I totally agree. As I read the part when Ed leaves her, I was literally screaming at Edward "NUUUU!!! ;-;" but then I realized he was single and then I was happy for a lil bit but then I fell in love with Jacob lol. And then when Edward came back I got all jealous of Bella coz I Edward was my fave again.
Whenever I think of Jake I think of heat, and then when I read New Moon at the parts when Jake is in it I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside lol XD

I miss Edward like crazy when i read New Moon now. But it's okay because i know he will come back.
But i live through it because i use Jacob, just like Bella. (Not use in a bad way, just a great replacement for Edward. I say this in a very nice way).

'it will be like I was never here' (or something to that effect) well it's kind of hard for it to be like that unless you were planning to remove the stitches and the doctor bill for the leg cast in Pheonix! seriously there were reminders of them all over Forks! FORKS was a reminder! but to take all of her stuff was a low blow in my opinion and very juvinile to boot.

I understand where Edwardwas coming from, he just didn't want as many reminders of him as possible. The whole town was a reminder, but it is one that is not directly linked to him like the photos.
But it's just his personality, he goes to the extremes, so he wasn't anticipating Bella's reaction.

CarlisleCullen15 Was New Moon a bit to Edward-less for anyone's taste?
I mean, I liked that Jacob was introduced more then he was in Twilight, and we learnt a little more about the werewolves, but there was virtually no Edward action. It felt too empty. Agreed. I hope Stephenie does a book in Edwards perspective for New moon. I really want to know what was going through his mind through all of it.

But sadly, that isn't going to happen. She was upset writing Bella's point of view, she is going to be majorly depressed.

i did think it would have been more interesting if jacob wasnt on like EVERY PAGE!! evertime i turned the page i was like "OMFG MORE JOCOB????????" despite all this, it is prolly my fav

I rather liked New Moon and I think Edward really was stupid to leave her i mean come on U really think this girl who is hopelessly in love with u will just agre to forget about u...But I was a lil disapointed though that he wasn't in it as much and Im team Switzerland!! (I had no Idea that was a choice till now thank u guys for telling me!!!) Yeah my fave quote from the book is "I am a neutral country. I am Switzerland"

New Moon was my least favorite because of the Edwardlessness of it. I like Jacob, but I do prefer Edward.

I didnt sleep because I was eager to find out when I would read about Edward...*silly me* Jacob annoys me at times *that's just me* He can be cool sometimes though. However, New Moon is my favorite book. I think because it's so sad and the fact that it lacks Edward we realize how much Bella really loves Edward. Maybe though, Edward should've popped up a bit earlier...I like how Bella gets to save Edward this time though in a dramatic way.

I think making it "Edward-less" was the point.
Perhaps Stephenie wanted us fans to feel the same despair and crap Bella was going through. Also, of course, it was an introduction to Jacob's role in the entire series. Yes, he was in Twilight, but you never found out his importance. If Edward has stayed, Jacob probably would have never had a huge role in this series the way he does. This is just my intake on it, I don't know how anyone else feels. I enjoyed New Moon and loved seeing Jacob bring Bella out of her secluded darkness. He made her smile again. =)

At the beginning I was so upset that he left her...and throught the book I was just missing reading about him and couldn't wait for him to come back (I asked my friend if he was coming back in that book, but you could tell anyways).
It made me anxious, but when I could finally read about him again, it was worth most of the book reading about Jacob.

[i think in the FAQs of new moon] why edward had to leave and why he thought that she might be able to move on with her life and that was because he didnt know how much she really loved him. just like she doesnt understand why he would love her, he doesnt understand why she would love him. i dont think many people will completely understand unless stephenie writes new moon from edwards perspective [i hope she does!] but the question in the FAQs does help..
