Liang frowned and shook his head. "No... I'll stay here with you just in case. If they come too close I'll attack them and slow them down." He smiled at Sayla. "I don't want to risk you getting hurt..."
Kusuma frowned. Boy did she wish she had a guy who would do that for her. She sighed and looked to the hive again. She could use some honey to drown this depression in right about now.

Sayla just shook her head.
"Oh, fine. I'm capable of doing that myself you know though..." She looked back over at Kusuma. "I'd hide if I was you."
Sayla looked back and started to charge a shadow ball attack. She opened her mouth wide as it charged close in front of it. It blasted off quickly, snapping the fibers that held the hive to the branch. Suddently beedrill were swarming from that side of the forest.
"Oh geese! C'mon!" Sayla yelled, running towards the building. But, the beedrill had circled around, trapping her and Liang. She suddently felt a ang of guilt. This was her fault this was happening...she had to be the smart one!

(( *ponders if she should just saw Liang is a glaceon now* =0; We started when he was an evee, but... )
Liang watched the beedrills carefully. He was determined to make sure they didn't come near Sayla. Not one thought in his mind made him feel like this was her fault. He was the one who wanted to get honey straight from a hive! Kusuma and him weren't the brightest of evees when they started this honey hunting business. "Don't worry Sayla... I'll protect you." He said and stared at the beedrills determindly.
Kusuma flew off in search of help. She had just made it out of there without getting caught. No one in the center had wanted to come out to aid the pokemon, so she had to make due with someone else. "Help! Help! Beedrills! Someone! Anyone! Please help..." Her cries pleaded.

Sayla shook her head and whispered.
"No, you dont have too. I can protect myself. Focus on getting yourself safely away from these thin-" She broke off with sudden surprise as when they were about to attack, the beedrill changed targets.
Cheek had come like a thunderbolt into the mass of beedrill. He had seen comotion outside througha window, and had hurried out. Hearing Kusuma had confirmed his fears, and had thundered in. He was knocking the beedrill left and right furiously, but they were overwhelming with the ability to fly giving them an advantage.
"Cheek!" Sayla yelled, suddently lauging herself towards those attacking her brother. She was biting and sending confuse rays every which way. but she was taking damage fast, and Cheek had been stung too many times, and his strength was failing.

Kusuma stopped in hovered in the air as she heard Cheek's name called out. She had to wonder... had he heard her calls and rushed to the scene? Something didn't seem right however. "Oh no..." She whispered. Had the alien been so silly as to rushing into a fight with flight based pokemon. "He's... he's hurt!" Without thinking much about it, Kusuma flew back. Her fears had been confirmed. Sure she didn't get along with the "alien" but she didn't want him hurt! She wasn't heartless... "Alien! Noooo!" She called and rushed over to hover above him. She didn't think of anything else, but him. "You're a fighting type alien! You can't-! We should get help...."
Liang shot out ice beam attacks at every beedrill that got near or hit Sayla. He barely paid much attention to the ones focusing on him. He was too concerned about her. The glaceon even used quick attack to get in front of an attack that was direct towards Sayla. It left heavy damage on him and poisoned him... "Drat... p-poison sting..."

Sayla was focused on protecting her brother, but her mind was racing. why wouldnt liang listen!? He had to take care of himself. What was it that drove him so much to protect her? She continued to fight as best she could, but beedrill struck from all directions. Then, a blow between the ears knocked her out cold.
The beedrill were dispersing and lessening as they were driven away. about a score lingered still attacking angrilly. Cheek shuddered, his eyes had closed, but Kusuma's voice woke him. It still frustrated him, even now, that she called him that. He wasnt an alien and he had a name. Then, he bacame aware his sister was there in front of him, trying her best to fend them away from him, oblivious from injuries she had suffered whan Liang could not strike down two attackers. Cheek heaved himself up, despite the poison, and uttered out a blood curtling cry, diving at the the beedrill, K.O.ing aniy that came to paw. He went into a furious onslaught.
"Stay away from my sister!" He collapsed beside Sayla as the last of them fled. He was out cold and injured badly.

"S-Sayla!" Liang said weakly. The poison was making him grow weak. He stumbled over to her side. He stared at her brother with half closed eyes. "Thanks..." He mumbled. He half wished he had been the one to do it. It felt that he had sort of failed to protect his friend. He cared for Sayla.... and he felt like he failed her. He passed out by the umbreon's side.
Kusuma's eyes teared up more at the sight of three fallen friends of hers... Well... the alien was sort of a friend she supposed, even if she was terrified of him. She gulped, knowing she had to drag them all to the pokemon center. Hesitantly, she crawled landed near the brawleon. "Stupid b-boy..." She mumbled, for once not calling him an alien. "So... c-c-cool and brave... and stupidly getting hurt. You could die... what if... they don't know how to take care of aliens at the center?!" Some tears crawled down her cheeks. The buggeon quickly entered the center again and brought out the pokemon nurse, Joy. She and some Chansey carried the three in with a worried Kusuma following.

Sayla awoke later, in a soft white bed, her brother sprwled out beside her. She blinked and looked around. Where were they? She recognized these walls, but her head was throbbing too bad for her to think clearly. Sayla licked her brother's cheek, then looked across to another bed, where who else did she find but Liang. She slowly got up and slipped out of the bed. Sayla looked around for anyone else, but she didnt find anyone. Her sides hurt from stings, but she ignored them. She walked carefully to Liang's bed and jumped up. She sat beside him, wondering. Why did he try so hard to protect her? Why didnt he protect himself like she told him? She sighed wearily.

Kusuma flew into the room with a jar filled with milk that she put on the side table. Nurse Joy had let her come into the room when she realized how concerned the buggeon was. Her ears folded back as she sighed. Cheek was still in the bed. "Aliens are supposed to heal fast. Why are you still sleeping...?" She said, practically whining her concerns. "If you don't get up soon I'm going to poor that honey on you my sister gave you. Aliens don't like it... so get up, meanie...." She let out another sigh and looked up to spot Sayla. "Eep!" The buggeon squeaked in surprise and almost fell over. "I.. didn't see you were awake... you..are okay. "She smiled. "At least you are..."
Liang was curled up a bit. He mumbled softly in his sleep. His dreams kept changing from good to bad ones. His facial expression changed and twitched every other second. The dreams were restless. "Sayla..." He whispered.

Sayla looked up and smiled faintly.
"Yeah...when Cheek came out, his only concern was to get me out of there...and Liang wouldnt protect himself. I dont know why..." She looked back down at him as he twitched and rested one pa on his cheek whispering quietly in his ears.
"I'm alright liang. I'm safe. Dont worry."

Kusuma frowned at Sayla's reaction. "Two guys looking out for you... and one not even related. I would be happy about it. You're lucky, Nyee~" She giggled a little as she looked over at Liang, suspecting there was more to Liang's protective ways then Sayla might think. "Liang does whatever he can for the people he cares about. A real sweety. I think that's why I've become such good friends with him. I'm a little..." She stopped before finishing her statement and folded back her ears. She murmured something and looked over at Cheek again to distract herself.
Liang's eyes opened a little. He blinked a few times before opening them a little more. "Sa...." He paused to yawn. "Sayla...?"

Sayla was confused by this comment. what did Kusuma mean? She shook her head and looked back down at Liang.
"I'm here, and alright. You and cheek though bore the real brunt. He hasnt even stirred yet..." Sayla said, then he face creased in worry, and she looked back at her brother. He was strong, and she knew he'd pull through okay, but it normally didnt take him this long to recover from anything...

Liang smiled and sat up slowly. He sighed in relief. "I'm so glad. I was so worried... I shouldn't of drug you both into that." He frowned as he looked over at the brawleon. "Has Nurse Joy said anything about him?" His brown eyes glanced over at Kusuma who still watched over the brawleon. Kusuma and Cheek were confusing. One second they were fighting and now Kusuma was hovering over him like a worried, mother hen. He smiled at Sayla. "I'm fine too. Nothing bad. I think I just had a bad case of poison sting..."

"Not that I know of...she hasnt been in since I woke up..." She said, then looked back at Liang. "Well, that leaves one person unaccounted for...should I go and try to wake him? I have a few methods that normally work..."She said...Then blinked.She wondered why Kusuma and her brother didnt get along. But, Kusuma didnt seem like the kind that was heartless and would abandon somebody she knew...They seemed like friends in a different sort of way.

Liang tilted his head. "You can wake him up? Well... if you think that's best go for it." He stood up to stretch himself out. A yawn escaped him afterwords. "Maybe we can find some honey around the center.... without the beedrills, when he wakes up." He chuckled and licked his lips. The glaceon had built up an appitite. A frown crossed his face as he realized he didn't ask Sayla if she was even hungry. "Sorry, I'm sort of rambling about what I want. Do you want food? I can wait for food..."
