Sayuri's lips parted softly as she closed the door bowing her head. Soon afterward she stood walking off the porch and pressing her feet into her tatami shoes. Her hands gathered together as she walked with her head slightly lowered.
In her thoughts, she replayed a few moments ago...
"Priestess Sayu-"
"I am no longer a priestess..." She closed her eyes bowing her head to the first young man, "If you will excuse me..."
She paused in the middle of the street sighing, "What do I do...?"

Mai entered the town tiredly, the wounds from her last commission still aching, her staff unusually heavy across her back. What to do now... She should have been exhilarated; the last mission had been a successful one and there was plenty of money in her pocket. I dunno... it just doesn't seem to be any fun anymore. And then there's those dreams...

((Hehe. Yeah Im back. Sorry about that. ^^; School caught up with me for a while...XD; ))
"Im Akiko, nice you meet you," She said, also smiling. Looking up to where his gaze had wandered she noticed the clouds growing thick in the sky. The rain. She'd need to find shelter... At an inn. Or maybe a cave. WHerever she could find. Currently she said, "So, any specific destination, Ryou?"

`Akiko . . . that was her name . . . Today must be my lucky day.' He thought, picking up his shirt. "Yeah . . . Over at the next village." He said, putting his shirt on. Once he had his arms and head popped out, a shiver went down his spine, but not because of the chilly air . . . He could feel eyes on him. This has been happening to him many times before, ever since afew weeks ago. Yeah, he thinks he's being watched, and he also thinks that he's just being paranoid. "You?" He asked, keeping his small smile planted on his face. ((Ack- school . . . same problem here . . .))

((*nods* yes, Ryou is heading towards an inn, it's about to rain, and I think you'll be meeting him soon, along with Akiko maybe . . .the thing that scares me is that i'm the only man here . . . I MEAN- girl play as a GUY! I'M STRAGIHT! I SWEAR TO GOD! - well, as I was saying - i'm the only person playing a guy here, and I feel like everyone's out to get me and try to get Ryou . . . *gulp* eek

((Hehe. ^^;; ))
"I was heading that way too," Akiko said contemplating this turn of events. She could go with Ryou, if it was alright with him that is, but she still didnt know if he was trust worthy, but she decided that some company would be nice after traveling so long with on one to talk to. Akiko gave a smile and said, "Would you mind if I tagged along?"

"Sure. I why not?" Perfect. Everything was going to plan . . . Well, it wasn't really a plan . . . More like a coincidence . . . But oh well . . . He thought up a plan at that every moment . . . Yes, such a greatly secret plan - that I'm not even going to type it up. ^^
((LoLz ^^; Sry, I couldn't resist))

(I guess I'll meet up at the 'Inn' as well o.O;;; ))
Sayuri began to walk towards the Inn timidly, normally she would hide out in some local families home in exchange for her blessings...but she felt like doing things normally for once. She slid the door open gently and walked in closing it behind her. It was warmer inside then it was outside.
The old man sat behind the counter looking her up and down wearily. "Are you looking for a room miss?"
She paused... looking around at first and offered the old man a kind smile and he returned one as well, "Yes, is there any on such a fine day as this, sir?"

Mai maneuvered carefully through the door, trying to get through without the weapon slung over her back chipping the wood or anything like that. This looks like a nice place, I guess. Dropping her weapon down on the floor with a thump, she waited for the girl ahead of her to finish her business so she could get a room. But only until it's That Time, she thought unhappily.

The hotel caretaker nodded picking up an inkpen with his finger tips and unraveling a small scroll. He peered behind the young ex-priestess to look at the other girl behind her then cleared his throat rather loudly. "Your name please Miss."
Timidly Sayuri stepped closer to the counter leaning in a bit and gave a sort of formal bow like normal priestess' would, "Sayuri..." she quietly said as for no one to hear her. She watched him carefully as he wrote her name down quickly in foreign letters.
"Small room...or do you require a double?"
"A small room will be just fine..."
The old man nodded his head reaching under the desk for an inkbottle... he licked his ink pen quickly and opened up the bottle... "200 please."
Sayuri reached in her pocket easily pulling out a small delicate bag, embroidered with sakura flowers and made of yellow pale silk. She opened the red draw string. She reached in pulling out a thick gold coin and placed it in the hand of the old man. He smiled at her and nodded his head.
"Sesiyu will lead you to your room, Lady Sayuri." He said nodding to a woman at the sliding door on the far left. She was not quite a lovely woman in the face. But the elegance of her silk robes heightened her beauty, and her delicately painted white face made her seem as if she was some sort of lifelike doll... Sayuri bowed to the old man then turned walking towards the woman named Sesiyu and bowed to her. Sesiyu bowed very low, and drew open the sliding door for Sayuri to walk through.

"Well then, shall we be on our way, Master Ryou?" Akiko said with an innocently mocking smile, she hoped it was okay that she joked around with him, I mean they had only just met, but she felt something with him... Akiko couldnt explain it, but it was there.
((I didnt know what to write. D= But there it is. ^^; ))

He put on a big cocky smirk as he picked up his katana, putting it where it belongs, and helped her stand up on her feet. "Lead the way, Lady Akiko." He said, stepping aside, out of her way. Such a frail and sweet girl. None like any other. Such a thing obviously came from an empire. He was kinda disappointed that he was going to end up taking her back.
((Awww . . . -^_^- This is gonna be so kawaii! whee ))

Akiko gave chuckle and a broad smile and said, "I would be glad to lead the way, except I only have a vague idea of where we're going..." And what she was was true, she knew it was somewhere North... Maybe. But that was the extent of her knowledge. She just hoped Ryou knew the way better than she did.
((Another short post. D= Ah well... They'll go longer...^^; ))

He gave a chuckle, picking up his belongings(I can't remember if i menchoned that b4 . . . oh well . . .) and his powerful twin katanas and put them at his waist(sp?). "Alright then," He said, starting to talk on towards the road. "Walk with me. It's not too far off." He stated.
(( sad darn, a short post for me too. Shall we skip to where they get into town?))
