A Strange Thing Happened Today
So..the day was rather boring..and totally normal. Training was more bloody than usual. But that happens sometimes..especially when the natives become restless and want more of a challenge. Thankfully all the ones I worked with knew better than to draw any of my blood. So once I saw those wounded to the healer I set about the rest of my day.
I skipped over the sweat lodge and went right to the bath house..since the others' blood was all over me. Those fellows are way too dangerous to leave unattended for long, so it was a short bath but it did it's job well enough. I emerged from the bathhouse, with damp hair, and slightly damp under my fresh clothing.
I did however go to the massage room. That I never pass up, it benefits me too much for me to pass it up when I am able to get it done. It was a very soothing and relaxed my nerves and anxiousness for whatever task my sisters might think up for me to tend to later on.
My roth steak was perfect..not to red and not to cooked. Most times I'm either stuck with over charred meat or a raw mass of roth meat on my plate. Thankfully though today the regular cook was keeping up on his duties...and overseeing that everything was cooked and prepared perfectly. I complimented him on his work, causing a satisfied smile to cross his face before he turned back to berating the kitchen staff to do their jobs normally.
Once I did make it over to the Viper's nest and receive my task from the five that were gathered there I was rather surprised. They seemed rather preoccupied by something else that had been going on in House politics..so the task was actually quite easy for a change. It took me only an hour to walk to the marketplace and start asking around for the item they had requested. Fifteen minutes later, with the item wrapped in burlap and securely held under one arm I started home.
That was when I spied a jewelry set that I could envision Yallinda wearing proudly. On a whim I stopped and required about the price for the set. I was rather disappointed to find out that I didn't nearly have enough to get it..I would have to come back later when I had enough I decided. I asked the owner if he would put the set aside for me to buy the next day. He agreed, only after he noticed the House insignia affixed to my cloak.
I walked back to the House with a happy grin on my face..picturing the pleased look on Yallinda's face when I got to present it to her.
After presenting the item to the Vipers, I was allowed to depart to my own quarters for the rest of the day. With the stipulation that I join the family in the big family dinner that would occur later on that night. I wasn't very pleased that the Matron was having a family dinner...it meant that something was going to be revealed and that most likely someone would either be leaving or someone might be coming to stay with us. She usually used family dinners as a way to present big news...perhaps that was what the Vipers had been upset about.
Upon entering my quarters I frowned. Something was off...as though someone had come in while I had been gone. That was very upsetting to me. I went to great lengths to keep Household staff and my family from entering it while I was away. I carefully examined the room for any tell tale signs of who it might have been. A glint of silver from my bed made me pause and then inch forwards to see what it was.
It was a necklace...with beautiful markings. A choker like necklace at that. While I never usually wear jewelry or even thought about it much..unless you count earlier, there was something eye catching about it's simplicity that I liked. I picked it up, ran my hands over it. It was smooth to the touch..and shiny. I slipped it around my neck and closed it. It fit perfectly..as though it were made for me.
Who could have left it for me? Was it Yallinda? Or had it been someone else with more evil intentions in mind for me? I immediately unlocked it and took it off; looking at it more closely. There were no inscriptions or any signs that it was enchanted or poisoned. Perhaps I was wrong. Perhaps it had been from Yallinda. I carried it over to my dresser and placed it inside of the top drawer with a faint smile on my face. I would have to see if I could catch Yallinda and ask her about it just to be on the safe side, but I was pretty certain that it was from her.

Thieves...Can Rot In the Abyss. Really..they can. I absolutely positively despise them. What exactly purpose do they fulfill? Probably the chaotic side of the Spider Queen. They do cause a lot of chaos in their wake. One of the many reasons why I would like to destroy every single one of them.
They are the scum of the Underdark. Wily, pretentious, greedy little buggers. They think that they are better than everyone else. With one in residence in my own home..it makes me very frustrated not to mention having numerous murderous thoughts about her. N'Auradria had better watch out, or I will end up killing her in her sleep.
My fixation and hatred of thieves all started because of one drow thief. His name was Oss'tvar Ru'nra. He was the epitome of every thief stereotype that one could think of. Which made him rather disagreeable, very paranoid. We were to do a job together..of which I was the muscle and watchman for him..only things ended up going wrong. And He disappeared at the first sign of trouble, taking the magical items with him. I very nearly died that night..attacked from all sides by multiple individuals..and not very well versed in any fighting techniques at the time. I was fortunate to even walk away from it alive.
Once I was better and well enough I went out searching for him. I have yet to find the rat, but I have heard that he's very well off from the proceeds that he got from selling off the magical items. This just makes me very angry. Those magical items were the belongings of my Aunt O'phranaylia..they had been stolen from her. She had hired the damn thief to retrieve them for her. I still think he knew had planned the whole thing out so that he would end up being rich in the end. When I find him, I shall bring down Ja'lithur justice on his greasy head. This I vow!
