Mr. Nobody looked to the young man who just addressed him, stopping the conversation with the man for a moment. Mr. Nobody was all shady, right down to his voice. "I'll get to you in a moment, son." He said, looking at him directly before getting back to the man at hand. "Striders, think they own everything..." Mr. Nobody grumbled to himself as he ordered another succubus to see if the kid needed anything.

After running, I don't feel like I deserve to be a Strider... He thought to himself thinking about The Bartender's comment. "I hope this doesn't end too badly." He said accidentally aloud. Abel bit into a cracker he dug out of his bag and sat in silence for a long while.

Karma looked at Gabrielle and nodded. "I do consider myself lucky.... I normallyfind myself running high on luck.... although I don't find it entertaining.... other need luck too... and somehow those who really need it don't get it. Yet I do. It certanly came in handy in my childhood... and back in the forest though." She said then let out a sigh. "I don't know why...but it seems luck wants me alive..." she said somewhat confused by it all. She pondered on the events for a while then let out a sigh. "The Dawn strider helped me for a while... after I found him injured... and Shaun... he wasn't like most dark knights... he was sweet and kind... nothing like a dark knight... I couldn't believe he was one... even after I found out." she said letting still unable to grasp the concept of it all.

Gabrielle heard the younger woman. She smiled "Luck is a good thing...just don't push it too far..." she warned. "They might have spared you or even saved your life...but their purpose is rarely as uninterested as ours...next time you see them...well I would avoid them." she smirked. "But I know that you won't...you have too much faith in the kindness in living beings..." she noted. She looked at the pretty woman. "Do not get me wrong Lady Karma...I envy you for that...but I have paid the high price to learn this lesson...I just...wish that your learning won't be as...costly..." she finished, her eyes in the tavern's room.
She had noticed a new comer. A tall young man, hiding himself as much as possible, which made him very obvious even if the middle of this crowd was talking with the bartender...who somehow seemed annoyed by the brow hair man. What was interesting Gabrielle, was that this man...was a man, in another word he was human. Looking around in the tavern, there were only two humans: Gabrielle and the new comer. The rest was composed of a cait, several succubus, a...chair-man and other strange creatures and monsters. What is he looking for her? she wondered.

"You know what, I don't need this!" the man in the black coat shouted rather loudly, all the attention drawing towards him now. Mr. Nobody, with a powerful stern gaze, eyed the man through his one eye. "Very well, sir. If you refuse to pay your tab, I suggest you leave, before something bad happens..." "I will!" The man turned around, hesitating to walk further for some reason.
All the meanwhile, Gabrielle's and Karma's food was served to their table as the Succubus, a bit distractedly, entered with the food. The succubus's in the room all eyed the man, as if he were about to be their food...
"You won't hear from me again, old man... I wont pay a dime...ooof!" As the man walked to the middle of the room, he suddenly bumped into a small figure. This figure as also cloaked, but unable for anyone in the room to see his face. "Watch it you idiot!" the man spoke, picking up the figure by his collar and tossing him like a doll, right into an empty table.
The small figure in the cloak struggled to get up in the splintered wood. Slowly, his black hood slipped off, revealing a small boy. His face was rather stoic, but this youth was beautiful, like an innocent child. The boy lay in the rubble, unknown if he was hurt or not.
The man looked to the boy in disgust, him clenching his fists. All eyes were at the two now. "Stupid kid, I should teach you how to look where your going... the man said, as he slowly advanced on the child, who still looked stoic at the floor.

Karma looked at Gabrielle as if to ask "what do we do?" she couldn't believe all this drama was going on in one place. "this is worse than my cildhood... I can't believe how much drama can happen in such a short amount of time. s-should we do something?" She asked slightly worried for the sake of the kid. "He's so little... we can't just stand on the side lines can we?" She asked feeling herself starting to panic.

Gabrielle was starving. She stared at her food and at the action in front of her. She had doubt as for the purity of the boy. So many demons were able to take even the purest forms...but...what if? She could not stay and watch. She gave a deep sigh and patted Karma's back in an unusual casual gesture. She quickly took her knife and fork and took a big bite out of the delicious dish. She swallowed it with a sip of cider. Her glass hit the table quite strongly.
"Don't worry Lady Karma" said the Holy Knight in a whisper with a smile. She looked up at the man and without moving of her chair she spoke, very loud so that everyone could hear. "I would not do that if I were you..." she warned, looking at the man with piercing eyes, a smirk on her lips. "I hate when someone else put his dirty hands on my meal..." she finished her sentence with a mysterious smile, staring at both the child and the man. At that moment, the boy looked delicious indeed...

Karms let out a sigh of relief when Gabrielle spoke. She had a hard time grasping all that was going on and she herself wouldn't have been able to fight anyone."thank you Gabrielle..." she said quietly and softly then took a bite of her fish. and a sip of water. She swallowed, greatful to have some food in her stomache. She then watched to see what happened. When she saw the look in Gabrielle's eyes however, it sent chills down her spine. "Gabrielle... y-your joking aren't you?" She asked hoping she was. She would have to hold back Gabrielle if she wasn't joking but for the time being she just looked at her with pleading eyes as if to say "you can't...be like those vampires...in the forest your different."

"I doubt I'd be very tasty." The boy said suddenly, looking up the the holy knight with big gray eyes. Beauty shone brightly in this boy, right down to his soft voice. He slowly stood up, not facing his attacker, but at the two women eating.
"Ah, what do you know you dumb broad, I'm gonna teach this kid a lesson, whether you like it or..." The man stopped. from the boy, innocence seemed to show, but something sinister was about to happen.
There was a horrible sound, like the ripping of flesh and something slithery and slimy creeping from an unknown place. This slimy sound was known soon enough, for from behind the boy, something strange creeped out. At first, it looked like a flower bulb, sprouting from the boy's back. It was green, and as it bloomed, it's flowers were purple with black spots. The flower began to grow and grow, starring down the assailant, quite literally. Two eyes formed from the bulbous flower. It was a very cute thing too. It was as a living flower. However, the man could only stare at this strange sight. The flower blinked for a few moments, examining the man closely. Then, it opened it's jaws.
There was a scream, a horrible scream that pierced the ears of all who were in the tavern. There was a blood gurgling sound as the flower picked up the man, clothes and all, and swallowed him whole. The flower retracted into the boy, who still held his innocent gaze. There was no trace the man ever existed.
Prince Manadeas Fleur took himself a seat, and patiently waited as the Tavern died down.

Sain smiled wearily as she opened the door to the tavern and entered. It seemed quite lively, everyone was talking and gasping. She grinned even wider. Finally, a place to stop and rest for a bit. She hadn't been in the Dawn Striders long, but it was certainly a lax group. She still didn't even know anyone from her faction. Her eyes followed the pointing fingers of a few girls to a boy sitting alone at a table. He was certainly pretty, and looked quite hospitable, and Sain being the naive girl she was, decided he could use some company. The neko girl gracefully, and stealthily made her way through the tavern and to this table. She softly placed a hand on the back of the chair across the table from Fleur and smiled again.
"Hello there good sir, do you mind if I take a seat with you here?" she asked softly. Although her voice was gentle and kind, it held a certain passion to it.

Gabrielle smiled and did not move. She was not even surprised. She had had doubt earlier as the humanity of this beautiful boy. "Well...another time maybe..." she joked as he sat at a table.
She turned to Karma with a smile. "Do not worry..." her ton was not playful anymore. "I just said something to make both of them stop and reveal themselves." she sighed. Why so much beauty had always to hide pure darkness...? she wondered, sad.
She had not lost her appetite and without another word, nor look at Karma she ate her crepes and drank her cider. She soon ordered a second one of both. She was starving.

The 12 year old boy must have obliged, for after a rather nasty meal he felt a bit lax himself. Fleur simply nodded, his wide gray eyes examining this Neko girl closely, but loosely. He felt rather comfortable here, despite causing a scene. Either way, a succubus hesitantly made her way to him. Fleur shook his head lightly as she offered food. The man he had just devoured was greasy and large, bit filling nonetheless. it would give some nutrients to his plants later. Silent, Fleur sat as the succubus asked Sain if she wanted food or drink.

Karma was in shock from what she had just seen. "amazing... he's so... I can't believe it." she said unable to grasp what the child had done. "what if... that had been one of us... you know I can't fight... that vampire thing... it was only a spin of luck that I had lost my temper..." She said quietly. She kept a hushed tone from the shock, her voice couldn't be raised even if she wanted to.

Sain smiled to Fleur and gracefully took a seat. She vaguely wondered why he didn't speak, but threw the thought from her mind and ordered a drink. Ale to be exact. She loved the sweet drink for some reason. Another reason why she'd left her clan. Only water there. Ale was a rare treat. She waved the succubus off and took up studying Fleur.
"So, what's your name?" she asked pleasantly, still smiling as she waited for her drink. Might as well get to know the fellow.

Fleur had stared off for a bit, but slowly took a gaze to Sain. His gaze was soft and pleasant, as most children's were. Enjoying the company, Fleur let of a sweet smell in the air, it smelled like roses. "Fleur, and yours?" His voice seemed sing-song, pleasant like himself. Then again, all of Fleur's features were pleasant. He couldn't be called a flower child if he were anything else.
