Shanks, Raijo.

I wish I had a glowy object in my dream.
;-;
Maybe you'll come back to it one day, Pipe. I did with one dream because I failed my final task (It wasn't an SH dream though).

Aw, shyute, man. My dreams never bring me back. And I miss out on VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION when they do that, too! D: Always RIGHT when I'm about to find out something I've been dying to know in the dream, I wake up and never figure out what it was supposed to be.

I've had many glowy things in my dream. x3 Dreams are lovely things. I had a friend who could remember every single dream she had, every single night, for years.... and even if she had like three or four during the same night, she remembered ALL of them.

D: Tell you a secret: it can be stressful.

ObSCURE wrath: That is an upsetting dream because of the ideas and imagery in there. I've actually come to find that you can feel pain in your dreams. I've been slapped in my dreams before, and woke up still feeling the sting. xp The brain can simulate pain on its own like that. It's like self hypnosis, if you ask me. ninja

One thing I remind myself about dreams is that when you wake up, all that happened is no longer true (which can be good and bad). So if someone was angry, when you wake up, they are not angry anymore. Etc, yes?

In that sense, I think of dreams as excellent story fodder. x3 Even my most disturbing dreams I've woken up thinking to myself, "That would be one frikkin' AWESOME storyline."

sweatdrop Or maybe I'm just bizarre.

Still, dreams need not hurt you. ninja They can actually help you to better understand things about yourself and situations you are involved in. Or they can be oddly entertaining. o_O;

I've had some f'd up dreams, but the only ones I have a hard time going to sleep afterwards, are the dreams where I lose my gf via death/breaking up/moving etc. etc......... I usually can't sleep after those, i think the terms for it are that they make a person "emotionally unstable", not emo, but it makes me so I don't want to sleep, for fear the dream might come back.... its more of a sorrowful-pain than a physical pain. It usually takes me a couple hours before my body finally gets over the shock-impact of the dream....

>.' True dat.

In that regard, I am very weird. x___x; Things that shock me, don't tend to have a lasting effect on me for very long, these days.

I must be lacking life experiences. ninja

Actually, I see dreams like that in a different sort of way. After waking up, I would be thrilled that (if I had one) my boyfriend actually wasn't dead/broken up with me/moving.

The dream ending, would mean the opposite were true. ninja It'd be like a whole new appreciation for the fact that said spouse was there.

On the other hand, dreams about events that are really going on can give you better insight. If you're having dreams about something, it's either completely random, or really important. @_@;

That's when you wip out some Tarot Cards. rofl

thats the only joy i get from those dreams, is knowing things are better than they seemed. it does give a new level of appreciation, and normally it makes me anxious to want to talk to my gf the next morning badly.

Just last night I had a dream where I was in school... which is odd. But anyway I was going to leave, but went the wrong way and I thought "How could I go the wrong way? I know my way around!" But then things started getting rusty looking and stuff and I didn't know where I was. Then I saw this weird room with a big spiral path going up, like the one in Silent Hill 4. And I saw other people in there so I went in thinking it might take me outside somehow. But it was creeping me out so I went back. But then there was this weird guy standing in front of the door so I asked him to move but he didn't say anything. So I tried to go back the other way instead and risk the spiral ramp. But he all of the sudden appeared in front of me. So I tried to run for the door again but he stopped me again.

Then I ended up waking up because my brother was puking. gonk

I didn't think the brain would make you feel pain xD. Well, it was very strange cause i hurt for a couple days afterwards and my mom asked me why i was walking funny and i told her in my dreams a very big lady hit me with an axe and she just stared at me and said "okay...". o_O;

But, i had the dream again before at least 4 times after that. Of course not every night in a row, just when my boyfriend looked sad...or should i say guilty about something..but, I've lost sleep having that dream. Every single time it was the same.

But, I now know it was kinda like a warning because, my friend that hung herself in my dreams, She was having really bad problems. She got drunk at school And then got exspelled. Her Mother stole her check and spent it all and then ran into a table and called the cops on her telling them her daughter threw the table at her. So she went to jail for 9 months.

And September of last year, I found out my boyfriend was cheating on me with at least 14 people on the internet. I should have figured it out sooner, Normally when i have a dream it's either a nightmare or it's trying to tell me something either big or small is going to happen..

lulz

I've known people to wake up with scars after dreams. ;D
There are many interesting fascates of dreams, it is completely controlled by the mind. Sooooo, if you really were to believe you were hurt in a dream, your brain might simulate the feeling on your body.

sad I'm sorry that those things happened...

That's the frusterating thing about dreams: you don't figure out what they mean until it's more or less too late. > <;;;

Yeah, the brain alone can make you feel all kinds of things. Your brain can even cause you to go blind under stress, when there's absolutely nothing physically wrong with your eyes at all. People underestimate how powerful that organ is. ninja

Necro-Chromatic: rofl *wewt-nanny* Exactly, mon. Amazing as it it, that is also very true. ninja

the strongest known ability a person can produce in a dream... is to realize oneself is dreaming and actually take over...... Many people claim it is easy to do, but you're brain, the very organ that you use to control you're actions, is animating you in the dream, so to overcome the brain and control yourself, you must break a strong boundary and cross that tool in your own self-desire. Once you gain control of urself, it is EXTREMELY hard to maintain control...... I can only recall 1 time ive ever managed to actually take control of myself.... it was like... a constant struggle the entire time to maintain focus.... like this monster was chasing me, and I had to struggle to force myself to run faster versus my brain trying to make me slow down intentionally..... when i woke up, my chest felt heavy as if it had been under a lot of stress or continuous strain

It's not your fault at all,hon. Thank you for the info, i'll keep it in mind before i go to sleep that way i don't have walk funny anymore when i get hurt in my dreams...or try not to dream lol.

My friend is out of jail now finally and My bf and i are trying to fix our relationship. It's just very hard. I know, But i'm slow on figuring anything out >_<;

But after all that stuff happened i quit having that dream, The last time i had that dream was back in march after my friend went to jail. I haven't had it for months. I've only had one bad dream since then.

Oh my god have you ever, woke up and be awake, but you can't move at all? You just have to lay there until you can move again? I've had so many of those when i slept in school. I'd wake up, Being fully awake, my eyes are open but, i try to move my are or try to sit up but can't. Then start to freak out and you try to speak but can't?? And you try to blink but either your eyes won't blink or close when you want them to?? I hate that! it freaks me out everytime.
