Kei shrugged, "If things go right and we are unnoticed then things will be fairly dull, but if we are discovered by an err on our part or if we are betrayed then there is no way of telling just how much 'fun' you'll have Manndar." Kei said as he paused from eating the chips he had taken, and looked around the docks and then at the large clock over the blackboard with the departure times for the ships. "I wonder if the final member of the squad is going to show or if we'll be leaving without them?" Kei asked no one in particular but took a sidelong glance at Masa before he bit into another chip and munched on it.

Manndar finished his apple core and all, and a smile crossed his face. "I've never been on a boat that didn't come with oars," Manndar said. "At least that part will be fun. The constant swaying will make a great opportunity for me to practice on my balance."
Manndar then jumped up to his feet, raised his right hand up into the air, and brought it down in front of him clenched into a fist. "Lets go!" Manndar said with excitement.

Time was up. It was two in the afternoon and Syaoran was just about to call off the wait and leave without their absentee when it came to him. He'd thought he heard fireworks going off earilier, and a rumbling sound in the distance. Now he saw smoke rising in a thick cloud over the merchant sector of the village. There'd been recent reports of Chaos in the area, but surely he wouldn't have...
Then came the first of the crowd of villagers fleeing in what looked a good example of terror. When Masamune stopped him, the only information he could garner was that the Hanekage's office had been blown up. There was some good news..
"The mission will have to wait another day, the village is under attack." Masamune informed his two companions, "Spread out and see what's going on. If you find anyone causing trouble, kill him. I'll handle the paperwork." he said, and wondered if he might regret that offer, considering the skills of the two jounin.

"Ok." Manndar said as he began to lightly stretch. "Lets take care of things quickly. I can't wait for the boat trip."
Manndar then took off into the village in a full sprint and quickly disappearing into the village.

Masamune ran off in the direction from whence the smell of smoke was coming. He knew the smell intimately, being that he was an ace fire ninja. This particular smoke was slightly sulfurous, indicating that it had come from an explosion, likely that of the fireworks he'd heard earlier.

Kei sighed disappointedly, "I was really looking forward to this little vacation." he muttered to himself as he slipped his hands into his pockets and followed the other two away from the port and back to the village and siletly contimplated the best way to extract his vengeance from whoever it was who had disrupted his mission.
