Liadan laid there stairing up into the moonlit night for a long time as many thoughts went through her head, before finally slipping off into a deep sleep.

Sohalia groused against the suddenly bright light hitting her eyes and tried to turn away from it when she realized her entire body was still sore. She groaned under its complaints and tried to remember what happened to make her so hurt. When her mind finally stopped its sleepy wanderings to remember fully what transpired, her eyes popped open, even with the bright morning light cascading in on them to make her eyes sparkle. "Li.... Li... ad... an...?" Her voice was very tense and still hoarse, she needed water, though she felt she had drank her body's weight yesterday, her voice was dry still.

Liadan's eyes hurt from the bright light and she covered them with a paw, slipping back to sleep. She faintly heard Soholia call her, but if felt like a dream and she mumbled, "It's too early mom" in a sleepy, dreamy voice before rolling over.

Sohalia smiled in amusement, her daughter truly was home. She leaned over and gently nudge-nuzzled Liadan, trying to make her wake and remember the events of the night before. "You must.... wake.... daughter." She let her head rest on her paws once more, watching the sun bathe her daughter in light. She was changed somehow... aside from the wings, and it made her so proud of her daughter.

Liadan struggled to wake and stretched all her limbs. shaking her head clear of the morning sleep she suddenly jumped up. "Mother!" she spun around and started licking and kissing "I finally found you!!"

Sohalia smiled tiredly and gratefully. She stretched each limb in turn trying to get the soreness out of them. "Where... have you been?" Sohalia asked in bewilderment and grinned, "Mind helping your old mother to get a drink?" She nuzzled Liadan lovingly and sat up a bit, working her way to getting up. She was fine mostly, but tired and sore for sure.

Liaden grabbed a large leaf and run it to the stream, returning with the leaf full of water. She sat down as her mother drank and related all that had happened. "I'm not really sure. the last think I remember was taking care of Anubis and then feeling the land shake. When I awoke I was floating upon those clouds near the peaks over there." she pointed to the highest mountain tops to the northeast. I had these wings, and my coat had changed colors. I've been looking for the rest of you for what must have been weeks"

Sohalia drank from the leaf gratefully, "Thank you Liadan... That is quite the tale. We felt the same coming and fled trying to find out homeland. We... we couldn't find you and didn't wait. I'm so sorry, Liadan.... daughter of my heart." She looked down and sighed. "We found our family where your Uncle and I grew up." Sohalia looked into the sky towards the clouds, "Just there, in that one cloud that never moves. We... we were all stripped of our wings..." She choked on the words a bit, not having spoken of the incident to anyone since its happening. "They said we needed to learn a lesson, but that my own lesson would be hardest won." Her eyes grew distant and somber, a rare serious and sorrowful moment for Sohalia.

Liadan couldn't make much sense out of what her mother was saying. "what ever the lesson may be, together as a family we surely will be able to learn it. What of everyone else? Chise and Astraeus? and Uncle Sirius?"

Sohalia smiled at her wise daughter, "Indeed. Chise is lost to us, the dear heart slept so deeply we could not wake her. Astraeus and your Uncle are both here, though... they've made friends quite quickly here." She gave a somewhat bitter grin, though she was happy for them both, she could feel them distancing themselves from her.
"Astraeus is also a full grown Tae now. And... they've both also lost their wings. Though more so for supporting my decisions than their own actions." She gave a small sigh.

Liadan sighed deeply, "It would had been good to have a sister in these lands. But it is good to hear I do still have a brother and uncle. And it's good to hear they have found friends as well. I'm sure all of you shall gain your wings agian soon enough... although I am still unsure why I have gained them..."

Sohalia was quite perplexed at Liadan's wings as well, even more so at her uncertainty at how she gained them, "Do you not remember anyone approaching you? Perhaps an ancestor came to help bestow them upon you?" She tilted her head trying to think of any other explanation.

"Truethfully I really don't remember. How could an ancestor help with anything?? They are still alive somewhere?" Liadan was still very confused and just wanted to rest and feel at home once agian. She looked around curiously, "where do you call home mother?

Sohalia nodded listening, not really sure what to make of it, "Your ancestors do have the power to call upon the magics in this world to take or gift wings if your soul in deserving or not. I know not how to prove my worth to them in this land... I suppose I came back damaged somehow?" She motioned her head in the direction of the cave, "Just there. It was the only decent sized shelter we'd found for a long while that night. I do prefer something a bit loftier though I wonder if that's necessary now?"
Sohalia stretched a bit more then got to a seated, upright position of a kind. She still didn't look steady quite yet.

Liadan gave Sohalia a warm nuzzle, "Maybe by being the normal loving mother that you are?"
She looked over at the cave, "It looks much colder and damper than our tree was. perhaps it is best to try and find something farther up off the ground mom."
