iThread I am iThread, commonly known as "Gaia's Jack." He never changed his equipment on hi avi, but don't be fooled he is a horder. He really supports the idea that the Cash shop ruined Gaia, but some people take it too far. He just wans Gaia back to the way it really was. Good to have you aboard. I notice you claim to be the oldest active member. Well done. Hopefully, you'll be a powerful voice for the guild.

Hello I'm Pyra99. You can call me Pyra or Cat. (Finn's gotten into the habit of calling me that)
I've been on gaia for a couple of years now. I mostly use the site now as something to look at while something else is loading and maybe talk to the occasional friend but most of them quit because Gaia decided it was going to act stupid.
I have never used my own real money to buy things on this. I never bothered because I knew the price would drop on all the new things and because I'm normally pretty much broke. I refuse to use the money I could use to hang out with friends on some thing on the internet.
I sick of all the adds (I want to punch whoever thought it'd be a good idea to add sound to some of them) and the meaningless movie quest with the super lame items.

Hiyaaa!
I'm NK, and since I started my thread(s), I've been far too busy for my own sanity.
I've been a member here since late '03, and that's why I'm fighting so hard to get Gaia going back in the right direction - a direction that can make us all happy.
Um, I'm older than I want to be, but still young, and when I'm not causing major stirs within Gaia HQ (XDD) I'm usually hanging around R&C whoring my art. <3
I've been a GD, SF, and semi-GCD reg in my near 5 years here. x3

Hey folks.
I've been known by a variety of names since August 2003. Though if you've seen me around - most likely Site Feedback - you most likely knew me as Celestia Whitesword. Though I've since changed it to the name you see now, as I've been on the brink of heading to greener pastures, as it were.
And, as with many sentiments within NK's thread, I find many an agreeable point. Gaia's recent direction brings much cause to grumble, to say the least, what with many things broken, lagging into oblivion, among other things, not to mention the new cash shop's effect site-wide.
When I'm not raising holy terror in SF, you can find me mostly in guilds, as well as the odd foray into GCD.

Hello all!
I'm Sorano, or Sora if you prefer. I've been a loyal and frequent resident of Gaia since November 04' (on another account as well), and I'm extremely disappointed in the consumer-driven direction Gaia has slowly been taking, to say the least. Back when "donations" help kept the site running, there was a healthy balance between earning money, but also keeping the free elements of the site in mind. Cash features have now completely taken priority on the site, and I'm sick of it.
Lately, you'll probably find me lurking in NK's thread, and I amuse myself in the WG, CB and I do a little roleplaying.
Hopefully I'll be able to help out somehow! <3

Hey peoples!
My name is Michelle but you can call me Kaia it it's easier.
I've known about the site and had been semi-active since '05 on a few different accounts.
That being said, when I was younger I refused to go to the site through 'Gaiaonline.com'.
Anyway, as of late I've been really disatisfied with the fact that you need money to get the good items.
Donation Items were nice, after all, every site needs SOME money.
But, they took it out of hand with the Cash Shop and the Aquarium.
I lurk in NK's thread a little and I like to go into the GD and lurk.

I'm Alie, but you can call me Liv if you prefer. I've been a member since August 03, and this has been my main account since January 04. I'm a junior in university--I'm working towards 3 degrees and I also do extracurricular stuff, so I probably won't be the most active member. sweatdrop
I just really miss the way Gaia was back in the Go-Gaia days. Mostly I miss the maps. The Map of Gaia used to be a prominent feature here. It really made it feel like Gaia really was a place, if you know what I mean, and not just some website on the net. But now they seem to be forgotten about; they are no longer decorated for events and don't even have all the shops on them. Such a tragedy. crying
Oh, and for some reason the fact that the announcements no longer come from Lanzer, L0cke, VO, and the others, annoys me. Not sure why, but just seeing "Admin Lead" or whatever it is just seems so impersonal. I miss seeing the actual developers!
Is it the scars?

Hi! I go by" Ko," IRL to close friends, Regina to others. Anyway, I was suckered in about a year ago by a friend who was introduced to it by someone on dA[deviantart]. Anyway, instead of working on my Masters' thesis, I logged onto here instead. It's been amazing at how gaia changed in the past year. I mean, cash for VR stuff, when this site was supposed to be free? I'm astonished. I've put in way too much money just because I like my ava to have cute stuff. Maybe they're the reason I don't have a car question I won't be paying too much for a while. And what's with the ads? MTV? I guess they tried to bring in fresh demographics, while living us gamers, RPers and anime heart s in the dust crying .

Hiyo everyone.
My name's Lone S. Wolf, or Lone in the other guilds I'm a part of. I've been an active member of the Go-Gaia *<.< done on purpose* community since March of 2004.
When the cash shop did come out, I would usually just buy a cash card from target every couple of months, mostly to get MC's since I don't have a credit card.
However, with the shitty economy, I can no longer afford it.
But with the other items in the cash shops being outrageous in price, like $10 an item, I was immediately turned off by it. Of course, I am wearing a few cash shop items, but my sister has an account on here as well, and these were gifts from her for various holidays/b-days that have come around since the CS was introduced. And I think they hit an all time low with the political items being added to a site that at one time was a get-away from RL.
I also miss the old gaia, with the maps, and with announcements from Lanzer, L0cke, and the rest, and I wish for Gaia to return to the ways it was back at the beginning of Gaia.
o.0 Sorry bout the long post, that was totally not cool.

FirePhoenix Hello. I'm FirePhoenix. You can call me Fire, Phoenix, Phoe, or FP (for those who don't want to type out a lot. xD) I'm a second year college student at the moment at a research university. (And I'm doing horribly this semester it's not even funny... but I'm trying to change that.) I joined Gaia reluctantly through a friend who was trying to earn Gold through the 'Referral' system Gaia had back then. (Not sure if he's still alive or not...) Thought it was lame at first and was weird, haha. Short history on Gaia, I started in the Chatterbox for a while, then made my way to the Mini Shops with my own shop, then to the Breedables/Changing Pets forums when it came to existence, to the R&C forum when it came to existence as well, and finally to the GCD. Looking back and being rather wishful, I noticed how Gaia has change it's true 'core' and 'niche' has decayed over time. My only hopes is that Gaia fixes it's identity crisis and it's rather over-commercialization problems.
I do believe i am a fan.
I happen to be an inconsistency in terms of username and avatar, and a relative newbie.
I started early 2k7...
Like January or something.
Ive noticed something of the MCs...
They dropped their greatness, and reverted to a novelty that has no significance...
