Riku stood behind Zair, his presence completely masked, about to strike with a thrust to the back. His silver hair was tied back tightly in a high horsetail and his mouth quirked as it nearly always was, in a gentle smile.

The Queen walked through the dark quiet halls of her palace, overseeing the preparations. She'd already made sure the royal seamstress had the plans for clothes she and her son would wear; a simple, yet slicing ballgown, made a color darker than black, for her and a dashing suit of the finest deep-red silk for her son. She now passed many servants--who happened to be the lowest form of demon--who bowed low and respectfully, quickening their pace in her presence. The Queen headed down to the East wing where she found her son through one of the windows--showing the massive courtyard--as expected.

"I am ready now father," She smiled at him while she then said, "Do I have to bring a present?" she wondered while looking out her window. Seeing the bright sun light beaming in her room.

Zair was not stupid, nor blind. He spun suddenly and flung the guard he held at Riku, it was a distraction, nothing more, as Zair raised his sword and grinned wildly at Riku, "All right then, let's do this."
Sura smiled, "No need for a gift my dear, we were invited as guests, come now, we should hurry." He smiled warmly and lead his daughter through the castle and outside, and then into the carriage as it began to drive towards the kingdom of Octavia

Once upon a time....
Sabine sat in the carriage with her father her pale blue eyes watched her kingdom slowly shrink off into the distance. She then closed her eyes and rested so that when she arrived at the ball she would be wide awake. Her angelic wings where folded close to her back which she was very used to yet she could not wait to arrive so she could stretch.

Sura watched his daughter happily, but sadness filled his eyes. He did not want his daughter, his little star, to marry a demon, but he knew it was the only way to end the war, he sighed. In his mind he went over the litany that had sustained him through this conflict, 'To make peace, however fleeting, sacrifice must be made.'

Sabine opened her pale blue eye slightly seeing her father looking at her with sad eyes. She sat up and took her father's hand and frowned lightly, "What troubles you father?" She asked him with her soft kind voice.

"Well if I am to be a Queen one day I need to know of these matters!" she spoke in a serious tone while smiling warmly at her father. She looked so much like her mother it was almost bizarre. She squeezed his hand back and asked, "Please tell me what troubles you?"

Sura laughed merrily, "You are not queen yet, and I don't plan on dying anytime soon, so don't bother of it, they are minor matters. Please, rejoice, we are going to a ball after all, it is a rare opportunity, very few times has Octavia allowed anyone from Andromeda to enter their lands, let alone their palace."

Sabine smiled at her father and giggles innocently, "That is true all of it!" she then looked out the window and noticed the scenery started to change to lands unfamiliar to her, "this is Octavia?" she asked while feeling a chill go up her spine.

Sura nodded calmly, the dark clouds above them cutting off the sunlight, leaving them in the twilight of demon fire and shadows. "Yes, it is a harsh place, but the people that live here are harsher still...."

Once upon a time....
Her pale blue eyes narrowed yet she saw very strange yet beautiful flowers on the side of the road she smiled and spoek, "Even in the darkest places there is still some beauty." it was an odd thing for her to say yet the words came right out while her soft eyes were fixed on a strange looking Lilly that was black and red.

Sura nodded, "Yes, but beauty can be dangerous, those flowers are called BloodShade, it is poisonous, but, it is gathered by Ocatvians and refined to make the drug called Cerberus, which is one of Ocatvia's main exports."
