Karen traveled from the dusty trail through the city square. She stopped in front of the gates to Al's mansion. Holding Minty in one arm, she brushed her together with her fingers. She also straightened her clothing out, hoping that she looked suitable enough to be meeting with the mayor. Karen then looked over her shoulder to see if Peter wasn't lost at all. She smiled when she saw him close by, turning her face back towards the manor. Karen now held Minty in both of her arms, taking a step forward into the cobblestones that lead towards the mansion. Each step she took, her boots clicked, echoing slightly. Karen finally made her way towards the steps of the building, ascending them and waiting by the door. She looked back to Peter, waiting for him to make his journey across the front yard as well.

Alphonse was now playing with one of the pens he left on his desk. His mind was slowly wandering over all the many small details on his city. Although the city was important, his mind didn't stay on the city much longer. He now found himself chewing on the end of the pen, while gazing out the window that was near him. Al watched as the clouds rolled around in the sky, sighing slightly. "It sure does seem like a nice day..." He spoke softly, his eyes slowly moving from the sky. They now wandered towards the objects that were moving, which he had spotted out of the corner of his eye. Al watched as his sister, Karen, made her way across his front lawn. He then watched as a male followed the same suit, making his way across the yard as well. "Hm, Karen and a visitor?" He questioned himself, "Must be the new doctor." Al rose from his seat from behind his desk. He made his way towards his front door, grabbing onto the handle effortlessly. Pulling it open, the door creaked, slowly opening for the two on his front steps now. The setting sun light entered into the mansion, dancing around the tiled manor hall. Al now stood in the open doorway, looking over his two new guests. Smiling briefly, "Hello sister, it's nice to see you so soon again. I see that you've brought a guest with you today. Why not you both come in and rest a bit. I'm sure you are both tired." The mayor smiled again, now moving out of the way of the doorway.

"Hi, nice to m-meet you. I'm Dr. Peter." He said studdering on the pronunciation of the M. He looked closely at Alphonse, a handsome well put together lean and tall figure. He seemed to be Peter's type of guy, a real charmer. Hopefully this charm would also turn into compatibility personally. He glanced over at Karen who was lounging on a couch nearby with her cute kitten at what seemed to be Al's desk. Peter felt something shift and move near his leg. It was his companion adventuring towards Karen to snuggle with her while the two young men talked together. She looked up at Karen with her big blue eyes and waited to see if she would pick her up.

Peter looked at the Mayor shyly and quickly scurried over towards the chair that appeared before him. Peter sat erect in his chair, he positioned himself so his legs were closed and hands resting on his lap. He opened up his mouth trying to spew out a few words. After a few seconds the right words were found and the right words were spewed out his mouth in quick succession. " No it's okay, the night is still young." He looked out the office window seeing the sun nearing the horizon. Peter smiled slightly " I'm fresh out of medical school and I needed a job, I looked around a little and found that they were rebuilding this city so I came in to be the town Doctor." He went into his knapsack and pulled out a few awards and certificates pertaining to the job he was seeking. He then pulled out a short resume showing his accomplishments as a resident in the nearby hospital at his school.

Alphonse chuckled softly as the man quickly made his way to the new found seat. Not hearing the words when Peter's mouth open, the mayor chuckled softly again. He moved a long strange of hair from his eyes, looking over Peter again. Al then nodded about the night statement. His eyes followed Peter's to the window, looking outside to the sun. When he heard Peter speak, he looked back to him. Al took in all the details that Peter laid out for him to sort. Nodding, "Good, good. These seem like some good qualifications. Congratulations on the accomplishments as well." The mayor looked them over quickly. Nodding again, "I'm sure you can handle the extensive searches on the personal we do as well. There was a slight mishap in the past, so we go through a stricter procedure, if you will." The mayor smiled as well, looking over at Peter.

Karen looked up from Minty who had just fell asleep. She pet Anna one last time before getting up. Karen watched over to the desk, bent down, and picked up Minty. She smiled to the two boys sitting at the desk, "Well, I am off. Pleasure meeting you Peter, and it's always nice seeing you Al. See you both around later." Karen pranced her way towards the manor door. She waved quickly to Anna, then waved to Al and Peter. She smiled one last time, before opening to door. Heading outside, Karen's hair playfully whipped around in the wind. The ajar door slowly blew shut, while Karen kept Minty in arms. Karen quickly came to the gate, opening it slowly, looking back at the manor one last time. Karen then quickly made her way through the gate, leaving Alphonse's manor behind for the time being.

Al stood up from his desk, placing his hands on his desk. Smiling to Karen, he gave her a small wave, "Pleasure seeing you again, sister. I hope to run into you again, of course!" Still smiling, he ran his hand along the desk, approaching the window next to his seat. Folding his arms, Al looked out the window, nodding as he listened to Peter. Alphonse watched as some birds playfully pecked at each other in the window sill. Placing a finger upon his chin, he still looked at the birds. He then smiled, "I'm sure you will be receiving the job. We don't actually have a professional doctor, and you show that you have some good criteria. I'll look over the files I have on you again one last time, and then get back to you. There should be no problems, of course." Turning to Peter, Alphonse smiled again, he walked past his seat, coming over to a filing cabinet. Stopping in front of it, Al began to open the drawers and shuffle through even more papers.
