Treven looked at the young man as he continued to stroke the horse. "Is that so? Well, I hope that they know my family depends on both of them very much."

There were quite a few characters that came through town. Father had warned him to be suspicious of all traveling merchants and out of town buyers. This may be a person Treven would need to watch out for. Being able to read an animal was something the normal town people didn't do. There was no telling if the intentions of these people was good or bad, but Treven remembered everything his father had ever said to him, so he remained cautious.

"Is there something in particular you're looking for?"

((have no clue what to post for Azarel at the moment))

"They do, more then you know it," Zakiax replied, the horse snorted at him blowing air into his face. He chuckled. "That stays a secret got it?" he told the horse and gently kissed him on the nose. "Not really, just wandering about here and there."

"I see. A traveler?" Treven might as well take in the opportunity to chat with this person since customers were sparse this afternoon.

The price on these cows were pretty high, her whole months savings down the drain! A devious smiled crossed those dimble cheeks, casually untieing the rope that bounded the animal to it's post. Amber started to lead the beast away in hopes no pesent or merchent would summon the courage to tattle.

Mobin flew across the ash colored sky, circling around the tops of the bare oak in horror, 'those poor creatures!' the sudden chilled wind blew, blowing a very fermiliar scent. 'a dragon.' though the ancient one couldn't see it but a man with long black hair caught the lizards eye. The smell was coming from him.

((does this mean you're taking the cow from the butcher then? Cuz that's a bit further from me so I wouldn't see her do it.))

((Okay, well I'll say you're close enough to see))
Treven waited for a reply and continuation of conversation when he noticed in the distance behind the stranger in front of him someone leading away the cow he had sold just hours earlier to the butcher. This person seemed to be leaving the butcher's shop in a sneaky kind of way. Instead of a proud owner of new livestock or food for his family... this person held the cows line over his shoulder and kept the cows head close to his own. Treven looked on, his suspicion continued to grow.

The delicate meat that would be devoured soon enough by her abnormally large friend, had stoped short. Without turning, Amber began to try to pull the beast, only to hear the ridged sound of the shop keeper.

"Hey! You need to pay for--- Get back here!"

The red headed girl didn't bother to turn, nor to apalogize but instead took off on foot. No, she didn't head north, but more of backwards. The girl pushed off, flipping onto the rooftop of the shops building, thus causing an alarming whistle to blow.

'Damn it.'

The whistle had summoned the guards, the shop keeper pointing up towards the strange girl as Amber began to move which made him scream more.

(( not the best sorry >< ))

"I suppose you could say I am a traveler of some sorts," Zak replied causally. His attention was still on the horses until the commotion with in the town began. He let his eyes drift towards the direction of the noise. "There never seems to be a dull day here does there?" he had directed this question to the horses, who whinnied in response. "Really, I've had many dull days, though I suppose that is why I go and hang out with the wolves most of the time, always seem to have interesting conversations with them."

Treven's mind was a mix of emotion. Baffled by the stranger in front of him who not at all surprised with the criminal act that was taking place, angered by the person running off with the cow he had helped birth, and protective over the items in his cart. If he didn't have absolutely everything his family depended on in the cart just beside him, he would chase after the criminal.

He had become a warm pot of emotions that boiled over unexpectidly. Treven turned to the stranger in front of him and grabbed the reigns of his horse in his hand, causing the horse to flinch. His voice came out firm and demanding, a tone brought on by anger at the criminal. "If you're not going to buy anything from me sir, then I suggest you move on. I don't need any trouble."

"I'm sorry," He whispered softly, "I didn't mean to cause any trouble, its just I can't seem to help myself when I'm around animals. I like conversing with them see, many of them have very interesting stories to tell, and I like hearing those stories. Truthfully I suppose I am a collector of stories more then anything." He paused for a bit and then gave a small bow towards Treven, "I must thank you for letting me speak with them," Straightening up the dragon pushed his hand into his pocket and pulled out his small pouch of gold coins and then placed it on the horse's head. "That is for the trouble I caused, now if you will excuse me there are many more things I would like to do today while I'm in town." He bowed again and then quickly left disappearing with in the crowd.

Now to find the criminal, there always seemed to be some sort of story behind people's actions and well the dragon always seemed to like to know why. I suppose you could say that the dragon was one who liked to search for the truths in things rather then accusing someone of something. Especially when it came to his father, even though he hated the man he really wished he knew why he did what he had done in the past. He wanted to know the whys in life more then anything.

That fiery red head zipped on top of the badly made diminutive shops and homes, hoping over a few chimneys here and there, but nothing too drastic. The guard’s voices bellowed through the crowded streets, slowly dying out by the time the girl slowed down, coming to a halt on top of red roofed barn. Taking a deep breath inward, relieved to have escaped the clutches of justice, a sudden clicking, then popping noise made Amber look up, only to happen to look down. The roof, which she stood on, had enough water damage and termites living in it to call a hotel, rather then a barn to keep the cattle. The petite body fell through, landing on the comforting blades of fresh hay. Oddly enough, there were no animals in the barn, just a few barrels or two, yet, the fragrant smell of sweat, oats and wet dog reassured not only barrels and termites accompanied this space. The small head rolled back, her vision fuzzy and pieces of hay stuck in the pigtails. Her body rolled off the bed, swaying a bit clumsily, now standing straight up and beginning to adjust the brown vest.

’Mobain…. Your going to get me thrown in jail one day because of that demanding appetite.’

Conversing with horses? Stories to tell? This stranger must be crazy, Treven thought.

At the sight of the pouch left on his horses head, his facial expression melted from angry to sorrowful. He had yelled, unintentionally, at this stranger. Crazy or not, that was no way to treat someone.

He pocketed the pouch and patted the horse above the nose. Treven looked into the large glassy eye of the horse and wondered what sort of stories he might tell, and then shook his head, remembering that foolish thoughts were wasted time according to his father.

Treven returned to calling out to passerby's, to coax them towards his array of goods, the back of his mind hoping the theif would get what he, or she, deserved at some point.
