Timothy walked along the beach, the sound of the waves beating against the shore and the smell of salt in the air.
My heart is beating like the waves to the shore...
He'd grown in Kansas, he wasn't used to all this. Still, it was peaceful. It let him think. Damn it was hot though.
...this heat in my chest. I can't take no more.
Truthfully though, things didn't seem that bad here. Timothy was just used to feeling glum.
Lauren was turning into a bit of a beach bum lately. Before she came onto the streets, she loved swimming and was even on the high school swim team. It was nice for her to explore that lost part of herself again.
She was coming out of the water for a break when she saw someone she didn't recognize approach. He looked around her age and rather over dressed for the beach. Still she didn't like her scrawny body to be seen so she quickly wrapped herself in a saroung before she met with the person. "Hey," she greeted rather shortly. "You new here?"
Timothy looked up when he saw this thin girl talking to him. "Oh... hi." he said quietly.
Skeletons lit by the light of the sun...
That was rude, he thought to himself, she wasn't that skinny. He began to drift off again and then caught himself. He didn't wanna be rude.
"Ah... I'm... Timothy." he said and sort of half smiled, his eyes looking away from her. Oh she was going to think he was such a loser, which he was.
...their skulls mock and tease me.
Thorn shrugged a bit. This was going to be awkward, Timothy seemed to be the shy type and Lauren always scared away the shy sort. Ah well, she couldn't help who she was."Thorn." She introduced herself. "Have you met the Doc yet? He's pretty cool for an old rich guy, seems to understand psychos like me." She laughed a little. "So, you play that thing or is it just for show?" She said eyeing the guitar on Timothy's back.
Your pricking thorns... ...make me bleed.
"Thorn... right... cool." Timothy shrugged and smiled. She seemed nice enough, looked a litle scarey though. "No I haven't met this doctor."
What did she mean by psychos like her? Kind of a weird statement he guessed. But this was supposed to be an artistic resort. He knew as well as anyone that artists could be kind of weird. He wondered if this Doctor really was a Doctor, I mean maybe it was a title and all. He'd met Dr. Lockheart but maybe she was just the island physician or something. Course that was a large lab complex just for a few scrape and cut emergencies. Just what was going on here?
Oh, hell, she was asking about his guitar. "Ahhh... yeah, I play, not very good though." well Timothy didn't think he was atleast.
Thorn kind of smirked. Geese, he was shy, wouldn't even look at her face most of the time. Just kept staring at the sand like it was interesting. She wondered what kind of animal the doc picked for him and knew that even if she guessed it would be totally off. She liked being in the know at least, gave her an advantage to situations and gave her an excuse to lie.
"Heh," She put her hands on her bony hips. "Bet if you carry that thing around all the time, you're good."
She looked towards the sea for a bit. "Music is great but I'm shitty with it. I draw myself, other people can do the creating." She kind of shifted a bit wanting to know what lie the doc fed the poor guy. Her mind swirled with a mix of feeling sorry for the poor dork and wondering what he would be like during his change.
"I don't... think so." he felt nervous, maybe he should play something. But that'd be showing off and he didn't really do that. Still it might stop the akward conversation.
Trying to speak but I'm not finding the words...
Oh, she did like music, well that made it a bit easier. "Yeah, I love music. Almost my whole life."
...then the words come out and they don't sound quite right.
Oh come on, think of something else to say, think think. This is why he never did well with women. He just sort of shifted nervously and tried to think of something else to say.
Thorn put her wet bleach blonde hair up into a pony tail and started dusting the sand off her scarred arms. This is pretty awkward... was a strong thought in her mind right now. But she also liked people like this because she could play them like a fiddle. Easy to intimidate if needed.
"Can't say it's ever been my entire life, never had things that easy." She bit her lip hard then looked at him. "So what kind of music do you play?" She was guessing it probably wasn't the kind she liked but then again she could bring herself around to tolerating any kind. She wished he would talk more... if this goes on her stay at the beach may be shortened to escape from the lack of conversation.
"Yeah, haven't had it easy either... know how you feel." Timothy shrugged and began to pull the strap around to the front with the guitar.
My broken life, makes it harder and harder...
"Soft stuff... I dunno... just stuff I feel." Timothy began to sing.
"Skeletons lit by the light of the sun... ...their skulls mock and tease me.
Then I saw you against the grey... ...your colors strong, mine had gone out.
Your pricking thorns... ...that make me bleed.
It's in darkest nights... ...that I believe.
Save me... from myself. Take me... somewhere else.
My heart is beating like the waves to the shore... ...this heat in my chest. I can't take no more.
Trying to speak but not finding the words... ...then the words come out and they don't sound quite right.
Your pricking thorns... ...that make me bleed.
It's in darkest nights... ...that I believe.
Save me... from myself. Take me... somewhere else."
He stopped playing, looking away, worried that he wouldn't get approval for the song, worried he would. It was horrible, I mean he'd just made it up.
"Damn, nice voice." Thorn said and she meant it. Sure it was more down than most of the stuff she listened to, she wanted to hide from her pain instead of being reminded of it.
"Wish I had talent." She said with her head down. She didn't really show people her comic art, but when she was bored and alone she created a comic of her life with her as the main character. It was a kind of therapy, to take herself out of the real and make herself the heroine. Of course, she would never show some of the episodes.
"I draw a bit... but it's nothing serious." She shrugged. "Kind of hard having all this time now and not having s**t to do." the island took away most of her usual daily worries and adventures. Having to replace them was really hard. That's why she was at the beach after all.
"So you wrote that?!" She was trying to be nice today after all she was in a good mood since the direction of her life changed.
Timothy nodded a bit about the line "I wish I had talent", he didn't like being confronted by people's own inadaquacies. He had plenty of his own to worry about.
Actually Timothy liked all this time with nothing to do, but he wasn't used to doing much. Besides playing, and singing, and writing, which he was doing now. "I like art... what... umm do you draw?" he looked away at his question. He knew it was bad to ask that, it's like people asking what you play... which she had done.
Before she answered she popped her questions of the song. "Yeah... I wrote it," as he looked down again. "Just now..."
Thorn sat down on her towel looking at the ocean a bit kind of lost in her own little world. Timothy seemed like a nice enough guy whose already felt pain, her conscious was nagging at her.
Yeah, she was tough but she was still a person. Still, maybe he would be like her when it came down to things and finally feel like he belonged somewhere. And he wrote the song just now... wow! She knew that some of it had to have her in it, or maybe that was just her being the center of the world.Damnit, was she really THAT skinny? It's not like she wanted to be.
She shrugged off that insecurity."Comics mostly." She replied. This was not going well... she was getting angry. But there were some parts of the song that were flattering if it were about her. She breathed deeply. If she were to help Moreau out she would have to control her anger and make people feel welcomed but damn it was hard.
Then she smiled as she realized that even if he did think of her as a skeleton, he would get his pain soon.A flash of intuition, "So you're here for your music?" She smiled thinking about him turning into a human mouse or a pig, that was a pleasant thought.
"Yeah... to practice my music here." he shrugged. "Beats working graveyards in a fast food resturant." Atleast he was honest, but now he sort of wished she'd go away. He wasn't fond of comics much either, generally too cheery, real life wasn't like that.
He wasn't good with people, and though he thought she was okay. He wanted to go back to working on his music. Maybe he shouldn't have sang that song, what if she caught on to the parts of it about her. Besides that should he really sing a song that involves love when he'd never known it himself.
"I'm gonna go...uhhh get something to drink at my place." Timothy was thirsty after the little singing sessions, but mostly he just wanted some space again. People made him far too nervous, no wonder he'd never had a girlfriend.
So that's how the doc trapped this one in was all she could think of. It was harder than she thought being in the know. "Hell, yeah it does! Though I never had a job myself, I avoid those s**t jobs all together. Easier living on the streets, plus can't get a job as a runaway."
Thorn sighed with relief. Finally a way out."Well, have fun, getting that drink and all." She kind of laughed a bit at the situation. Damn this was awkward. It's easier to be a b***h sometimes.
"I'm gonna stick around and swim a couple more hours before I head to my place. Duplex 10 if ya wanna visit again... or more likely if ya wanna avoid me." She smirked a bit.

Timothy meets Vasile Timothy sat outside the little room... the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Depiste all this he had his guitar in hand. The sky is dark. Nothing left but an empty room, I cry myself to sleep, My lonely life. My lonely life. The door to the duplex above him opened a small dog skittered down the stairs. He sniffed at Timothy a moment before finding a patch of grass to do his business in. Vasile stepped out into the sun, his sunglasses on and a thick paper script in his hands. He leaned on the railing and looked out over the village.Timothy noticed that whoever his upstairs neighbor was he'd decided to grace him with his presence. Timothy not being the social type often he didn't even bother looking up. Continuing to string his song and stumble over possible lyrics. Timothy had to stop and tune the guitar a little bit. It seemed off tune, completely distracting him from his writing. Vasile took a few steps down the stairs. "You're not the composer...are you?" The man was gorgeous, especially with the sun backlighting him. He held himself with a grace a poise. He was wearing a mostly unbuttoned red silk shirt and fitted leather pants. He looked at Timothy from over his designer sunglasses, revealing emerald green eyes. Timothy nearly dropped his guitar. He felt something in his chest go thu-thump, thu-thump. This man was beautiful, but Timothy didn't like guys. Did he? He'd never really found any guys attractive, or girls for that matter just. Now... wow. What is this feeling... ...that I've never felt before.Timothy thought this all of the sudden, after a moment got his mouth finally opened. "Err umm yes... I mean no... I mean what do you need me to compose? Compose for what?" Timothy had never had so much trouble speaking before. He was normally just quiet. Vasile help up the packet of papers he was holding. "The composer for the movie, man? Nevermind, I think I get it. You're..." Vasile flipped open the packet and thumbed through the first few pages. "Timothy Matthews - a quiet, angsty emo boy who thinks he's on the island for an art scholarship."Timothy tried to take in all of what had just been said... tried. He didn't seem to catch all of it. "Y... yes... I'm Timothy Matthews... ummm... call me Tim or Timmy or whatever." Smooth Timothy smooth... Timmy?"So your upstairs? From me?" Timothy looked a tad too excited about this prospect. "Allright there, Timmy," Vasile stepped down to the bottom level and offered his hand. "Vasile DiRossi," he introduced himself with a smile, as if to say but of course you already knew that. "Yeah, I'm upstairs, for now at least.""Oh... that's awesome." Timothy said. Vasile DeRossi, where had he heard that Vasile DeRossi, Vasile De... Timothy stopped mentally and before having time to stop his mouth he said. "The talentless pretty boy actor?" Timothy didn't know what to say once he'd realized that had just slipped out. He had no idea exactly where he'd heard that or why he'd said that. He'd just heard that Vasile was... was... oh god what had he said. Vasile's eyes grew to the size of dinner plates. "EXCUSE me?""I mean... I... I didn't mean that. I'd just heard. I don't know what I said." calm down Timothy, think of a way to recover this there has to be a way. "I mean... I was joking, I really love your stuff. Just testing your sense of humor... heh?" Timothy stamored and tried to look funny. Vasile did not look amused. "Wonderful. Well, I'll let you get back to your music then - if that's what you're calling that stuff." Vasile snapped his fingers as he turned around and headed for the Center, his little dog following at his command."Wait ummm... listen I've got some soda inside." Please please please he thought. "I mean, you wouldn't have to head over there, we could talk and stuff." Timothy didn't know what to say, he'd never even been in this kind of situation before. "I'm hungry," Vasile said, just barely loud enough for him to hear. He kept walking.'Timothy snatched up his guitar, quickly put it around his back and headed after Vasille. "Hey, wait up... I'm hungry too!" Vasile rolled his eyes and relunctantly slowed down do the boy could catch up."So what brings you.... ummm here?" Timothy worried, god he sounded like such a dork. He wondered if Vasile was bisexaul, I mean he was one of those Hollywood people right. They weren't really, but they liked to pretend. Maybe he could pretend for me...Vasile held up the packet again. "Same reason you are. This ******** acting camp bullshit. I swear, why should you have to train to act. Thats what I do. Its my job." Vasile grumbled looking into the cafeteria. "Is this for real? This is all we have to get food?""Acting camp... this isn't a... I mean... nevermind." Timothy didn't care why he was here. "It's not... bad. Not like high school or anything... much better food." Timothy knew this rather well, having just finished high school. Overall high school food was cheap, this didn't taste cheap, just mass produced. "Want... something to drink? I can grab that." Timothy found half of what he said and did out before he had time to consider it. Vasile grimmaced. "I was tutored, I didn't go to a public institution," he mused. "I've never had to suffer through this before." Reluctantly, he wandered over to see what they were serving. He looked utterly displeased, but his stomach was starting to get to him. "Is any of this certified organic?" he asked the server lady.
He looked back over to the boy. "Sure, Timmy, I'll have a Perrier."Timothy looked at the selection, he didn't see any Perrier. He wondered what else would work. He saw some bottled water and snatched it up. "They didn't have it, so... I mean got you this. I hope it's okay." He despertley wanted Vasille's approval and Timothy wasn't sure how to get it. "No... we they aren't organic certified. Good cuts though." Delia said.Vasile frowned. "I guess." He took the water and opened it, taking a drink. "Just, uh, serve me whatever. Watch the fat, lady - and no bread."She served him some meat, looking for one of the leaner peices and some sides.Timothy sat at a table behind Vasille, waiting for him to sit down as well. It was clear Timothy wasn't hungry, he hadn't gotten any actual food. He hadn't even grabbed a drink for himself. Vasile looked oddly at him. "I thought you said you were hungy?""It ummm passed." Timothy looked at Vasille adoringly. He wasn't trying to, but it just seemed to occur. It seemed natural to stare at this beautiful man. Vasile set it tray down across from Tim. "You ah... want an autograph or something ,man? You're looking at me weird.""Ahhh... well an autograph would be cool. I don't have any pictures of you though..." Timothy realized he'd caught on to the way he was looking at him. "I have some back at my place, I'll hook you up sometime." Vasile picked at his food, looking a bit green. "They call his food?" he mumbled, finally pulling a bit on his fork and eating it."Yeah... sorry it sucks so much." it wasn't Timothy's fault but felt bad that Vasile wasn't enjoying himself. He had to be so odvious though. Maybe he should head back and consider what he was feeling. "Well.... Vasile... it was wonderful meeting you... I want you. I mean I want your autograph, as soon as I can get off... I mean get it." Timothy hurried out the door worried about what he'd just said. Vasile spit out the food he was chewing at Tim's Freudian slip. His eyes were wide and backed up. "Ya know, maybe an autograph isn't that good of an idea. Ya know.. I don't want you turning around and selling it on Ebay..." or jacking off to it....
He watched the boy go and rubs his temples. Over 24 hours, no girls, and a gay guy. Wonderful place.

The Offer The Dude walked up to Timmy's duplex and knocked on the door: "Hey Timothy? You there?"After a moment the door opened, Timothy in an outfit that seemed to be made of clothing that was black and white. "What's up dude?" Timothy asked. "Hi there." - the Dude waved his flipper at Timmy.
"I'm here for my apt of the bargain. Did you know that there will be a private showing of FInal Destination 3 in the club over there two days from now? And when I say private, I mean - just you and Vasil. I didn't get a chance to ask him what he thinks about you, but this way you can have the pretty boy all to yourself, ya know? Kinda like a blind date ...""I like the idea... how do you know it'll be just us though?" Timothy looked curious, but interested. "I'll make sure" - the Dude grinned. "So it's gonna be the day after tomorrow, around, say 8 pm? Sounds good?""Sounds good..." Timothy grinned at the thought of being alone again with Vasile. He hadn't seen him much since their first date. "Well, erm ... good then. So, there'll be people around you in the theater at first. But we are all gonna duck out when the movie starts"Timothy gave the Dude a look. He wasn't stupid or anything. "So he doesn't know we are gonna be in the theater alone then?" After a moment he grinned "Sounds good." "Nope. Well, be seeing you then, Timothy." - he waved and walked off

It's 8pm, and in the entertainment room. The BIIIG screen TV is on, humming quietly with a blue screen, and Ambrose if futzing with the DVD player, a plate of chilidogs sitting nearby.
Vasile had gone back to his room, takeng a very long shower, followed by a very long soak in the scented bubble bath provided in his room.
After that., he spent his usual hour or two fixing his hair, shaving, plucking, concealing, and dressing before the movie. At about 7:50, he sprayed on a bit of colonge and headed over towards the 'theatre'
The Dude is sitting in one of the back chairs, his legs resting on top of a chair in front of him. With a blissful smirk on his face, he is eating popcorn. there are a few more paper bags worth of popcorn standing by the entrance.
Timothy cleaned up and put on his best shirt. He had on a mix of black and white clothing that was odd but stylish. White pants and a nice black shirt. He decided to leave the guitar at home once as he walked to the theater.
Ambrose smiled to Timothy as he entered. "Ah, someone else showed." He stood up and checked his watch... "Hrmm... it's 8 already... wonder where everyone else is.." He looked around and shrugged.
"Well... I guess we better start. I'm sure more people will show up. I know a lot of people have been going through some rough times."
He walked over to the lightswitch and flipped it off, then sat down in one of the side single-couches with his plate of chili-dogs and hit "play" on the remote.
Vasile looked around, not bothering to hide the dissapointment on his face. "You said Cass would be here, Ambrose."
"OH, Cass is coming by later. Something about blow drying her hair, girly stuff like that" - the Dude grinned from his back seat. "Help yourself to soem popcorn, superstar." - he nodded towards the bags
Timothy walked into the theater and looked around. "Sorry for being a little late guys." He sat close to, but not too close to Vasile. "Ohhh popcorn, can I have some?"
"Help yourself" Ambrose said holding one of the bags out to him from his seat as the opening credits of the movie began to roll, and he started on the first chilidog.
Vasile frowned, completely ignoring Timmy. "Can we wait for her, then?"
"Huh? You want me to go get her for you or something?" - the Dude face still had this amused look about it. "She'll be pretty mad if we knock on the door now. I mean, she takes her grooming pretty seriously" - he nodded.
This was followed by a "Sorry Cassidy" mental apology. Why was Vasile so preoccupied with Cassidy of all people. Oh yeah ... he was supposed to made her feel better .... maybe Cass stole his heart in the process, too?
heh ... oh that's funny. GO GIRL.
Timothy nodded "You know this is the first time I've seen this. Heard your great in it Vasile." Timothy munched a few peices of popcorn. This wasn't playing out at all like Timothy wanted.
He knew Vasile wasn't homosexual. He still wasn't sure if he was completely homosexual himself, but he was hoping he could be nice and atleast get closer to him. But who was this Cassidy woman, had he already found someone?
Ambrose sat back in the couch after making sure the door had closed discretly behind Timothy, and the lights were dimmed, proceeded to munch quietly on his plate of greasy meat.
Vasile gave a sneer to Dude. "I don't think Cass is as shallow as you think she is."
Reluctantly, he plopped into a couch.
"I'm surprised you haven't seen it, TImmy, considering your, ah... tastes." Vasile shifted comfortably.
Oh wow. SNAP. There was indeed a great deal of vested interest here. Well, take that, you perfumed monkey: "I wasn't saying Cass is shallow. But I know her pretty well."
"She's my buddy and all that." he stretched out comfortably on the two chairs and gazed lazily at Vasile.
"Well I, didn't watch a lot of movies before comming here. TV either, in fact I haven't watched anything like that in three years." Timothy shrugged, it was true, and he might as well be honest.
Ambrose kept his mouth shut, and glad that the dark covered the bemused smile on his face. He watched the setup of the movie that seemed quite reminiscient of the setup from the first two movies...
However, about twenty minutes into the film...
Ambrose set aside the plate that the mound of at least four chilidogs had been sitting on and put a hand on his stomach. "Oh man..."
"I... I'll be back in a little bit...." He said, getting quickly to his feet and bolting for the door.[/color[
"Anyway, Let me go get her. You guys watch, be back soon." - the Dude stood up and walked out the door, makeing sure to close it after him. Man, go Cassidy. He was kinda proud of her.
Vasile muttered a 'thanks' at the Dude as he left. But it sure seemed to take him a while. But then Ambrose left and Vasile started to get alittle uncomfortable. He glanced over to TImmy and sighed. What a day. And now his ego wasn't even being stroked... only three people bothered to show up... and now two of them had left...
Vasile sunk lower in his chair and pouted, feeling very sorry for himself.
Timothy started to feel, REALLY guilty about all of this, this wasn't the way he wanted it. He understood that Vasile wasn't homosexual and probably wasn't interested in him.
Maybe they could just be friends. "Ummm your really good in this movie." Timothy shrugged feeling akward. "Hey listen, Vasile. I didn't mean to scare you so much the other day or make you uncomfortable."
"Your cool... really cool. I have a crush on you and I guess that's okay. Your the first person male or female I've ever been attracted to and I'm sorry if that makes you uncomfortable. But outside of that." "I can deal with being friends and neighbors if you'll let me."
Vasile just looked over to him and his eyes looked a bit wide. He didn't frightened, just a bit surprised. Great, just something else he had to DEAL with today.
Vasile wasn't used to dealing with things. Other people delt with things FOR him.
He had assistants, managers, publicists, phychiatrists... all these peple he paid good, hard-earned money to so this kind of stuff wouldn't all get dumped at him at once
And withing 24 hours he's having to deal with nagging thought of conspiracy theories, actually maybeing liking a girl that was maybe a bit shy and dorky, but of course she didn't even bother to show up for his movie... and now this... this gay guy liked him.
I mean, Vasile was around models and Hollywood his whole life. He new gay people. Gay people didn't bother him. But he wasn't gay. He was sure of it... well, honestly he never really THOUGHT about it. But he liked WOMEN, dammit
But... so far this Timmy fellow was one of the only people who seemed to be honest and sincere and, well... LIKED him.
Vasile didn't know what to say. He looked back to the screen and scratched the back of his neck.
"Look, man.. I uh.. that's really flattering and all, but, I'm not.. you know.."
"I know, figured it out the first time. Course I didn't think I was either till I met you." Timothy stammored for a moment. "I don't mean to say I think you'll suddenly change your mind."
"I just wanted a moment to talk to you, that first night I was a little, weird...er. I don't know, not used to these feelings either." Timothy shrugged.
"Incidentally, I don't think they invited your friend, so don't blame her." Timothy looked a little sad. "It sounds like you really like her, I know how that is."
"Sorry about all this, again." Timothy looked really sad at this point.
Vasile clenched his jaw and started straight at the screen again. What the hell... this guy had never liked anyone unti him? Well, thats an ego boost, at least. But... why couldn't he be some hot young chick?
His eyes darted over to him. "I, uh... I guess we can talk and stuff..." That didn't sound very eloquent. But he really didn't have a clue of what to say.
Then Cass was mentioned. "they didn't even invite ... you mean..?"
His eyes flashed. "You mean they dd so you and me...?" He pointed between the two of them. Oh god... "Do THEY think I'm.. you know?"
"And... dammit," he threw his arms crossed. "I don't know what I think about Cass. We just kind of... ended badly last time we talked and I wanted to say something to her is all."
"I don't think they think that of you. I sort of, bribbed the Dude into helping me. I didn't have anything to do with how it was planned, I mostly just wanted a moment to talk to you again." Timothy shrugged.
"Maybe put in a good word for me, sounds like you know how that goes at the moment too." Timothy hit the pause on the DVD player. "Wanna talk about it?"
"Ugh.....sure," Vasile said, trying to look relaxed, but in fact looking very uncofortable. "What, uh... do you want to talk about...exactly..?"
"Well I mean this Cass person. Do you have feelings for her or something?" Timothy shrugged.
Vasile swallowed. "I don't know yet, I just met her. I mean, I thought things were going well, but then we got into an argument. I just wanted a chance to apologize."
"Then you should, I could try to help... don't know her yet but I could try." Timothy thought for a moment. "Ohhh or you could write her a letter. I know where they keep the stationary."
Timothy had spent a lot of time writing since he got here and had long ago used up his own paper. "I can show you. If you do really like her I could help you write a song."
Vasile looked surprised, but then shook his head. "That's uh.. really nice, man. But I wouldn't make you do that for me. That's just not right."
Vasile shrugged, trying not to look too sensitive. "Anyway, I don't some 'Cyrano de Bergerac' situation happening and having her ending up falling for you" He forced a chuckle.
Timothy half chuckled and looked akward. "Well, atleast let me show you were the stationary is... I recommend a letter atleast." Then he smiled again. "After the movie of course."
Vasile nodded. "Okay... I suppose thats cool."

Attached to the front of your duplex door is a handwritten note with the Feral Labs logo in the top left corner. In a flowery script, the following message is written:
The Invitation You are cordially invited to a meet and greet Halloween costume party to take place Halloween night. The staff will be setting up a tent just for this occasion and will be catering, of course. We know that you most likely did not pack costumes, so if you will just leave a message with the staff (through the intercom) to let us know what you would like to dress as, we will be able to procure a costume for you. ~Aubrey heart
((OOC: The Halloween party will take place in a separate thread in the guild that will be made for the event. The event will last in real time from Friday Oct 28 till the end of actual Halloween, Monday the 31st. Feel free to come and go at your leisure. If you would like to get artwork of your character in costume, we can post it in the first post or two of the event thread - PM the art to Sabin Duvert and he will collect it to post when he builds the thread.))

When Timothy next opens his door, there is a large package sitting outside his door. When he finally gets it open and through the styrofoam peanuts, there is a nice, new amp guitar.

That night, at 3am on the dot, there is a LOUD sound of an explosion, originating from the sky above the Island. Looking out, or anyoune outside would look up to see a brief fireball in the sky. Following that, any power that is on begins to flicker, going through a few brownouts before finally shutting down altogether. If you happen to be awake at that point - you would notice all the lights around you, any electronic equipment that wasn't battery operated flicker and die. However, within a few seconds of the final powersurge and failure, you find yourself being pulled into a forced unconsciousness.
When you wake up, it is midafternoon the following day, though it would vary within a few hours depending on the individual. You are NOT in your duplex. You wake up to find yourself in a dug out tunnel built like it'd be for an animal but sized for you. Lauren is in the same tunnel just a bit away.
All of the buildings on the island are in 'shutdown' mode. This means that everything is locked tight. If you attempt to force your way into any of the buildings, your own duplex and the Town Hall included, then you will find that from the outside at the very least, they are impenetrable. If any window was broken - it is now fixed. All of the lights are off - in every building. Even the electric fence surrounding the main laboratory is turned off - though still closed. Attempts to break into the main complex will be met with equal lack of luck as breaking into a duplex or the town hall.
The only items you have on you are the items that you would have been wearing when you were asleep/fell unconscious: including clothing and perhaps a few battery-powered electronics IF You would have been wearing them. That's it. Everything else is where you left it - if it was in your duplex, it still is and you can't get to it.
There is no sign of what happened to the staff. The labs are quiet from the outside.
Welcome to the Wild.

The next time you go to sleep, your dreams are turbulent, restless and it is difficult to remain asleep once the nightmares begun. When you wake, an itching races over your skin as that skunky black and white fur begins spreading before your very eyes. While your entire body aches, there is no needle puncture wound anywhere on your body. The spreading fur is only just the begining. Your insides seem to shift and squirm as a nauseating pain begins to intensify... and with the pain, soon thereafter a horriffic smell drifts slowly to your nose. As your glands are developing and the musk is being produced you yet have control over it. And then the smell worsens, accentuated by more pain as your nose pushes out and your sense of smell heightens. The fur continues to spread, covering nearly your entire body, your tail pushes out painfully even longer, the fur long and bushy and catching the musk even more. As you writhe in pain, your claws on your hands and feet extend even further - making scratching at the fur a painful option.
