"...and then, once they're down, you make fun of them and take whatever's in their pockets before you run back to your ship," Akuro finished wisely, returning a small stick of dynamite to his mouth and biting down on it. The dark-coated, raven-haired young boy in front of him gave him a quiet, awestruck stare from under a slightly-too-big makeshift pirate's hat.
"Not a talker, are you," Akuro asked.
The boy gave him a cheerful grin, revealing a missing tooth.
"Nice. Well, c'mon...I'm sure we'll find SOMEONE nice enough for you to mug," Akuro said doubtfully, getting off of the crate he was sitting on and looking around for a target.

"I didn't break it on purpose you know. " Captain admitted laughing at himself being pitied by a child. As he heard the last few sentences leave the boy's mouth his eyes lit up. In a swift motion upwards picking up the little Pikles as if he was a marvel among marvels, "Oh you rich scurvy dog I believe we shall be good friends!" he cheered, "Now where can we best find your father?"

Tien thought about the aspect of a tan albino again and still couldn't picture it in her mind. "But doesn't that go against the definition?" she muttered finally still not convinced but not eager to continue the conversation since the more concerning conversation about the whereabouts the captain was. "Lets go to the docks then" Tien agreed and started off in long strides toward the shore. Fatallis who didn't feel like keeping pace with the elf clung to Cici's arm instead.

"Ah well you see I'm new around here so I don't know where the mayor's house be." He frowned Pikles still in his arms, "I'm sure it's around 'ere somewhere." He finally set the child down slowly his full height towering over the boy.

Cici looked at Fatallis, "When she going to learn not every one want to walk quickly, some of us want to take in the sights." She smiled and began walking, keeping a pace good for Fatallis.

Pikles nodded excitedly, swinging his arm excitedly and humming the previous tune he had been singing. "Let's see... How am I gonna ask daddy?" He qeustioned no on in particular, adding an extra little leap to his bounce, and nearly faceplanting before catching himself and continuing his skip without pause "Hmmm..." He tapped his chin with his free hand thoughtfully "What do you think Captain, sir?"

Pikles was silent for a moment "But that's not very piraty Captain, sir!" He said glumly "It's easy to ask that way!" He paused for a moment, before skipping backwards and staring wide eyed at the older pirate "A vase? The King? What happened next?! Huh, huh, what next? Did you get thrown in jail, did you have some... Some epic exit!!!!" Pikles, had just turned into a fanboy...

The man looked at the enthralled Pikles and chuckled. "Well, the king not being too happy that I had snuck into his royal ball ordered scores of guards all armed and battle ready for my head." he continued his tale using wide arm movements to exaggerate his point, "I of course wasn't frightened one bit as I started to fight with my one blade knowing that I wouldn't have time to pull and reload any of my guns..." He continued to tell his tall tale glad someone was interested as they walked.

Fatallis looked at CiCi's back and very reluctantly climbed on disappointed that he was slowing everyone down today. He curled his long tail so it just hovered above the ground and pointed from under his cloak to reveal his scaled claw-like hand. "He's due north maybe about a mile...." he muttered in her ear.

Tien was too busy walking that she didn't even notice CiCi and Fatallis were no longer following her.

Pikles nodded, mouth hanging open in a look of shock and wonder "Really?!" He gasped out, jumping up and down a little, managing to shake the captain's entire arm up and down as he did so "That's amazing! What next? How'd you get out? Did you get the vase? How much was it worth?!" He rattled off his questions like he'd practiced them infront of a mirror.
