"Sore, but mostly alright. And do something about the cut, at least lick it, because if it gets infected I don't know where to find borage leaves or horsetail." He continued on, ignoring the fact he didn't do anything about his cut either. We'll be there soon... He continued looking at the point, wondering if it was too high and they'd have to waste another day just so their blood cells could double. ...Nah, we'll be fine. Save multiplying for a snowy mountain, now that's high.

"Oh, that's good then." She smiled and started to lick her cut absentmindly until it stopped bleeding. Then she blinked and asked,"What's horsetail? It that a real horse's tail, so in order to stop an infection, we have to go to a ranch or something and pluck tails from horses?" Theia started to bounce up and down happily at the thought, though she felt rather sorry for the horse if they did do that.

"No, horsetail is a plant, sorta like ferns," he said. He opened his mouth to talk about violin bows but closed it, knowing she'd ask what a violin is and it would just lead straight into an annoying conversation. Aeolus sighed, hoping they'd get there already, his fur was plastered to his body and he really needed to give himself a good groom or something, feeling thorns and wood chips stuck in it as well, making clumps of fur stick together. Well, at least we're close... Somehow, despite how un-enjoyable this was, time flew by quickly.

Theia blinked and nodded,"Okie-dokeys...but why are they called horsetails if there aren't actual horsetails?" She shrugged, how strange could people be, calling things things that they actually weren't, such as butterfly, they aren't actual flys with butter on them. Strange, strange, strange...yet strangely funny. Then she looked up, and there was the peak, a mile or two up, they were finally almost there.

"Because they sorta of look like 'em I guess," he shrugged, "I don't know everything." He didn't know why people called things what they called them, he didn't know why cats meowed while dogs barked, he didn't know why the sky was blue... well, he did know why actually but that was besides the point. He gave his chest a few swift licks before continuing on. Finally, once we get to the top the first thing I'm gonna do is fall asleep...

"Oh," Theia blinked, still not really getting it, but shrugged it off saying,"Okie-dokeys, we are almost there!" She smiled happily as she continued to bound forwards, what joy it was to almost get to the peak. She could almost feel the wind blowing in her fur and able to see for miles, feeling that she was on top of the world.

Aeolsu blinked as they eventually reached the peak. He looked at his paws, to his relief the summit had not worn his pads to the bone. He blinked and looked out, everything much cooler as wind ruffled her fur. He could see every mountain, every tree, and see the horizon go on for what seemed like ages, the sky was lit with dazzling colors as the sun was setting. Then the center mountain caught his eye, he already knew it was the volcano but of course he didn't want to climb it which was why he wasted their time with this one. He opened his mouth to say something, but stopped as he looked at his feet, the pebbles shaking and jumping. He heard the same rumble as the other night and this time he felt it too. "...Crap."

Theia had been jumping up and down right on top of the peak of the mountain staring in wonders around the world, but when she felt the ground shaking beneath her, she stopped in midbounce, almost deathly still which was quite an achievement for her. "Ummm...Aeolus? Was that your stomach?" She asked without much conviction, what was happening? An earthquake?

Aeolus shook his head and pointed towards the tallest mountain in the center of everything. "It's an eruption." He thought quickly, what kind of eruption was it going to be!? From how the volcano was shaped, tall and steep, it looked like it was going to be a violent one. We need to get out of here, now! He turned to run for it, but stopped.
The lava flowed out quite different from how he imagined, rolling out of the mouth like a river, quickly but gently. Aeolus could feel the fur on his back become damp, everything becoming much hotter as the mountain area seemed to fill up with lava like a cereal bowl. "This is so strange... the way it's erupting you would think it's a shield volcano, but it's going WAY too fast for that and if it was a shield volcano it'd be shorter and have a gentle slope... The amount of lava there is is also unrealistic..." He blinked, whomever was doing all this clearly did not pay attention at all in o/m class. He looked at the foot of the mountain they climbed, it was surrounded with lava. "...Well, looks like we're not going anywhere soon till it cools," he looked at the peak of the volcano again, watching as the lava began to overflow out much slower than it had earlier. ...Dammit, it's even hotter! We'll die in because of the heat at this point!

"Eruption?" exclaimed Theia, her bright green eyes widening as wide as saucepans as she wagged her little fluffy tail with excitement. She had just climbed up this mountain to look around, feel what it was like to be on top of the world, and perhaps finally see a volcano. Yet now, not only did she see a volcano, but it was erupting! She bounced around happily, punching her paw in the air with victory, absolutely oblivious of the dangers around her and hardly noticing the hot lava pouring beneath them. "Isn't it great? Absolutely wonderful, isn't it? It is a pure miracle!" said Theia happily, watching the lava flow, wondering if she could swim in it.

Aeolus sensed her thoughts, "Theia don't go near it." His fur bristled, even if he wanted her to die he could never imagine someone dying so horribly. He looked at the bright red yogurt, steam and smoke rising everywhere. ...This sucks. He sighed and flopped onto his stomach, might as well rest for a while, it was sun down and night's fingers would creep and crawl over the sky soon enough. He stared below him at the lave again, should he be enjoying this? A once in a life time view? Maybe sometimes there was something to live for in life... But was it really the scent of the roses? Or was it the person there enjoying it with you? Aeolus blinked... okay, wtf was that and where the hell did it come from? He shook it off, now disturbed.

"Hmmm...?" muttered Theia looking up at him, "Why?" She looked back down at the lava, it looked okay, just like glops of orangy reddish pudding oozing down the mountain, after all, how bad could it really be? At the thought, she started to wonder if it was eatable...it looked like pudding enough aside from the different colors, the temperture...and the waves of heat radiating from it. Hmmm...Red and orange, wasn't that the flavors, strawberry/cherry and orange?

"Because, it's so hot you can die, even someone too dense to feel pain will scream their lungs out if they touched it," he commented, watching black crust start to form in some areas. Aeolus blinked, "shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more care-free and more bouncy with glee. Rough winds do not shake thy buds of youth, to the point that summer's lease hath all too long a date." He blinked, wtf muse and now poetry? He must be dying, better find a stream before I go insane and die! He got up, wondering if the lava hadn't evaporated all near-by water sources.

Theia blinked and muttered,"Oh." She was a bit surprised that such red/orange pudding would be so harmful and evil. She turned around, a bit surprised as Aeolus spoke his few lines of poetry, was he Shakespeare or something? She paused, did he expect her to be just as good or to match the lines? She shrugged, might as well try,"Ummm...shall I compare thee to a winter's night? Thou art more intelligent and ze wonderful with cool. Evil lava does not melt thy piles of snow, to the point that winter's wind blows all too far to count." and she paused, and thought for a bit and added,"O thee is ze recarnation of Severus Snape and Shakespeare! Thy is intelligent, powerful and ze magical!"

Aeolus slapped his forehead with his paw, oh well. "Heaven and hell both hath pity upon thee, such an angel to be surrounded by the monstrous atomies of the world. Fly, Theia, fly! To a better home, a better world, a better place. Be safe." Shaking his head furiously he padded off to find a stream to drown his face in for a few... years.
