((Alright, replying while I have time, but I've already told Mirra that my posts will be really slow because the internet at my house is down at the moment and I have limited time at college. ^^; Hopefully it'll work again soon.))

Meeka happened to be on her way back from the river, the water something she needed to help her with her baking that evening, although she wasn't making as much as usual at that moment, just something for the new kittens arriving.

With a contented sigh, and a smile on her, she lifted the jug she was carrying, now filled with water, so that it rested a little easier in her arms, until she passed through a low set of bushes and spotted a small figure nearby. A curious look now on her face, she sat the jug down and made her way forward, realising it was one of the kittens. "What's the matter young one?" She asked, her voice sounding concerned for the welfare of this kitten. She allready knew who she was and what had happened that would make her look like this, but she had been told to keep such things from her to not upset her further.

Meeka gave a smile, although it wasn't full of her uusual happiness, as she knealtt down beside Rayna, putting a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sure things will be fine. Your mother probably left for a nice place, you may see her again someday." She knew it was a lie, false hope, but she didn't want to see her shattered by knowing the truth right now. "Why don't you come with me for now. You can stay and help me if you'd like." She sugggested after a moment, feling responsible for looking after her now, since she was the one who had found her now that her mother was gone.

Meeka smied and gave a slight nod, noticing the fake smile. She promised herself then that she would tell Rayna what had happened once she was old enough to understand fully, not that she assumed the kitten was stupid and wouldn't understand now. It was to do with being emotionally ready. So young....she wouldn't want to handle it.

Not thinking about it to much further, she motioned for her to follow, heading back to the jug she had placed down earlier and picking it up in her arms again. "Alright, let's go."

It wouldn't take the two of them long to reach Meeka's home, the smell of cakes and pies and other things baked permanently into the air, so there was always a lovely smell around the place. She set the jug down on a nearby table before turning to Rayna. "If you want you can try and get some rest." She suggested with a smile, though she would have no problems if she wanted to stay up and perhaps help.

"If you feel you want to." Meeka gave a nod and smiled before she walked over to where her cooking supplies were kept, along with an oven where most of the smeels seemed to have originated from. "I was going to bake something for the new kittens here this morning, but I ended up a little side tracked. If you help me part of whatever we make will be for you."

Meeka was glad Rayna seemed to be feeling better, she tried her best to do what she could for those who were unhappy for whatever reason. "Well, if you could get me the items from the counter there, we can start." Meeka explained, motioning to the cooking utensils she used on a counter the kitten would easily be able to reach, before starting to pull out ingredients, the water the only thing she had been missing before.

Meeka was about to make her way over to help, when she saw Rayna drop the utensils, but saw her picking them up a moment later and smiled at the concentration on her face as she brought them over carefully the rest of the way. "Thank you." She said, still smiling as she took them and placed them beside the ingredients she had pulled out, deciding a cake might be the best place to start.

For this, she pulled over a sturdy chair, one Rayna would be able to stand on to reach this counter properly, before asking the kitten if she wanted to help measuring out the ingredients.

Losing interest in her flowers Keaira gets up and once again begins to wander. Once agains she finds the river and begins to wander along the banks. She soon notices fish leaping above the water. She quickly looks around and notices a few well placed rocks and being curious begins to climb out onto the large rock in the middle of the river. Once their she looks around and stretches out onto the rock to try and get the pretty fish.
