Well, that had to be a good sign that Rue was talking to him. He couldn't be completely failing at entertaining the guest if Rue didn't look irritated and was talking with him. There was even a smile on the man's face (though Remi wasn't quite sure how to analyze it, and so settled for just accepting it as a smile). Besides, Brad would be back soon, and then everything would return to its normal state. Equilibrium would be back, and Remi wouldn't be making a complete fool out of himself. Honestly, what else could Rue believe him to be but foolish and mentally slow? The heat on his cheeks was enough to make the rest of him melt into an embarrassed pile of goo. This man was going to hate him for the rest of his life, and he really wanted Rue to like him.

"Oh, well, I hope this play doesn't bore you too quickly. I'd love to see you around after the grand opening." At least now that Rue was talking, Remi was finding it easier to respond and keep conversation flowing. So, he wasn't completely failing, but what he said had made him embarrassed once again. That wasn't a sensible thing to say at all. Rue was really going to end up hating him. "Well, I was born in Colorado at my family's estate, so I guess that's where I would be from." His family had various other lodgings in different states, but he liked the Colorado one the best. It was roomy and peaceful, and no one would really demand anything of him when he was there. "We have llamas there, and horses... and a bunch of dogs." He smiled to himself at the memory, though there was a certain llama that had not liked him at all and they had had some nasty confrontations.

"Nah, not boring at all.. Well, so far." he was a little surprised when the blond said he would love to see Rue after the grand opening, he knew it was most likely just a formality for the hosts or even the entire staff here but he wasn't used to it. "Yeah.." he waved a hand at Remi as he spoke, "I'll be sure to drop by here after this thing." he had a hidden agenda. At last, Rue went closer to the host, giving up on just watching the scene outside and opting to get some rest from all this.

"Lots of animals. And...llamas?" he looked at the other, his amused grin becoming even wider, "That's ...interesting." he finally let out a soft chuckle. Rue never really liked animals. Too messy and too noisy. He had never really had a pet before since his father was allergic and his biological mother well, hated them with a passion. He didn't know how it felt to own a pet but he was sure he'd hate them. Plus he had a short- attention span.

"Hmn. So, you with that other guy or something?" he said, the tone of his voice changing completely.

"It's bound to only get more interesting. There's supposed to be a Host Auction later, I heard, if you're interested." He blushed when Rue stepped closer, and he didn't really know why, but he just did. Self-consciously he raised a hand to his mask, making sure that it was in place and was hiding his blush perfectly (though the blush had probably migrated to his ears too by now). He shifted nervously on his feet, and tried his best to ignore the frantic beating of his heart. Instead, he focused on the conversation, and put all of his effort into making sure that it wouldn't falter and die. "And you'll come and visit Brad and me?" He sounded hopeful, a little too hopeful, but he couldn't help it. He genuinely wanted Rue to visit him again. "Though... I'm not sure how much you'll see me until I'm actually a Host." He frowned just slightly then, but it soon disappeared and he was smiling once again.

"I didn't like some of the llamas that much. They're tempermental. All I really have right now is my kitten, and he's snoozing on my bed." Remi had always liked animals, but he tried to keep his like of them in control. If he didn't, he'd have a multitude of animals stuffed into his room. As it was, he just had Socks, and the kitten was more than enough to keep him happy and satisfied.

He blinked up at the other man at the question, not really understanding it, or why Rue would ask something like that. "By 'other guy', you mean Brad, right?" He would assume that was whom Rue was talking about. "I'm here with him, if that's what you mean by being 'with' him. We're good friends, and he's helping me adjust here. I'd be a little loss without him." He gazed curiously up at the other man. "Did I answer your question all right?" It was very likely that he hadn't, because Remi himself didn't understand the question, nor its purpose.

He was a blonde.

Duh.

"Are you included in that host auction?" Rue replied immediately, just asking out of pure curiosity. He paused and said nothing for a while when the blond started talking once again. "I...guess." was his reply to the young man. He felt a little guilt inside for something, he just couldn't figure out why. The person before him seemed so innocent and direct-- this made him both uneasy and amused at the same time, which was an odd feeling. "Yeah, i'll come back definitely."

Rue blinked at the mention of llamas and kittens, scratching his neck in habit (he did this when he was either scatterbrained or speechless). Well, the young man did look like a person who liked animals. Speaking of animals... Remiel did remind him of a ....kitten.

He shook his head. Why the hell were these weird thoughts suddenly going through his mind? It was very annoying. His face turned to a slightly annoyed expression, not because of Remi but because he was annoyed by himself. The young man looked back at the host, regaining some composure as he heard the answer to his question. He chuckled once again. "Yes, that Brad guy. And.." his eyes twinkled a little in the dark, the dim multicolored lights flashing on his face, "Not that way, Remi." he was going to say something more but decided not to. The other seemed genuinely clueless about the question. It was best to leave it at that. "Nevermind me. Hah. Forget that question." This night was going to be more entertaining than he had originally thought.

Remi blushed at Rue's question, because to him it almost sounded as if Rue might've wanted him to be a part of the host auction, and that thought send his mind and his heart racing. "No, I don't think so, 'cause I'm not actually a host. I'm only kinda pretending to be one tonight so I can learn. I'm still in training." He smiled sheepishly, "I'm not very good at doing what a host needs to do, so I definitely need the practice." His whole demeanor seemed to brighten up, though, when Rue said that he would be coming back to see Brad and him. Now, that made him happy, because that had to mean that Rue didn't hate him. If Rue didn't like him, he wouldn't come back... in fact, he'd probably leave right now if he didn't like Remi. It pleased Remi to no end that he wasn't screwing this up, and it pleased him even more that Rue liked him. Maybe he could handle things without Brad's constant prescence.

...Ehhh, maybe not.

He was surprised by the annoyed look on Rue's face, simply because he had no idea what the cause of it could have been. But, then Rue was chuckling and the look was gone. Remi didn't see any need to worry himself over it anymore. "Oh," he looked a little surprised that he hadn't answered the question correctly. The young man took the next few moments trying to determine for himself what it was that Rue's question had meant, but he just couldn't think of the question in any other way then the way he had answered with. "Well, okay. I'll forget about it. If you want to ask it again later, I can try answering it right." If Rue wanted him to forget about it, he was going to forget about it. There was no point hanging on to the thought when Rue wanted to move on.

Returning to the two, Brad was content to see that they were getting along, but was more than a little disquieted by Rue's apparent closeness to Remi. If the blonde didn't mind, however, then he wouldn't step in just yet.

"Here we are," he said to Haru, guiding Lee around to a comfortable seat with a light pat on the dog's head. Turning to Rue and Remi, he smiled again, "Thank you for your patience." Judging by the looks on their faces (Rue's, anyway, the ghost-face wasn't giving much away), they'd had a pleasant or at least amusing conversation. The Host had anticipated no less with the blonde, pleased all the same.

Murmuring softly to Haru, "I'll be getting that water, I'll return shortly," he moved over to Remi, putting a hand on his shoulder. "This is Haru Kajinu, a friend of mine, and the charming blonde with him is Lee." Brad smiled a little; he wasn't sure he'd get used to that. "Would you like to keep these gentleman company for a moment longer? I'd like to get Lee some water." He left it open that Remi could go instead if he chose, but the younger man seemed to be handling everything just fine.
