"My son has been with us since he was five so he knows many things about the camp!" the woman spoke, patting her son on the back energetically before moving on, "Another one of our old camp buddies is none other than Bryant! Come on up here!" The woman gave a strong motion as though she was going to yank the male up on stage with an invisible string. Bryant ran up on the makeshift stage with the others, grinning broadly and holding his hands up. Some of the older kids made some racket as the college male egged all the kids on to cheer louder. He seemed to be having a good time, as usual. "Our final aide from the boys' cabin is Zachariah!" the woman spoke cheerfully, "Why don't you come on up here!" Instead of running up as Bryant did, Zach remained planted right where he was. He wasn't going to get on stage and look like an idiot like everyone else. That old b***h was crazy for even thinking that he would."Ahaha, seems like our new helper is a little shy! Don't be nervous!" the woman shouted out before hopping off the stage and grabbing the teen's arm, dragging him to the stage. Zach looked completely sour in front of the kids, a deep set frown on his face as pulled away from the far-too-happy old woman. The children seemed to quiet down from Bryant's, staring at the new, grumpy counselor. Even Bryant had to turn his head to look at Zach, clearly unimpressed by the boy's attitude. Ms. Parkinson seemed to ignore the sudden depression that fell into the air, going on to the girls. "For the girls' cabin we have Nadia joining with us once again!" Without needing to be told to, Nadia started to head up to the stage with a vague smile on her lips. The girl seemed to have a bounce to her step, her natural raven-colored hair showing more prominently as blue-dyed hair bounced up. When she finally made it up on stage, she stood relaxedly, looking as though she could fall at any given moment."Next we have the ever popular, Brittany! Come on up here girlfriend!" the woman announced, waving the girl up on stage flamboyantly. It was possibly the worst thing a grown adult could have done, but the older woman never did seem to get the hints.

Grinning at the campers as she was called up--though a little embarassed on Garrett's behalf--Brittany started a light jog toward the stage. A few paces before reaching the steps she did a quick front flip, pasuing to get her applause before continuing up onto the stage to stand with the others. She adored the attention she got from the children, but her goal was to get Bryant's attention. Had he seen her flip?

Nadia was smiling at the girl, reacting with the rest of the campers. The girl was such a show-off and that was likely the reason why Nadia didn't normally associate with the vice president of her high school. Still, it impressed the campers.Bryant had definitely seen the girl's flip and he looked like he could have been laughing lightly as he clapped in admiration of the stunt. It wasn't as though anyone could have done something like that-- which made it impressive in its own right. "Woo! Go Brittany!" Ms. Parkinson cheered loudly before getting ready to introduce the final counselor. "Our newest counselor for our lovely girls is lovely Miss Chloe!" the woman shouted out loud as the campers had calmed down from Brittany's stunt, "Everyone welcome her as she comes up here!"

Brittany beamed in the direction of the other teenagers as she approached them, though she was focused on Bryant. Again, her hopes werre sent high. He liked her flip! She stepped in line with them, next to Nadia, as she gave up the spotlight to Chloe. With a slight pinkness on her cheeks at her introduction, the college student waved at the children. Unlike Brittany, Chloe's attention was fully on the boys and girls welcoming her. Still, she watched where she was going, too, and quickly made her way up onto the stage, taking her place next to the younger blonde.

"There you have it! Our counselors and aides are here to not only watch you, but to help you as well! If you have any problems, don't hesitate to ask any of them!" the woman spoke, "And now! Line up and get some lunch!"

"Alright guys, this way!" Garrett had already started toward the crowd of kids. He held one arm out in the direction of the canteen, though most of them already knew where it was. Chloe had taken up the rear, walking off the other side of the stage. She was more or less making sure that the bigger kids didn't cut the line or push the smaller ones back.

Bryant hopped off of the stage to help Chloe and Garrett out with the other kids, smiling the entire way. Sure, he could feel hunger nibbling at his sides, but he would be able to get food as soon as everyone was done getting their own. The light smell of hot dogs could slowly be made out as some of the other volunteers went back and pulled out the hot dogs that had been warming in their buns. Zach got off stage as soon as he could but instead of trying to help the kids, the teen found a chair away from the food and sat down. His arms were folded in front of his chest, disgruntled at the head counselor's reaction. He had to get her to feel like the kids had. Then he could go home...Unlike the other teens, Nadia didn't get off of the stage, instead taking a seat-- indian-style-- on the stage and pulling out her game. She wasn't feeling particularly hungry-- though it was somewhat of an off day if she admitted to being hungry. Time she could spend eating could be used to progress further in her games.

Brittany had been among the ones to go get the food ready. As soon as Ms. Parkinson had told the kids they could go get food, the blonde had been surrounded by some of the kids in the middle age group (around 8-10 years old), either asking her to teach them to flip or wanting to show off their own skills. It had been a bit much for the teenager, and so she had slipped back into the kitchen. Garrett, though he led the line to get food, was also going to wait until all the kids were fed before he ate. If his mom caught him trying to eat anything before then, he would probably be in trouble. No... definitely. Once he got the line--or as close as the kids would get to one--where he needed it to be, he stepped aside and let them go in front of him. Garrett stood to the side, making sure they stayed in line. Chloe wasn't even hungry; she had snacked on the bus. She played around with some of the kids, though many of the older ones preferred Bryant, a familiar face. The college student smiled at her classmate as the children vied for his attention.

Once all of the kids were able to get their food and finally take their seats, the counselors were able to get their own lunches and sit down at the counselor's table, which was located near the front door of the cafeteria. Bryant got his food and took a seat down at the table, a light smile on his face the entire time. Zach didn't want to get up and get the food, but he was feeling quite hungry. The next scheduled feeding was unknown to him as well, so the boy stood up and grabbed a plate, sitting at the far end of the counselor's table. He didn't want to talk to anyone, just eat and get out.

The one downside to having taken a post in the kitchen was that Brittany had to wait for everyone--including all the counselors--to get their food before she could comfortably leave to go sit with Bryant. Still, though she didn't get to sit across from him, she sat next to the new counselor--Cleo was her name, right? No, it was Chloe... Yeah, Chloe. Brittany wasn't happy that the girl knew Bryant from school, but it didn't show on the blonde's face. She simply smiled and ate her lunch. Chloe had an entirely different reason to sit with Bryant than the aide did. She wasn't very outgoing, and so the girl had chosen to sit with the one person she knew. Heck, it had taken her most of the first semester to even speak to him! She wasn't talking much anyway. Garrett had managed to avoid sitting with his mother, though she was at the same table. He had sat near to Bryant, but left an empty seat between them, and was sitting at a diagonal from Brittany. Despite knowing both Bryant and Brittany well enough to make conversation, he didn't. Every so often, his gaze wandered over to his mother or to Zach. That guy was going to be a pain.

"We're in for one heck of a ride, right?" Bryant spoke playfully, "Everyone's really looking forward to this year! Did you see how excited all the kids were! I want to play too~" "What are you? Five?" Zach's voice spoke sourly. He didn't want to talk to those people, but the older boy was way too happy and childish. It was hard to believe that he was in college."Aww, come on! Loosen up, new guy! The kids'll do all the hard work!"

"Yeah, we just have to make sure nobody gets hurt," Garrett added with another glance toward Zach; "The more you brood... Well, the more my mom's gonna try to cheer you up." He smirked slightly, nodding his head toward the older woman at the other end of the table, talking cheerfully with some other volunteers. "Plus you get paid for stuff the kids pay to do!" Brittany added. On her own, and especially at school, she would have avoided Zach like the plague... But Bryant was talking to him, and trying to convince him to stay! Therefore, she had to join in. It made perfect sense!

"This place is a waste of time. There are better things to do than watch these brats wet themselves," the boy responded, standing up abruptly. Zach shoved his hands into his pockets, walking off with a rather arrogant look on his face."Geez, what's his problem? It's not that bad..." the other male spoke, folding his hands in front of him. The smile on his face had changed to more of a neutral expression. The kids weren't that small and the aide should have known it.

"What a jerk!" the blonde accused, making a face in the new guy's direction. Brittany would have liked to call him something else, but she had to watch her language around the kids. She had also waited until Zach was out of earshot. How dare he be so rude to Bryant! "I feel bad for the kids in his cabin," the younger male commented, a slight frown on his face as he watched Zach walk away. Garrett just knew that his mom would probably expect him to make the new guy welcome, too. What Garrett really wanted to do was push him in the lake... Maybe his heavy punk clothes would weigh him down... "Well, maybe he's just nervous?" offered Chloe. Different people acted different when they were nervous, right? She was shy, and Zach was... well, rude.

"I'll help out the kids from his cabin," Bryant offered. Having Zach as the head of one of the cabins was pretty bad, but hopefully, the college student could help the kids not be completely miserable. If the teenager was going to act like that the entire summer, it would be pretty unbearable. Zach had left the cafeteria, moving back to the front of the camp. There were so many things he could be doing at the moment and none of them involved being at Camp Brat. "********' waste of time," the boy murmured, his dark colored eyes looking around at the trees and the lake in the background."Nadia! Come eat with us~" Ms. Parkinson finally spoke cheerfully, looking out towards the girl. She had stood up and looked as though she was about to go grab the girl. "Ah, no thanks Missus P!" the girl spoke with a small smile. The girl finally stood up and hopped off stage, "I'm two rounds before-- ah, I mean, I'll go check on the luggage!" Nadia placed her game in her back pocket before heading towards the door."Nadia, you're going to waste away to nothing if you don't eat!" the woman argued back. "I'm fine! Don't worry about it!" the girl spoke, giving a forced smile and laughing a bit.
