Kenta rubbed his eyes with one hand as he was still sitting up on the bed, his right arm supporting his weight ''I have to say,'' he fought back a tired yawn ''..you're the first one who proved to me that sleeping alone isn't the best thing in the world''--and he meant that. It seemed that his tiredness had made him more direct and blunt as usual, or was it really because of that?
The young man relaxed his body more, his back hitting the soft cloth again and feeling very satisfied. It wasn't the same story with his toes and feet though, which were still curled up as Brad worked his way up. Kenta rested his head on the edge of a soft pillow, his eyes staring intently at the ceiling as he tried to find something to make his mind preoccupied and not think about his toes. After a few moments of counting the cracks on the ceiling, the other man finally spoke again, causing Kenta's eyes to widen a little bit. He nodded his head, unsure if Brad got his response he sat up again, and glanced at the man. He seemed to be deep in thought? And it was like he was a litte unusual---maybe Kenta just imagined it but it still made him worried. The waiter moved his arm foreward to touch the man's shoulder then giving him a soft smile before speaking, ''What are you thinking about?'' he asked that because of curiosity, but mostly because of concern.

Brad said nothing to the first comment, focusing on the calf in his hands. He was as gentle as he knew how, moving from one leg to the other, quiet as he revisited old memories he hadn't thought of in a long time. At Kenta's touch, he glanced up, and momentarily slowed his work at the smile. That one seemed new, but maybe he was just lost in his own thoughts.
He smiled faintly in return. "I'm thinking that you need to stop sitting and keep laying down. Unless you're trying to do sit ups while I work, which seems counter-productive to me." Brad chuckled and sat back on his heels, watching Kenta from his crouched position, awaiting for him to roll over so he could continue. Or to clarify if he wanted his stomach massaged, at least. What he was thinking about wasn't really what he wanted to discuss, least of all the connotations it could draw, but...
The man glanced to Kenta's lip ring, then back to his eyes. They really didn't know much about each other, did they? After a moment, the Italian took a quiet gamble on honesty, opening up just a little. "I'm thinking about the person who taught me how to do this. I'm not as good as they were, but I'm...glad that you seem to be enjoying yourself."

The young waiter felt partly content after seeing the other man smile even just a little bit, he relaxed his body and nodded his head as Brad spoke. Kenta immediately laid down on the bed after the man's words and this time, he rolled over to the correct position, while still watching Brad's face earnestly. He felt quite content after that massage on his feet and felt no need for the older man to massage his back as well, but Kenta said nothing-- evidently his tiredness was getting the best of him. ''There, I can't move much in this position now'' he said stressing those words, he new he moved quite a lot in the previous massage so he vowed to keep still this time.
''I am enjoying... this reminds me of my mother, who used to do this kind of thing to me, as well as my abuela.'' he paused as he let that last word slip away-- ''Ah---Who taught you how to massage?'' his voice trailed off.

He smiled again as the man rolled over, climbing over the other's legs and preparing to start on his lower back. Realizing his position over Kenta along with the possible innuendo, Brad had to be mindful not to scramble off of the waiter to alleviate his own embarrassment. The man sat down by the other's side, kneeling there instead and trying to pretend the very faint color on his tan cheeks was not there.
Gently using the pads of his fingers, he started instead on the back of Kenta's neck under the soft curl of his hair, just beneath the base of his skull. He tried to concentrate on what the young man was saying, catching the foreign word but not knowing it off the top of his head. Another faint smile surfaced, mostly draining his face of the light color, feeling his heart sink a little. It wasn't a secret, really, but it wasn't his favorite topic, either. "That's nice, to have that memory. Of your mother." He paused, as his memory wasn't as warm and fuzzy. In fact, they were as far apart was was humanly possible.
Taking a deep breath through his nose, Brad smiled, and it wasn't at all as turbulent as his inner thoughts. In fact, it was nearly peaceful as he exhaled thoughtfully, "My ex-wife taught me. She was an acupuncturist, if you know what that is." Brad kept his tone light and conversational, trying not to think too much.

"It's one of the few things I can say about her though.." he moved his head so he could see Brad as he was massaging, it was quite an awkward position but he did not mind. Talking about his mother made him remember his father-- and that was one of the few topics that he hated so he evaded that. The young mans expression turned into a dazed one as thoughts flooded once again, and he pushed them away to the back of his mind, as usual.
Kenta felt a little ticklish as Brad started to touch the area in the back of his neck and twitched in reaction to this as he felt the rough fingers on his skin. But that wasn't any comparison as how the waiter reacted when Brad mentioned 'ex-wife'. His eyes widened in surprise as his head laid on the cloth and he tried to bury his face to hide his emotions. He did not know how exactly he felt about that, maybe he could understand what he had felt better later on but right now his mind was a blank.
"I see, yes I do know what an acupuncturist is..." his voice was now faint. His muscles seemed to tense because of this, maybe the other man wouldn't notice? "She taught you very well" he finally spoke again, glancing at the other indigo eyes. He did not want to pry, but he wanted to know more. He stared at Brad's eyes as if searching for an answer to the questions in his head.

If Brad could hear the young man's inner thoughts, he would have been pleasantly surprised to find a kindred spirit in the lack of affection for their fathers. As it were, he was not a man to pry, and let the comment go unquestioned. He smiled a little as Kenta kept readjusting himself, teasing, "I told you to stop moving young man." His fingers pressed just a little more against the waiter's neck, working into the tense muscle to ease the stress that was suddenly there.
He glanced to Kenta's face, and did a double-take, a little surprised to see the other staring at him so intently. "Thank you?" he offered, a little puzzled as to the sudden scrutiny he found himself under. He had an idea why he was being pinned under that violet gaze, but he would not venture to guess without confirmation. "We were both perfectionists. Do let me know if I'm hurting you, though," he added softly, hands moving to the mid part of Kenta's neck, and eventually towards his shoulders.

"You're not hurting me at all, don't worry.. I'll speak up when you do. But that's not likely." With that, Kenta stayed put for the next few minutes, letting Brad do his work on his back. He relaxed a little more but his mind was still filled with questions. The young man closed his purple eyes for a brief moment and slowly opened them, his gaze focused on the wall nearby. Then he decided to speak up.
"What happened to your ex-wife?" his voice was soft and hesitant, "You don't have to tell me, though" he added quickly, fidgeting in his position a little once again.
For some reason this conversation seemed very familiar to him, the way he felt. It was familiar, this uncertainty to open up, the hesitation and the butterflies in his stomach. Trying to shrug that off he wondered what Brad's past was like, he seemed so ..content with his life, happy even (to him) but maybe that wasn't the case?

A quiet smile formed, nodding to himself. "Good." The man's rough fingers continued down the remainder of Kenta's neck, massaging the point between the neck and shoulders when the young man spoke again. Brad smiled a little, leaning down so that he was in the waiter's line of sight, nearly upside down with the effort so that he wouldn't have to stop the massage. Opting for a bit more teasing, he intoned with a half serious expression, "We're sleeping together Kenta, you can ask what you want. And if you move again I'm going to sit on you, got it?"
He snorted with amusement, righting himself as he continued his work. After a moment, he answered the posed question. "What happened to her? She served me with divorce papers, but that was some...nearly eight years ago. I imagine she's moved back north with family. We were both workaholics, then, really bad...so we...well, if you can imagine the worst thing to happen to two people devoted to their work, that's what happened." Brad didn't come right out and say it, but he knew Kenta was a smart young man. He'd ask if he wanted to, and if not, he might find out in time anyway.
"It doesn't bother me," he added quietly, "to talk to you. So don't think you're stepping on toes."

Kenta's lips tugged into a smile as Brad spoke, the man never really did run out of comments like that---and it made the young man's heart lighter. His body was a little more comfortable than before and so his muscles relaxed. All the other feelings faded away except for the butterflies in his stomach.
The young man was a good listener, followed every word that Brad had said while keeping his composure. ''I see..'' he did not say any more, he was busy lingering on this new revelation. The man and him were quite similar than he ever new. Kenta knew how Brad must have felt at that time. ''Alright, i'll remember that'' he said in response to the other's last few words.
He debated within himself to speak about something he wanted to forget, it was only a portion of his story but it was significant to him. ''I kind of know how you felt. A person.. she.. broke my heart'' he reached towards Brad and gave him an affectionate pat on one of his legs.
''Anyway, past is past, right?" this host club honestly made him happier than he'd ever been.

Brad moved to the young man's shoulders, working over the steadily relaxing muscles as he listened to the other speak. At the pat, he finally did stop moving, lifting a hand to move Kenta's hair from his eyes for the second time that night. Looking at the purple-eyed youth, he was quiet for a moment, before asking, "Is she the reason for your lip ring? You don't have to tell me the story. I can't help my curiosity about you and it, you know."
He smiled then, drawing his hand away from the young man's face to finish the massage. It'd been a bit longer than he'd anticipated, but he was truly enjoying the company, and it was expending some of the energy he'd had pent up from a lack of things to do. Brad gently took the arm that had been reaching out to him, working on the waiter's biceps very carefully but with necessary pressure.
"You're right though. Can't say I'm unhappy with where it's lead me." He continued to wear his smile, small but honest. "You're almost free of me anyway. I'll work on your back after this and release you from my clutches." A light rumbling chuckle escaped him, dark eyes glancing only briefly back to Kenta's face before returning his attention to the work at hand.

He stared at the two indigo orbs that were fixated on his own, he got a little lost in them before actually speaking up again.
''Not really. This ring was my own personal choice'' he paused as Brad carried on with the work, he wanted to hold one of those busy hands right at that moment. ''...the ring started out as me rebelling against my father.'' Kenta left it at that, he did not want to burden anyone with these heavy feelings of his. He disliked having these memories and feelings to himself and did not want anyone to feel the same way.
The waiter nodded as the other man spoke, his eyes closed shut. ''I'd rather just stay here than anywhere else, really'' he gave a small smile as he laid there, ''..you know, you don't have to finish the massage'' he whispered. Brad had given him company and made him feel better than he was a few minutes ago, and that was the best feeling. He kept his eyes closed while he felt the older mans hands on him, still working away to relax his tense muscles.

Fingers kneading gently over the young man's arms, the Host listened with a light smile, glancing again to Kenta at the mention of his father. "I see," was his quiet reply. At the second statement, he couldn't help but laugh a little, a soft and muted sound. "Is that so?" Brad paused as he finished with Kenta's arms, looking at the youth. "You're welcome to stay," he said at length, "I enjoy your company." Another pause, followed by, "I'm fully aware I don't have to, Kenta, but I choose to. Tell me to stop if you've have enough, but I'd rather finish what I started." He winked, hands moving to the lower portion of the waiter's back.
There was a problem with this, though; the cloth was bunching, and Brad really didn't want to roll the crisp folds around. That would just put unnecessary pressure on the young man's back, and that would have been terribly counter-productive. He started to speak as his fingers slipped beneath the coarse fabric of the shirt, gliding over Kenta's skin.
"I dropped my last name, to rebel against my father." His thumbs gently pressed against the young man's spine, working. "I agreed to study abroad just to get away, but it ended up being more permanent than that." There was no bitterness or annoyance in Brad's voice as he massaged the other's back, eyes flicking between his hands beneath the shirt and Kenta's face. "It's still my legal last name, but I refused to acknowledge the name my father had given me. Heck, I still wont. I'm not sure it was the right thing to do, even to this day, but... I've had no regrets. I guess that counts for something."

He hid a small smile as a response to the host's words and quietly spoke, ''Yes, sir.''
Kentas eyes gave in to the gravity once again and his eyelids slowly covered the purple orbs. It was at that moment that he felt a pair of hands move slowly under his cloth and making direct contact with the skin on his back. The feeling of these hands were a little familiar [ his mother used to massage him ] but felt completely different at the same time. It brought a current that went down his spine, causing him to shiver a little bit. But Brad's hands had some kind of power over him, causing him to welcome those hands gladly.
''I see.'' he started, he knew how that felt because he was kind of in the same situation as the host with regard to their relationships with their fathers. ''That's a good feeling to have, not feeling any regrets. I've made tons of mistakes in the past but I believe that the future is what is the most important.'' he said this in a constant soft voice, he wasn't used to vocally saying how he felt, and this made him a little bit embarrassed. ''I'm sure everything that happens has a purpose.''

Brad smiled again, pressing his attentions against the young man's back, working slowly towards where he'd left off. "We all make mistakes, it's what we do," he replied quietly, good natured, "it's just what we do after that, that matters. We acknowledge it and learn, or deny it and keep repeating them. My father was the latter. I chose to learn. Somewhat." Another soft chuckle, shifting his position so he could better work on Kenta's back. He was about reaching the limit he could reach with the shirt and not ripping it.
"My mother told me once, that the world only puts on our shoulders what we are able to carry." His massaging slowed a little, still reaching where he was able. "Then again, she told me I was given broad shoulders to carry more than most people can. Not very reassuring, is it?" Brad rested his hands against Kenta's back, smiling at the waiter. "You shouldn't bear so much Kenta, not by yourself." That was all he'd say. He felt the waiter was too young to have faced the world so grimly already; it was unfair, almost.
He paused, thoughtful. It was getting a little more serious than he was used to, and he didn't want to spoil the enjoyable evening. Brad slid his hands over Kenta's sides and wrapped around his chest, lowering himself against the young man in a reverse hug, flopping onto the bed on his side so that they were both laying in that fashion. "Besides, who else am I going to get my hugs from? That's like therapy to me."
Either the man was feeling brazen, or he was sufficiently tired from the evening's events.

''I may not have broad shoulders like you but I can handle it.'' his voice was gentle as he said this, ''Burdens are hard for everybody to carry, even you. But i'm here to help.'' the last statement just flowed naturally out of Kenta's lips without meaning to. As he thought more and more about the cause of the weight on his shoulders he just scoffed and the memories faded away for a split second.
Arms started to wrap around the young man but strangely enough he did not react and gave it much thought than before. Maybe he was getting used to the gentle touch of Brad. Nevertheless, it felt reassuring and comfortable. He turned his head and faced the other man, giving him a placid smile after the other had spoke. He stared at the indigo eyes before him and his eyelids closed half-way. ''It's good that I can keep you sane, then..even just because of a hug.'' he chuckled softly and brought of of his hands to rest on the arm of the host. He wasn't sure if he was sleepy, he wanted to speak more despite his tiredness, he did not like the topic they were on but even Brad made it easier for him to talk about it. But to talk the whole night away with Brad would unfortunately be impossible.
