Alyss silently cursed to herself. She had barely got back to her tower when a messenger arrived from the earth island. "A contest? This has something to do with what that preistess said." A smiled crossed her face as she remembered the poor little preistess that found herself in the wrong place. She wished more than anything to shove his invitation back in his face. Sighing she knew she probably shouldn't, well I guess it depends on finding a suitable representative. She could not attend and baden to was fobbiden. She knew of very few she would be willing to choose. Shaking her head she sat down on a chair by the window to think.

Rin decided that instead of going to give her answer straight away she would pay a small visit to Alyss to see if she too had gotten the same laughable invitation. The island of darkness gave to a cold wind that brought several snow flakes along with it collecting in one place as Rin started to form within it cold blanket. After Rin appeared the wind stopped and the snow flakes began to melt, but it didn't matter to Rin she was here to talk to Alyss and called out with a snicker as she looked around at the complete and utter darkness around, such a miserable place no wonder Alyss was the goddess of this place. "Alyss where are you hiding?"

Raising her head from where it had lain on her arms she scowled. "Dammit Rin." Sighing she stood up and called the darkness around her to transport her to where Rin was. "What do you want?"

Rin grinned and gave Alyss a mocking look before chuckling as she took a few steps foward, a small trail of snow following after her as she appraoched, what looked like a very sleepy Alyss. "Aww im sorry, did i wake you?...never mind, i was wondering did you get an invitation to island of earth about some tournament?" Rin really didn't care if she had woken her or not, it just wasn't in Rin to give a damn about anything, the fact that she was even curious about this was amazing in itself.

Alyss raised her hand to quiet Rin, she was watching through the cat and was not liking what she saw. Glancing up she smiled at Rin. "Would you like to have some fun? I know you have been wanting to get back at him since he cheated the last time you fought. Well now's a chance to get back at him in more ways than one." Concentraiting on the cat again she frowned. "You will need to go now and if you seesome ink on him do me a favour and destroy it." Smiling she began to leave.

Rin muttered as she thought back to her little fight with Beryll, she would have won had it not been for his damn sleeping dust. The very fact that he would even think of using such a move was cowardice in her books and made her clanch her fists in a silent rage as she glanced at Alyss. Alyss obviously wanted something from this otherwise she would not have asked, and had it not been for the fact that she wanted another go at Beryll, she would have just shrugged it off and told Alyss to do it herself. But her own pride was put into place and now she wanted to do this. "I'll destroy whatever black bottle he caries, but afterwards you are going to tell me why?" She gave Alyss no time to reply before a flurry of snowflakes covered her body and the cold winds whisked her away to the island of earth.

"Ah, darkness, nothing could serve to be better then the absence of light." Max thought to herself as she walked the abandoned road to peace. This road of course was just a figure of speech however. The road was actually just a path through the woods and would prove to be relaxing at a later time. The light gust of wind passing by running it's warm fingers over her skin and through her hair. The light rustle of trees and the smell of wood. It all served it's purpose, even if this world was infact ruined. That's probably why she was drawn to it so heavily years ago.
Her long black hair was braided this day so that it had less of a chance to pick up the rubble of the world around her. Small strands of it came lose though around her face and nicely framed it for all to see. Her eyes were a deep and dark black, void of most emotion and hard to read to say the least. She was skinny and also rather tall standing at five feet and nine inches. Her clothing being of a most particular black leather and lined with buckles and straps. Her hands were folded behind her back as she walked easily and lazily through the dark woods. Her black lips randomly pinched together now and then from certain thoughts.
Her skin was a most soft milky white and she would warm it by rubbing her finger tips upon her cheek, since that and her finger tips were the only skin exposed to the outside world. She was after all a very private individual. Her hands were gloved though with fingerless black gloves and her finger nails were liked everything else on her body, black.
At the time she had started out for this little walk, she had not been travelleing anywhere inparticular but now it seemed that she was heading back to the dark tower. Which was her current place of residence. Her steps were often silent as that was just the way she was brought up to walk. Even with the heavy black boots she wore, she could make it through even the quietest and smallest of places unheard, and if lucky, unseen.

She walked up the tower steps but stopped at the top and slowly turned around. Her black gaze scanned the horizen and took in all of decrepitness. How did one world fall into darkness while another florished in the light? They always said thought that light gave life and darkness gave death. She supposed that's why most of them here were dealiers in the darkest pits of hell. They gambled their soul for power, well, let them.
She turned around and opened the heavy iron set door. She moved inside and then pulled it shut as quietly as she could. She was not one to judge though, because she dealt with the dealings of hell to. She followed every order to the point and never, as long as she had life in her darkened body, gave up.
She moved up to her room and walked inside of it quickly. It was black with heavy set black curtains over the window. The darker, the better. This world was the only world she could walk anywhere and never have to wear her sash. She had some luck a while ago at the island of fire, but it was always better at night. Though people got suspicious at night.
The room was furnished with a bed, and various dressers or desks, as well as a closet for clothes. The bed had silk black sheets on it as she found they were the most comfertable thing to sleep in. If she had to sleep, she was going to do it comfertably. The closet was filled with different weapons, her favorites though were proped up on special stands and were taken care. A black bladed scythe with a short black handle, about half an arms lenght which had a blood red ruby at the top as well as the bottome. The handle was then carved to twist down from the top to the bottom. The blade its self was etched with ivy vines. A peice she had made herself, for herself only. Another weapon was her bow. The wood a polished black and was done by carving in skulls and screaming faces. The arrows beside it were razor sharp and skillfully put together for the most deadliest accracy.

She sighed softly and slowly undid the straps that bounded her top together. Once it came open she slid off the top and set it on the bed. Underneath she wore a black hulter top but quickly put on a black sweater over it so that her arms and back were pretty much covered, though you could see through it. The black ivy vine tattoos, which weren't really tattoos, they were something she was born with, or so she lead people who saw them to believe. They streched all over her stomach, shoulders, and back, but also reached their vines up her neck and down around the tops of her legs. She set down on the bed, falling slowly backwards with her hands behind her head. She layed there they with her eyes shut and a melody going through her head, the one she could always here if she listened hard enough.

*baden walked over to an old bookshelf that was nearly filled with large leatherbound books. He selected one about the denizens of the nine hells and sat down in an old armchair to read through it. His shield guardian simply stood quietly in a corner.*

Max quickly grew board of resting, that's all she seemed to do now a days. She stood up slowly and took off her sweater, replacing it with her jacket and firmly fastening all the straps. She then moved to closet and chose a sword to practice with. All the weapons she used were made by her. Some were not quite as fancy as others, but they were all dependable.
She took the sword and it's sheath, swung it over her head and placed it on her back. She then left her room and walked through the hallways to a sutible trainging area..Upon passing several rooms she came to one with a huge...something in it..and Baden. She stood and peered in for a moment. She wasn't the speaking type but she didn't want to apper rude either. "Hello Baden..reading...again?" she asked..though she had nothing against those that read. She would have read more often if she could find a good book.

"I see then, well enjoy your book.." she said moveing off silently, now slightly swayed to a darker mood since the man would not answer her. Her thoughts were that he was just enjoying the book too much. She moved back to her room and gathered her two favorite weapons and her sash. She was going to go explore so she needed to be prepared.
She put the sword back into it's place and replaced it with a shaft of arrows and her bow on one shoulder. Her scythe she placed on her back underneath the shaft and bow, connect by a chain which took one flick of the finger to disconnect and place it back into her hand. She put the sash over her eyes and walk out of her room with ease. As she walked the darkness of her element surronded her and then she suddenly vanished.

*baden muttered something about today's youth being too impatient, as he didn't feel like he got enough time to reply. He finished reading what he wanted to read, and felt too lazy to get up and put the book back, so he used a minor spell to create an unseen servant. He let the servant replace the book and fetch him one on the Dark Speech, of which he spoke a smattering. He dismissed the servant and started reading again.*
