I ride bareback sometimes, usually when I'm too lazy to put the saddle on, but it's not very comfortable and I don't enjoy having horse dust/hair on my jeans. I need to get a bareback pad. ]:

I love love love riding bareback.
Everyday I used to warm up with a saddle and then go bareback for like 45 min. back when I leased a bomb proof saddlebred. It was the only way we could get our simple lead change.
Now, I have a 17hh Belgian Cross and he is fun to go bareback on too, but I can't during winter. I tried it twice, fell off both times cause he takes off at the sound of snow falling off the roof. sweatdrop But now I do alot, and he is wicked comfy.
My riding instructor calls trotting, cantering, and jumping bareback "thigh master work" Haha.
