Personally, I don't believe that two people of the same sex should be "married" per say. But what I believe and what should be the law are two entirely different things.

However, I am also against the belief that the government should have the right and the power to regulate marriage at all. I think the government should only permit unions for insurance and living purposes and leave "marriage" up to whatever religious institution (or non-religious institution) the couple follows.

Churches should not be sued or held accountable in any way if they refuse to preform a ceremony for someone who lives a lifestyle which the teachings of the Church does not approve. If a gay couple after this still wants to be married then, nowadays, there are many licensed individuals and some Churches who are willing to preform the ceremony. Just leave the more traditionalists alone because its unrealistic to expect everyone to accept their relationship.
