He smiled and pulled her to a couch, his arms forming an inescapable cage around her.
She groaned, sitting on the same couch, close to her brother and switching on the TV. Shadow came and sat at Alice's feet; two more wolves, one a soft gray, the other a bright white with flecks of gray across its coat, came and curled up next to Shadow. Alice smiled and pet them both.

Alice stopped flipping when she came to Animal Plant. Animal Cops Houston was on. The wolves perked up, watching.

He smiled. About halfway through, as he predicted, Alice got angry and flipped the channels and rested on the Discovery Channel, watching a survival show.
