Krissi-Chaos That...... Is an excellent question! Also, I think bone marrow would be easier to test than a shard, but be it scraping or drilling, a sample would still damage the skeleton, so the guys that own the remains would have to be willing...

Krissi-Chaos Technically speaking, they don't own them, they stole them. For someone to "Steal," something, they have to first belong to someone else. Since the facility dealing with animals is disavowing any knowledge of this creature, it didn't belong to anyone. If, "Took," is too informal a term, then, "Appropriated," could be used. You can't really call it "Stealing," though.

Keep in mind, that the d20 was present to ensure my nerdiness...Though if they don't have Dungeons & Dragons in your country (though the very idea is pure heresy) then the joke may have been overlooked.

Matasoga Keep in mind, that the d20 was present to ensure my nerdiness...Though if they don't have Dungeons & Dragons in your country (though the very idea is pure heresy) then the joke may have been overlooked. Oh, I'm sure there are Australians who play it. Five or six, maybe. The majority of people, like myself, are clueless when it comes to such a topic.

Matasoga Ledzie_Campbell I just laughed a bit when I heard people saying it was a de-shelled turtle. I don't think that it would look anything like a turtle if it were given a replacement.
I was severely disappointed when I watched the report with Jeff Corwin in it.

Come on now.... rolleyes
It's hind legs look nothing like those of a raccoon and it's tail was a bit too short.
I only wish there was something else in the photo for a size comparison.
=/ You would probably enjoy the debbate in the Minions, even if it is just me explaining how this thing isn't a pig. A pig? mad D
Wow, some people need to turn on Animal Planet more often.
The only way it looks remotely pig like is how it looks like it had been in a smoke house for a while.
But this thing was supposedly in the water for 6 days.

=/ It does look like a pig, except that the mouth could not possibly belong to a pig and I have photo reference to prove that much.

Well, since I quickly grew tired of reading through some of the arguments about Alruna, I decided to go google through some skull images. Felines, canines, rodents, swine, and mustelids mainly. I went back and forth between the image of the monster and the ones found on google, focusing mainly on the dental structures and the overall shape of the skull, and really didn't see to much a resemblance to anything. It's a little hard to decide how the front of the skull is shaped from the angle of the photo and with the possibility that the left side of the creature's skull is covered in sand. I came across this article, which was updated on the 8th, saying that there was some cryptic post on a blog about the upcoming film, Splinterheads, saying 'We have the Montauk Monster'. In there, they say that there are only 2 slightly different photos taken. How do I know which one I'm looking at? o .o Even if this all turns out to be just a marketing ploy for the film, I'm not going to be upset that it isn't real. I have a lot of fun trying to figure out what things like this are.
