Aylen jumped up as he suddenly heard another voice join him in his counting. He sat back down as a man emerged from a nearby tree. How much had he heard, exactly?
"Gah! Gods above, you scared me," said the redhead breathlessly. He was rather disturbed that he hadn't felt this man's presence. He had never met anyone who could cloak his emotions so well that he wouldn't be able to tell if he was there. "Erm, yes, I can," he said nervously. 'I lost count, again...' he thought woefully.
He sat back down, crossing his legs, and watched the man warily as he counted. He didn't like the way he jumped out of nowhere.

- Aveto grinned at the sight of Aylens woried face, aveto saw a glint of slight terror in Aylens eye too. -
- Ayelns eye gave away nearly all his secrets even secrets Aylen didnt know
Aveto felt sorry for a tragic event that had occured to Aylen. -

Well, perhaps not terror. Just an uneasiness that probably wasn't too much out of place. Had he actually been feeling terror he would have been able to mask it fairly well, young as he was. The boy had to be able to separate his emotions from others' if he wanted to avoid insanity. To do this, Aylen had to learn to "lock away" selective feelings.
The event that had happened to the redhead was tragic indeed, but he refused to view it that way. Another way to keep his sanity.
"Erm, no reason. Why are you?" he replied, skirting the question. The way he was straining for this person's emotions bothered him greatly. No one had ever been able to conceal his feelings from this boy, and he had met a great many people. Not a one. He didn't even have to try to sense them.

-Asked Aveto altough he already knew, it was just an intent to incomodate Aylen -
-Aveto was having a very hard time blocking Aylen from his emotions, but he tought that he could maintain hi position until he got what he wanted. -

(ooc: Sorry. ^_^ Aylens gift is to sense emotions, but you aren't posting anything about Aveto's feelings. Make it difficult for me. Is he blocking his feelings, is he curious, is he mad, what?)

(ooc: Ah whatever. sweatdrop I just thought some of his emotions could be leaking out or something. Next time could you say you were blcoking your emotions when you first post? That'd make it easier for me. whee )
"Nothing," the boy said stubbornly. He glared at the man. "Nothing's wrong. What do you want?" The redhead's mood had gone swiftly from wary to hostile. People couldn't hide their emotions unless they practiced. It takes years and years of training to be able to conceal your emotions from a natural-born empath like Aylen. And people didn't train for that unless they had something to hide. Something bad.
"Who are you? How long have you been in that tree?" Aylen demanded.

- he was worried that Aylen might have had time to read his emotions......all the murders, all the betrayal, all the cold inside him, if this was so he might have lost his time here. -

Myles, walking in the cool night air, overhears much of this conversation. He takes three large ball bearings out of his pocket and starts juggling.
"Don't you have anything better to do than harass kids in the park, my fine feathered friend?"

Though the redhead had sensed a bit of fear, he wasn't able to associate it with anything. Whether it was fear of discovery of a secret or fear of a spider, he usually depended on the context of the situation to make his conclusion. Many made the mistake of confusing him for being a telepath, like his mother. His mother could convey words and thoughts, but any emotion would have to be done the normal way: through words and expression.
Aylen quirked an eyebrow at the man. "A few days?" he said doubtfully. Yes, there was definitely a good bit of nervousness. It was made even more obvious to the boy when he tried to fake a smile. This man had something to hide. His blue eyes narrowed, but before he could say anything, another voice joined the conversation.
Feathered? The boy wondered. His memory was sharp as a steel trap, and it would be correct to assume that this small clue had already been caught in the teeth.
(ooc: If you could also post how your character is feeling at the moment, Mylian, that would make life so much easier for me. My character is an empath, meaning he can feel others' emotions.)

((I'd say he's feeling mostly amused by the fact that this creepy fellow seems to indeed have nothing better to do than spook some kid in the park. Myles has seen this guy around followed by crows, it seems to be his schtick, so the comment was based on that. He's slightly wary, but confident, he doesn't seem to think he's in much danger.))

((A 4? Hot damn. One hell of a defensive electrical charge has been readied by Myles, basically turning him into a living bug zapper. Neither Aveto nor Aylen can see it visibly, but any crow that might happen to get within the field, say a foot away from Myles' body, is gonna get crispy real quick.))
