Tood A contest thread. I'de make it but I can't think of any contest ideas right now, and I'm not organized enough to be in charge of such a thread sweatdrop Ooh me likes idea. And gold or items would be a nice little handout or prize, and the whole concept isn't as illegal as it is on neopets. How about an avatar contest of some kind - perhaps with a spending limit to increase fairness for newer members? Or a banner/arts contest of some kind would be a good idea - something for people to put in their siggies. Do we have any volunteers - particularly of the newly appointed crew - to organize contests?

Long posts get more gold but you aren't allowed to make long bump posts. idea Poll whoring - You get 10g per poll you do. But there is a limit on how many polls you are allowed to do. idea Donating to gaia - When you donate to gaia you get a sealed envelope. At the end of the month the envelope changes so you can open it. You have the choice of selling it unopened, opening it and wearing one of the items (choice of two) for a while, then selling it if you want or keeping it for inflation to work its magic. A uninflated donation item usually goes for around 5k. idea Fishing - If you are good at fishing you can sell your fish. Get grade F bait for the first 3 times you go fishing each day, because the first 3 times per day it doesn't make any difference what bait you use. It is easiest to catch fish in Basskin lake, but these fish sell the cheapest. idea Exchange - Get a shop (400g) and buy things cheap and sell them for a higher price. You need to know how much things are worth and spend a lot of time looking for bargins in the exchange though. idea Charity - You have to create a thread in the charity forum with an aim in mind. You will have to spend time making the thread look good and bump it a lot before people will start donating. Your account usually has to have a lot of posts in it and be a certain age so people know they aren't donating to a mule account. idea Sell art - You can either do commissions or set up an art shop. Art can be sold for a lot but you have to be good at art, do what people want and have a well set out shop (thread) idea Lotto/Art contests - These are pretty self explanitary. You can win a lot, but you arent that likely to win. They are held by normal (if rich) users. idea Gambaling - The casino is located in gambino island. You don't actually win gold but you can sell tickets or use tickets to buy items in the prize store. idea Events - Ther is three types of random event. Pink links give you gold. Blue/pink gift boxes give you an item and trunks give you an item. You know you have an event if your avatar has a look around bubble in the top left. You may also see the pink link (click on it) or giftbox/trunk floating around (click on it). Thats all I can think of just now. As you can see different ways suit different people. Well done, Aisa! I'm sure you won't mind if I duplicate this post and sticky it? I'll credit to you, as well. Or you could just make this into a new thread yourself and I could sticky it, so it'd already be credited to you?

Guide to Gaia is a possiblity but if anyone can think of anything better... Edit: I have more homework than I thought. I'll do it tomorrow.

Looking forward to the thread : D I've seen some like it in the chatterbox and it actually worked out very nicely and fairly biggrin Depends on how low you want to go. 5k is fairly low but useable. 10k might even be okay, if we give everyone some time to prepare. Pricing would ahve to be based on stores, except in the case of events items and donation items, which would have to go by avereage marketplace value. Okay, Aisa, anytime you can is fine.. you could call it something as simple as: How to make gold on Gaia - that about sums it up.

On the Gaian Avatar Simulator (Or the GAC) It would make it so you can design an avatar without actually spending any gold, so everyone would be fair.

Oh, cool, yeah, that would work better. I guess we would have to have both options though, sim and actual avatar, for those items the sim can't display.

Completely fair, gievn it works for everyone. You can design whatever you like without worry of cost. Though the simulators leave out a lot of newer items. I also like the idea of a graphics contest of some kind. Banner button, logo, etc. We can of course have both, eventually.
