My family and friends outside the Internet don't know yet. I'm afraid they'll shun me and disown me; I'd rather tell them when I'm independent and I have a good job.

Hah! You do not know how my family is.. Both my parents seem to express such contempt when it comes to the GLBT community, but I don't know if they'll do the same with me when they find out. My grandma and most female relatives are such die hard Christian fanatics, that they most probably think the same way. Whatever their parents were teaching, I sure as hell am lucky that I'm more open-minded and didn't learn them. (Btw, I'm Christian too)
I wish that I was younger, so that by the time comes when people accept the GLBT community as people and not as "sinful identities" or "disgusting gays or lesbians", I'd be a teen, and I'd be able to come out of the closet much easier. Heck, I might even flaunt my sexuality, if the coast seems clear. xd

My parents are huge homophobics, just like my grandparents so its kind of hard to tell them but i've told almost all of my friends & they're cool with it ^^ I've also told all my cousins & my siblings, & they're fine with it, yeah so pretty much my whole friends & younger family understand. Funny they told me they already knew just because it seemed so obvious sweatdrop

Out of the couple of friends I actually share s**t with, they seem rather open && accepting. On the otherhand, family members: not so much. After most of my childhood & adolescence with being acused && teased for being a lesbian by my brother, I'm not sure what his opinions on it are now. I haven't told him about it. I always denied it. He doesn't bring it up anymore. My sister is probably the most open. She doesn't care. My parents are homophobes. I talked about the topic very casually -homosexuality. They always roll their eyes about it && my mum never fails to mutter out the word ''sicko's''. They think homosexuals should be dropped off on a barren island, as with lunatics, psychotics, murderers, rapists, *****, etc. Additionally, they said if I were homosexual, they would disown me. Unfortunately there was no sign of sarcasm in their voice, or face. Haha my dad said he wouldn't even call me his daughter any more.. P: Then they wonder why I never tell them about the inner tickings of my mind.

♥♥♥ ::Then put headphones on your heart:: ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ::and then turn the volume up. :: ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ::Let the rhythm throb in time with the pumping of your blood.:: ♥♥♥ My entire family knopws that I'm a lesbian. It was hard to come out, seeing as they are actively anti-gay, but I was relieved to hear that they cared too much about me as their daughter to disown me over it. ♥♥♥ ::And the music heals where the cracks have started:: ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ::so once again:: ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ::you will be whole hearted.:: ♥♥♥

Only a few of my family members know, my dad doesn't seem to mind but is a bit uncomfortable with it. Though he hasn't said anything hateful towards me. My younger sister knows and she is supportive, and doesn't mind that I like girls. One of my aunts, and uncles know and they don't mind in the least. Now when it comes to my grandmother, well that's a different story she's an anti-gay Christian.
When she found out she told me that I needed to go to church, and learn what the bible was all about. When it comes to my friends most seem alright with it, they know not to bash same sex relationships around me. A few think that its weird, but thus far hasn't said anything to me personally, or behind my back that I know of.

Convulsive Gummi Bear Then they wonder why I never tell them about the inner tickings of my mind.
Wow... Aren't we just alike? xD My parents complain that about me A LOT. But the truth is, I just like keeping to myself and being in my own world. My mom gets very dramatic with her lectures though, which pisses me off quite a bit. neutral I find them annoying if they're trying to meddle with my "inner peace". What about you?

I am bi, I was in the closet for awhile before I was comfortable with it. Now I am open to everyone and feel better about who I am.
My family didn't know for awhile, only my closest friends knew that I was bisexual. My first girlfriend was somehow able to convince me to tell my parents so I did. My mom wasn't really ok with it and thought it was a phase, and she still has problems with it today. My dad was much more accepting of it, but my sister is the one who is completely supportive of me. But the rest of my family doesn't know because I haven't told them and I don't plan on it anytime soon.

Everyone's known since about 6th grade. I'm in high school now, and I think everyone's finally gotten over it.

A few of my siblings know, some nieces and my closest friends. but it's hard to disclose your sexuality (nor would I ever choose to wear a rainbow cape). no straight person goes up to you and says "I'm straight!" unless you happen to walk into a gay bar.. but that's totally besides the point. I find it hard to open up about who I am to other people. It's hard to be rejected, or to even think about it. I couldn't even tell two of my gay friends. I fail at life. <_<

I'm Bi. Ive told my closest friends, my mum and my younger sister. She's the most accepting of my family...the rest....hmm. Were like this big close family and things spread like wildfire so i tell one who dosnt agree with it and I'm screwed. My auntie Nolene actually said she would disown any of her sons if they turned out gay!
When i told my Granny my bestfriend was gay she laughed saying it was a phase.... they dont agree with it but i still dont want to be scrutinised by the one im closest to. My cousins and brother are totally against it! Brainwashing from the older generation *roll eyes* My cousins I'm closest too would joke about me being into girls not really knowing.
When i told my mum I didnt think it would be a big deal, she has lesbian friends and we'd talked about it before. "I knew it, you greedy b***h!" After her small outburst she nodded with an okay lol My sister told me she didnt care if i was a lesbian or not when she found one of my FanFictions on my laptop. I wont tell the rest of the family unless I'm in a serious relationship; even my facebook etc dosnt have my orientation. Cus they all have it stupid computer savvie family wink
