Varnox could not stop smiling as they flew. They rose higher into the sky. The early afternoon sun shedding its light on the countryside, though most of it was blocked by the mountains. The warmth of the sun and the cool of the wind raged war all over his body. The smells of various herbs filled his nostrils telling him they were close to home. There was also a new unfamiliar smell in the air.
They touched ground on a small cliff near the peak of the mountain. "Somethings different, there's someone else here." he said with a look of caution. "Master, I'm home. I found a new friend."
An old man dressed in a plain hand woven dull brown robe walked slowly to the entrance. He carried with him an aura of wisdom. "You have returned with food and made a friend. Well done Varnox." He said in a slow calm manner. "Did you water the herd and vegetable garden?"
"Of course I did master." He replied proud of his accomplishments.
"Did you also remember to gather what was ready?" The old mystic asked
"I forgot." varnox said losing the smile he had carried from the valley. "I'll go and fetch..."
"Wait," the old mystic interrupted "You should introduce me to your new friend Wisteria first."
"This is Wis... how did?" he stumbled out then smiled. "This is my new friend Wisteria. She helped gather some of the deer. Can she stay for supper?"
"That is a question for her, not me." the old mystic replied. "Wisteria, I am Warprinse the mystic. You are welcome to stay as long as you like. Please tell me about yourself as Varnox goes to fetch some herbs and vegetables."

Wisteria met the mystic's wise eyes as she settled on her haunches before him. Her wings folded back, but instead of directly responding to him, she turned her head and loyally responded to Varnox first. "I would be delighted to share your meal, as I have very little to return to but an empty cave that contains only secrets and past mysteries. As long as you will have me, I would appreciate if I could stay." She smiled as Varnox, then turned her attention to the mystic, knowing that she may have disprespected hom, but not being able to help her already-growing loyalty towards Varnox. "As you know, my name is Wisteria. It is not a name given unto me by my parents, nor by any friends, for I have had none to be remembered till this morn, but a name chosen by myself for myself, from the flowering vines that hid my sleeping life from dangers unknown. I woke early this morn in a small cave, with naught but a knawing hunger to know that I was connected to this world." She raised her head proudly, continuing, "I know not who I am, where I come from, nor why I had slept in that cave, comatose, for such a long period of time. I know not how long I slept, but I sense it was for a very long time. I have no prior memories, no past to speak of, no clues to my identity, but it shall not hold me back. I feel promise in the air, in the future, in my heart and wings, for they are connected, and in my mind. The path before me is clouded, yet clearer than ever before." She eyed the mystic, and her expression was hard but strong as she waited motionlessly for any answer. She wondered in her mind if she could follow whereever Varnox had gone...something about vegetables...

Varnox smiled at her then left the cave. He flew swiftly down to an upper section of the valley. There he gathered some ripe carrots, potatoes a few tomatoes. He trotted carefully over to the rosemary bush to gather some needles. He flew over to the side of the cliff to gather blackberries. He picked only what was ripe and ready tossing everything onto his newly formed disc. Once the ripe ones were picked he flew half way up the cliff to a dark musky cave filled with delicious bugs and mushrooms. Once he gathered a good handful he flew back up to the cave.
“Your past is clouded from you. I can sense that from here. I am not sure if you have blocked it out or if you are under a spell. With time, I may be able to help you unlock your mind. You are free to stay with us as long as you wish. The rules here are simple. Every morning we meditate. During the day we do our chores, train and play. In the evening we reflect on the day. Perform any tasks I ask of you to the best of your ability and never lie to me. Can you follow these rules?” the mystic asked.
The head of a hatchling dragon peaked around the corner. “Is she going to stay with us?” asked As’Carnon.

Wisteria listened intenly, and then slowly nodded, commiting thr rules to memory. "Yes, I can and shall follow the rules. My memories are not an issue for me, more of a curiosity." She saw something move at the corner of her eye. It was a small dragon, a hatchling, who spoke in a chirping voice. Wisteria's eyes softened, and she knelt befor ethe dragon child. "Hello, there, little one," She smiled warmly, softness filling her heart, "My name is Wisteria, and it does seem as though I'll be staying for a while, at least. What might your name be, youngling?" She held out her forehand, wondering if her would accept her invitation to come nearer. Her heart warmed, and she felt a distant longing, a yearning for something she couldn't quite explain.

"Welcome to our den Wisteria." the mystic said.
As'Carnon walked closer to Wisteria. I'm As'Carnon. You smell like dear.
Varnox flew into the den with his cloud disc tailing behind him. "I'm ba..." he started to say when he noticed As'Carnon. "You hatched!?" when I left you were still in your egg. Welcome to the world of light."

Wisteria was smiling at the hatchling, warmly, affectionately, motherly, hen Varnox retuned, bringing berries, fruits, and bugs upon his floating disk. Wisteria looked up at him, her emotions showing stongly in her clear green eyes. She felt a turmoil raging within her, right where her heart was. She wanted hatchlings of her own, but she wasn't sure of her strange yet powerful feelings. She knew what she wanted, yet how to get to that point baffled her. She turned to As'Carnon, who was different from her and Varnox, but she felt a strong protective surge within her that quivered to the tips of her wings. "Of course I smell like deer, young one. I have been hunting, and perhaps we shall be able to enjoy some tonight, although that is really up to the master." She turned to Varnox again, "Do you need any help, my dear?" The words came out before she could stop them, and she blinked in surprise, not having intended the familiarity, and afraid that it might distance him from her, although she was happy that she had said it.

"Sure I could some help with the deer." varnox responded naively. The master is gifted with making food a celebration of life and flavor. Varnox then handed her a cloud tendril so she could help take it to the kitchen. "The kitchen is just around the corner. As soon as your ready As'Carnon, I'd like to see your skills." he said with a friendly smile.
"You're on." As'Carnon said with confidence.
"Children." the mystic said. "Lunch first, then we can train together." The mystic then walked calmly walked into the kitchen. He focused his energy and prepared to charge the lunch with balanced energy.
"Come on Wisteria. He doesn't like to be kept waiting" he said with a smile. He then turned slightly too much and his tail hit her side gently.

***I think that Varnox's adult form is in the pickup post, as is As'Carnon's hatchling stage, so's you know! heart ***
Wisteria inwardly laughed with relief that her speech blunder hadn't been noticed, althoguh she was slightly wistful of the possibley good reaction it could have had. She cocked her head at the mention of making each meal a celebration, wondering at what new things she would learn just about eating, especially seeing as she had been completely satisfied before with simply shredding into her meals, hot, raw, and messy. Grasping the cloud tendril that was given to her, Wisteria watched the exchange between Varnox and As'Carnon. Before she knew it, they were heading into the cave, and Varnox's tail brushed against her side as he turned, sending a strange and altogether unexpected quiver deep within her, resounding through her heart and to the tips of all her feathers. Such a deliciously warm tingle must mean something very important, she thought, considering her reaction to the light, accidental tap he had caused. Belatedly, she remembered that the dragon who had caused such a strange feeling within her had also said something and was now waiting for a response. "Oh, right. Yes, never fear, I am coming," She started forward, eyeing This dragon who suddenly had so much influence in her emotions, curiously thinking if she might have the same influence over him...

***I do know. Their updated in my den. But thanks...***
With Wisteria's help, they brought in the cloud disc, lowered it to the preperation table and let the master prepare the food. "Would you like a tour of the den Wisteria?" Varnox asked in an excited tone.
"I wanna give her the tour." As'Carnon said as he rushed over to her and started tugging on the tip of her wing.
The mystic simply prayed and meditated for 10 minutes before touching any of the food.
"We could both give her the tour." Varnox replied
As'carnon ignored his big brothers offer. "Come this way and see the main room." he said tugging harder on her wing.

Wisteria was in awe of the spacious yet comfortably cozy den that they had, and was eager to see the rest of her new home. She was about to give an emphatic yes to Varnox when As'Carnon began to play tug-o-war with her wing, eager to show her around himself. Wisteria laughed, her voice running over her enjoyment in bell-clear notes of happiness. She turned towards Varnox. "Well, it seems I must go with As'Carnon, before my wing becomes more a part of him than me, but I would love for you to accompany me!" She was pulled off-balance, and she half stumble-walked after As'Carnon, grinning helplessly at Varnox. Playing along with As'Carnon, she squealed like a captured maiden. "Oh, brave Varnox! Save me from this terrible beast, I pray! Hurry, my saviour, afore I am lost before the sharp teeth of this vicious...beast! Help!" She laughed again, still stumbling sideways after The much smaller hatchling...

Once Wisteria agreed to go with As'Carnon, he smiled, stuck his tongue out at Varnox in a teasing manner and started to led her to the main living room where his egg shell still existed.
"I fully intend to follow you Wisteria." Varnox said as he shock his head at As'Carnon's teasing.
When Wisteria started shouting for help and called As'Carnon a terrible beast, he puffed his chest up and played into the role. He tried to look as big and as intimidating as possible. "You will never catch us in time. She will see my egg shell and you can't stop me!" he exclaimed as he pulled harder on her wing trying to get her to run faster. The egg shell was only 30 feet away and they had to get there first.
"Never fear," Varnox said in a slightly deeper voice "for I shall save you from this beast." He jumped forward using his legs and wings to quickly catch up and perhaps cut them off. If Wisteria struggled, he could cut them off in time. If she ran with As'Carnon, then he might not make it.

Wisteria quickly sized up the situation, all the whil struggling to maintain a beset upon exression while laughing. She paused for a moment, letting As'Carnon continue pulling, tipping herself over. "Oh, oh, I'm...I'm falling!"She said in a voice that said clearly in its tone that she wasn['t really falling, she was dropping herself upon the ground. "Help me, for this dangerous creature has pulled too hard upon my wing, and I shall be dragged along the ground soon, for I cannot keep up with his speedy descent into the dreaded...main room...!" She then collapsed onto the ground, her side beginning to ache from poorly withheld laughter...

Varnox ran faster and started to breath out fog to help catch her before she hit the ground, until he noticed she was fake falling. He slowed down and stopped. He just started at her with his head half turned to the side. He was instantly torn between saving her and watching her to see what she does next. As'Carnon took advantage of Varnox's pause to try and drag Wisteria into the main room. "Eerrrrrrraaaaagggggah" came his grunted struggle. He pulled and pulled and all Wisteria did was laugh. He ran to her other side and tried pushing her with his head and arms. "Rrrrraaaaahhhhhhgggghh" he grunted again pushing with all his might. Varnox was only a few feet away, yet he still just watched held back by his curiosity.

Wisteria could not help it. She burst out laughing, her breath coming in gasps between her laughter. She pleaded for mercy, her ribs aching. "Help! BWHAHAHAHA! OOfAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Oh NO, he's Coming BAHAHAHAHAHAHACK!" As'Carning tried in vain to budge her, and she rolled over, Practically in tears. She couldn't have stood even if she had wanted to, she was too weak from lack of air caused by laughing, and her ribs ached, and her wings shook with her unbridled mirth...

Varnox could not hold back any longer. He lost all desire to be curious and fell victim to the infectious nature of laughter. He laughed and slowly lumbered over to Wisteria. At first As'Carnon tried to push Varnox away, then he too fell victim and laughed. Now all three were in a fit of uncontrolled laughter. Soon Varnox joined the sore ribs club and tried to stop laughing. He found to his dismay and delight that he could not stop. Every time he managed to slow down the sight of the other two would leave him where he started. As'Carnon quickly fell to the ground rolling on his back with enthusiastic out bursts of joy. He was trying his best to be the loudest.
