Well, he still hasn't found an apartment. At first it was just because he didn't have a car. Now we do, not a car, but a jeep. At any rate, its a vehicle. Now he's having a hell of a time finding an apartment that is acceptable and getting people to call him back. Its getting ridiculous and I'm getting pissed. I understand, lately he's been having CQ (what does that even stand for?!) quite a bit. Eff those 24 hour shifts. And when he's done with it he's beat. But, s**t. It shouldn't take THIS long. I know he's trying his best. But still....
Apparently, when he does find an apartment, the Army will hook me up with a plane ticket, and get all our stuff packed up and ship it. At least, this is what was told to me when I went to the base close to us. But, I don't know.
I'm having trouble figuring out how we're going to live when all of our stuff is packed up. Do they allow us more bags on the plane for plates, bedding, etc. when I leave or what?
Also, theres a HOPS close to where I live and I can get back and forth from Alaska to home for about $90 as long as theres Space A.(thank you recruiter!) But, I'll be traveling civvie for the inital move.
How big of an apartment are you looking for, I'll go to teh office and ask here if they have any openings, I'm pretty sure they do.
I know I seem like I'm pushing you to the apartment complex we are in, but honestly, when we moved up here, we had the same problems, Jillians Square and Sophie's Plaza were the only places with decent apartments available.
heres a link to their website, you can look at floor plans on their sites.
http://www.jilliansquare.com/anyways, you get an airmatress, a cheap pot or pan, and paper plates.....
