Shift & Gears Body Shop should be a medical office or a skins shop.

Maybe a Medical Office/Plastic S. could be just called The Body Shop
Shifts and Gears does sound a little provocative...maybe a dating service for robots?

I suppose Aekea Public Library is a bit dull for a name but gets the point across. Unless it's a memorial library then it could be named after a founder or some such person.

you might want to ask Monk about the library's name. She works in it, doesn't she? Perhaps she has a name she'd like to call it.
I'm between a few names for the gallery (still!) I rather like Sketches & Scribbles and Optical Art Gallery.
btw, we should name some place "Master Cylinder" & we need a post office, we do have a mailman after all.

iSummon A zoo for robot animals? c: ... The Zoo needn't be for robotic animals alone - Perhaps Aekea could have natural animals, as a source of inspiration. Artists need inspiration, biggrin .
I had thought that Aekea, being an artistic and industrial city, would be cultured. They wouldn't flaunt it like Durem, but they'd be open to new ideas.
A thriving city could require Graveyards, and/ or Crematoriums. A rather grim prospect, but someone might have fun with it.
Filtration/ Water purification facilities? Sewerage treatment? Import and Export regulators? Emergency services? Scrapheaps? Heh, those are just a few ideas. I feel that I've worn out my privileges, ha-ha.

those are a lot of great ideas! I agree about the zoo---It'd be really cool to have a bunch of robotic animals, but you can't ignore the non-robotic ones either.

As promised PQ, here's the write-up for Aekea Hills.
Quote: Aekea Hills Sanatorium was a large, towering building, of grey stone, black steel, and relfective windows. It sat atop a hill, looking like a dour lord, keeping it's people under control. The building itself was a mix of old and new. Built inside an old, grey stone, castle the newer, sleek, black steel addtions jutted from the building at seemingly random angles, as if some giant had simply stabbed them into the old castle. A dark cloud hung around Aekea Hills, even on the brightest of days it looked dark and menacing. Rumors of ghosts and demons flow like water out of the building. It is, unfortunatly, the one and only Asylum in Gaia, so the families to the insane either suck it up and send them there or try and cure the insane themselves.. It seems to have only one employee, the strangely happy Jotun girl Anna who takes care of the few patients. She, however, stays out of most of the building and keeps all the patients in the North Wing, saying that the rest of the building 'gives her the creeps'

Well, I decided to go for a walk down to the city block, and lo and behold I saw a pretty impressive looking building. So I decided to take a quick sketch, photoshop in some lights and volia. Not sure what building it can be used for, so I'll let everyone choose. Comments would be great.
