiyama Lucya read them carefully. "These are only samples at the moment but it will give you an idea of what is on offer for orders, it will be very similar to these once they have been properly drawn up" Endo-san smiled.
Endoh looked at her "well I can also make specials for you as you are local" she said as she continued to write notes down. Her delicate hand moved fast as she wrote.

Looking carefully through the menu samples offered, Lucya was slightly nodding in approval. Then she looked up to Endoh-san again and said, - "This looks very nice. I'm not sure if I'll prefer daily orders or ordering for a week or month. I believe, weekly orders would suit best. I will be sending my maid here with an order for the next week menu. Specials would be very nice of you too", - she bowed. - "Now, let me excuse myself. I must be going back to okiya. Sayonara, Endoh-san".
Lucya bowed again before going to front door and putting on her zori. When she left the food house, sun has already began its way down.
"Ahhh... So much time has passed", - Lucya wondered and made her way back to Akiyama okiya, hurrying along the street.

Endoh-san bowed "of course weekly orders would be best for you so just tell me what days you would like your helper to come in and I will make sure that I am here for her" she said.
"Here is the form for you to fill out it is just basic information I need to keep my accounts ready" Endoh said with a smile.

About 20 minutes after Lucya had left, Kiyora approached the Endoh Michiyo Food House. She had wandered around a bit and eventually found the correct building. It was odd, because she had never noticed this place before.
She walked gently to the front door and paused, wondering if she should knock or just go in. Remembering that it was a food house, she decided to just go in, but wait near the entrance to be invited in. She opened the door and cautiously stepped inside.
"Excuse me?" She said pausing to see if there was a reply. "I have the order form for the Akiyama Okiya."

Endoh-san smiled and wandered out to the dining room where a young lady was standing "hello and welcome I am Endoh it is a pleasure to meet you" Endoh-san said gently. "Come in, come in and make yourself at home" she said enthusiasticly.
"You say that you have an order for me my dear? well it is a pleasure, would you like some tea? we have many different teas so whilst we are discussing the order it is refreshing to have some" Endoh-san nodded politely.

"I would be delighted to have some." She said slipping of her zori. "Oh, please pardon my manners, haven't introduced myslef. My name is Kiyora Soutou, Lucya-san asked me to give this to you." She held out the form to Endoh. Form Name: Akiyama Lucya Business: Entertainment Occupation: Okiya Mother Food order: Day1: sukiyaki, ebi-suchi (shrimp), umejiso-maki (Japanese plum (ume) and perilla-leaf rolls) for 7 persons. Day2: tempura, oshinko (Japanese pickles), nigiri-sushi (pieces of raw fish over vinegared rice balls) for 7 persons. Day3: sashimi (raw fish (without rice)), kitsune soba (buckweed noodles with deep-fried soybean curd - tofu), something as a dessert for 7 persons. Day4: natto (fermented soy beans), hikari-mono (suchi with various kinds of "shiny" fish, such as mackerel), dessert for 7 persons. Day5: oyakodon (bowl of rice with chicken and egg), inari-sushi (vinegared rice and vegetables wrapped in a bag of fried tofu), umejiso-maki for 7 persons. Day6: Ramen with slices of roast pork, oshinko-maki (pickled-daikon (radish) rolls), dessert for 7 persons. Day7: sake-sushi (salmon), fried tofu, dessert for 7 persons. "Thank you Kiyora Soutou it is a pleasure to meet you" Endoh-san said with a smile. "Here it the tea" she said as she poured it into the cup that had been painted in a traditional pattern. "I take it you are enjoying yourself at the okiya?" Endoh asked.
"Please come this way and we shall sit" She lead the girl to a table and sat crossed legged on the mat. She had placed the tea directly infront of each other and smiled happily at her.

"The pleasure is mine Endoh-san," Kiyora said respectfully. "Thank you." She took the tea, inhaling and then taking a small sip.
"This is wonderful tea Endoh-san, perfectly warmed, slightly fragrant, and subtly sweet. " She smiled. "I would love to stay, but I'm afraid I really must be getting back to the Okiya." She rose from her seat and bowed. "Thank you ever so much for your hospitality."

Endoh bowed in return and took the tea tray back to the kitchen where her staff would clean up the mess. Endoh thought as she walked back to the front reception and went behind her desk. She wanted more students though she wasn't quite sure on how to advertise the fact as she didn't want just anybody coming in from the streets.

Kiyora slipped on her zori, thanked Endoh again, and stepped out. Closing the door behind her, she hurried back to the Akiyama Okiya.

Endoh went to the kitchen and ordered her staff to prepare for the order that Lucya-san wished for her okiya. She sighed and crossed her hands infront of her as she watched her staff carefully. Things would need to change here and fast, she thought to herself. She would need new apprentices and she wondered what Lucya-san would think about letting some of the maikos come along and learn?

Umemi sighed as it had been a very quiet week and wasn't quite sure on how to recruit the new students that she so sorely needed. She looked through the books at the front reception and noted that her orders for the Okiya had also been slow over the past month so she decided that she would have a quick word with Lucya-san to see what has been happening.

Umemi paced up and down the hall and wandered what on earth she should do to get students interested in learning the traditional ways of cooking. She thought back to the idea of asking at the okiya and decided that she would. She made herself look presentable and went to the door of the okiya and knocked. Rat a tap tap, and then waited patiently to be let in.
