The emperor reviewed the scrolls before him. Between completing his courtly functions and training with his sword, he was required to appoint officials to various positions throughout the kingdom. Currently, he was scanning through a list of future takers of the civil service entrance exams that were likely to pass.
It was a boring, yet necessary, task.
Hotohori placed the scroll to the side, opening the next. This might take a while.
Perhaps a small rest might be in order.
Hotohori continued working through the stack of scrolls, waiting for his advisors to wander off or get distracted. Once they did, he slipped out of the chamber, making sure that his guards knew that he was not in any danger. He still remember the last time he chose to take a break without alerting anyone.
Having his advisors send soldiers into the capital to search for kidnappers had been less than pleasant.
Hotohori went to one of the gardens.
((Well, it's a start. Now the trick will be getting him to the others, or the others to him. Any ideas?))

Nuriko walked walked aimlessly around trying to find hootari. He knew that sometimes Hootari would walk in the garden.
He had put on his prettest outfit and most expensive jewelry. It was an every day ritual to get dressed up and walk across Hootari's path hoping that he would notice him.
However it usually was fruitless *sigh*
Nuriko cuaght a glimp of him by the rose bushes after about an hour of waiting and quickly walked near him batting his eyelashes.

Thug #1: and why is that?
"Because its oh so difficult to do so when you're unconcious" Tasuki then rushes and and begins fighting the thugs, After dealing with 2 of them one of the remaining ones grabs him from behind while the other one moves around in front waving a pointy knife.

While the thug was distracted, Miaka used one of the drop-kicks she had seen on the Women's Wrestling program yesterday. The thug went down with a loud thud and the knife flew far away from him. He ran from the two. Miaka was exuberant. "That was AWESOME!! Sugoi Desune!!!!" She gave a little bow and said, "I also wanted to thank you. You know...for bailing me out."

"You're welcome. I guess you escaped from those guards, huh. Well, I'm going to go see if I can get some food. Why don't you go on home." Then Tasuki walks out into the crowd and disappears into it as well as a red headed guy with a black coat can in ancient china.

Miaka shrugged and struggled through the crowd. She made it past the large crowd and found that she was viewing a large palace from a long distance. Though, it was quite beautiful. Lost in thought, Miaka did not see the approaching guards as one lay his big, burly hand on her shoulder and forced her to the ground.
"Stop it!" she shouted, closing her eyes. A red light encased the frightened Miaka, and the guards looked astonished. Miaka could see home. It was so close, but then she was brought back to Ancient China.
"Witch!!!" the guards screamed and forced Miaka into chains. They took her to the palace and threw her into a dungeon cell. There, she sat...wondering how she had gotten to this forsaken place and into this predicament.

Hotohori relaxed in the garden adjacent to the west palace wall. It would be an hour or two before his advisors located him. Hopefully they wouldn't do anything too malicious to the guards who let him by.
((At this point, Hotohori has no way of knowing about Miaka being in the dungeon. He has to either be located, or he has to go back voluntarily. Or there's the option of loud fun noises!))

Waiting in the cell, Miaka was bored stiff. She started fiddling with her hair, when she realized that she had bobby pins in her hair. The guards were nowhere in sight and Miaka picked the lock with her hair piece.
"Yooshi..." she said as she heard the lock click and the cell door swing open. Miaka silently snuck further down into the cells looking for a way out. She found herself at the end of the cells and noticed that one of the bricks was pulled out a little bit further than the rest. Miaka pushed it back into place and the wall swung open. It led her outside, into a garden. Miaka felt a gust of wind as the wall swung back shut.
Wandering the shadows of the garden, Miaka found that a figure...across the way...was staring in her general direction.
"Oh no...they're going to yell for help," Miaka gasped. She began to run the opposite way from the beautiful woman.

Hotohori enjoyed the clean crisp air. He couldn't believe how tense he had become reading so many scrolls. Of course, it might have just been the company involved...
A creaking sound came from the garden's south wall.
That's not supposed to happen.
Then again, strange females wearing entirely indecent attire were hardly a normal part of palace gardens, either. Isn't the south wall adjacent to the holding cells?
((Sowwies about the comment on Miaka's clothes, but they would have definitely stood out. And so comes the time to meet. *rubs hands together in glee*.))

Continuing to observe the strange woman in the indecent clothes, Hotohori slowly worked his way towards the main exit out of the garden. If this was an enemy, he'd have more maneuverability there. If she was a prisoner, it would give him a quick route to his guards. It also provided an excellent backdrop for his majestic appearance.
He merely had to observe her actions, and to see if she had any allies hidden elsewhere in the garden.
((Is she noticing Hotohori or Nuriko?))

*snap* The snap of a twig suddenly cuaght Nuriko's attention. He turned around to see another girl approching Hootari stressed A very ugly girl who was nowhere as becoming as Nuriko. Nuriko ground his teeth. How dare she try and make a move on his beloved Hootari! He instantly hated this weird girl with unfashionable clothes and resolved to go beat some sense into her.
